Yes, I agree. However that last part when coming down the steps looks like a it could be the source of accidents with clothes getting hooked as you pass by. I think the same effect could have been achieved without that part, maybe less metal sticking out.
This has been one of the few episodes where everything has been completely sensible and practical for everyday living. This apartment feels like a real home. Congratulations, designer Anny Hong. You've done a brilliant job. 👍
so much light! no strange bed situation! a normal bathroom! a lounge space with a tv! a WALK IN CLOSET! a functional kitchen! this space looks absolutely magical
I really like the rattan design too, but it does requires a lot of care and attention not to damage it. Like the curved TV wall and the massiv Island the most.

I love the staircase! The biggest problem for me about loft beds is that it's always a ladder or a super steep staircase. This looks like a normal set of stairs, and I absolutely love that. That layout is something I could easily live in, which just shows that good design is so vital to making the best use of space!
I hate Murphy beds but I think the reason why there aren't so many lofts is because you need a relatively high ceiling to make it work in a way that isn't uncomfortable.
@@wesleychen4408 we have a two bedroom house with a seperate guest space. We have Murphy beds in our main bedroom and the guest space. We put the bed up every day and turn it into her office. The guest space gives them the option to turn it into a lounge. Murphy beds are easy and we have never ever regretted it.
@@wesleychen4408 It depends on the user, I could not use this apartment with a loft for example, as the wardrobe underneath would need more space as I am 194 cm (about 6 foot 4 for americans). For small apartments in downtown Budapest (city I am familiar with) lofts are common, because in the older buildings (19th century and early 20th century) the ceiling height is around 3,5-4 meters. I can stand up on some of those lofts, they are great! : )
@@wesleychen4408there is an Italian company called CLEI that makes also horizontal Murphy beds for one or two persons. Very modern and timeless design. Not cheap (count at least 4000 euros) but considering the increasing real estate prices, it is a valuable option.
I like the selection of materials in this apartment. In particular the rattan doors in the entrance foyer and the walk in robe. The fluted glass in the upper kitchen cabinet is quite unique. And the three metallic pendant lights in the kitchen are visually interesting.
Ooh this is really nice! Such an understated yet sophisticated space. I love the realistic amount of storage. It’s a tiny apartment but there’s no need to be a minimalist.
I've watched dozens of NTS videos, but this one is my favourite so far! The rattan details, wooden partition, kitchen island; everthting is beautiful and practical! And this is all achieved in a very small space - bonus points for allowing the designer to speak in her native tongue
First time in a long time that I quite like one of the apartment presented on this channel. They always feels impersonal, not practical, lacking decoration and books, but this one. It really feels like someone is living here and love it. I could definitely see myself in it, congratulations to the architect, she made an amazing job !
Brilliant design. Beautifully stylish, great attention to materials and detail, yet very practical. And a desk in the command position! I also love the use of metal for the thin shelving and staircase, the latter is a masterpiece of design in its own right.
So far, this is the best design I've seen in this channel.. It's very organized, not cramped up, it looks spacious and airy.. Also it's well lit because of those windows and balcony.. very neat and sleek.. well done!
I love all the individual touches (the stair rail, the bookcase, the lightweight divider-- everything, really), and they all come together so well. It's a practical space (anti-humidity measures, a large wardrobe), but it also just feels luxe, with touches like the deep blue sleeping area. Gorgeous space!
I love that you give the “captions available” option on this channel and there’s no expectation for the presenters to speak English - we shouldn’t expect the entire world to know only one language and be able to accurately translate what they mean.
That staircase is truly beautiful and it succeeds at looking light, airy, let the light through AND feel safe. The veranda design manages to add interest while keeping all the lines vertical or horizontal creating this crisscross pattern that looks cleaner and grounds the space instead of leading your eye to the top of the stairs as diagonal typical verandas do. I can't praise it enough! I love it!!
I absolutely love the design of the stairs! They are brilliantly designed, airy, beautiful and clever. Love the loft, love the navy blue, love the kitchen!
Finally a sleeping loft that does not look like the person needs to crawl into a burrow to sleep. This is a very practically designed space while also looking aesthetic. No unnecessary open shelving to waste space.
I love this one. It feels so open and spacious. Love the loft and airy staircase as well as all the built-in storage. Windows and a good view are so important. It’s great that the apartment is filled with light.
A very cool and relaxing design. I loved the effect of the stairs with the window in the background. Its design and materials are the most successful. Light and elegant.
Two areas that I really liked are the kitchen and bathroom. In my home both these rooms are small. You’ve given me ideas for me to use right away. We’re going to remodel our master bathroom and we may incorporate some of the design elements. And that staircase is so beautiful, that handrail is so sculptural , the designer may or not have been thinking about art when she designed it. It’s breathtakingly beautiful. I love how she made the bedroom area more private. Although I don’t particularly like loft sleeping areas, this one looks very sleek. Kudos to the designer!❤
i can't get over how much bigger the space looks. really inspiring. each part it was so impressive, with my favorite part being designing the wardrobe to be the exact height of the owner (although hopefully with an allowance for chunky shoes!). a humorous, intimate, and useful detail.
This place seems so spacious for 33 sqm! I loved seeing the rattan-fronted closets since I am planning something very similar to hide the gas boiler and washing machine in my bathroom.
I honestly thought this house is on the larger side, like 40-50sqm. I was surprised that’s it’s only 33! The layout made it look bigger than it seems. I really love this one!
Loved it. Only thing I would change perhaps would be the doors on walk-in robe to sliders. To make it less cramped when opening. Everything else is brilliant and so well considered and executed. Staircase is exceptional
Yes! sliding doors wouldn't make the owner have to move aside and around when opening/accessing and still practical with a rattan surface. Great apartment. I would've been a bit more visually consistent/unobtrusive/non-inexpensive looking with the the kitchen wall including range hood if the budget allowed (but that's just me). A very good and liveable space.
