Have you ever thought that maybe people aren't complaining in large numbers about the screen because they like it?. As with many things, the look is subjective. To be honest, this car has hit the top of my list, and one of the reasons is the 33" screen.
Yeah, I understand that.. Just giving my opinion in the matter. Some people like it, some people don't. All personal opinion.. The screen does work very well
Exactly. Manufacturers aren’t doing a bad job of integrating it into the dash that just isn’t their purpose. It’s a style that he doesn’t like, but Cadillac is doing a great job of integrating these larger screens into the dash. They curve with and around the screens.
I don’t like it, it’s distracting , blinding a dust and glare nightmare and if something breaks, everything stops working. If I want a tv I buy a tv , not a car with a tv glued on 😂
All fine and dandy till that screen goes black , and in time it will! This is why I like Mazda , simple and has actual buttons for the Hvac, and analog dash...
@@RedPandas3111 Then by all means, there's plenty of other cars out there without dashes like these that you can grab up, for now at least. You could always buy something older too.
Now my 1st new Cadillac XT4 SUV I can buy.

You are the first to praise the AKG stereo. I’m hearing a lot of people are disappointed in it compared to the Bose in the 23. What is it you like about it? Perhaps a separate video on the sound system?
It had nice clarity, good bass, and it had the volume I liked as well.. Don't get me wrong, the Bose is great, but Cadillac seems to be putting the AKG systems in more and more cars. The one in the Escalade is one of the best systems I've heard in a vehicle

I agree! I own it! W/Sedona interior! This is my 2nd XT4 Sport! Traded my '21 for the '24! Cadillac has taken the '24 to new levels!

Love the look and hate the IDEA of Premium Fuel recommended. Would love to see the XT4 become an EV offering.
My 2021 has 68K km on it all with regular.

@@jeffspicolli593 I Purchased a 2017 CD6 Plug-in Hybrid with the 2.0T turbo engine and for the next 4 years I would mix Premium with Mid-grade and Regular. At the end of the 4 yr warranty, It looked the same as the day I drove it off the lot with very low miles. The Dealership wanted it back and offered to buy it for twice KBB what said it was worth. That and a chauffeured ride home .
I don't like the idea either but I wouldn't risk it

I totally agree on the screens just being set on the dash. Thought I was the only one who hates that. Needs to be made into the dash in a sporty way

I got the first 2024 Cadillac XT4 Premium Luxury with the larger rims, AKG sound system, comfort & convenience package, sunroof, etc at my dealer!!
Love the comment about the screens just looking like an afterthought in most vehicles.. some of Stallantis did good jobs of incorporating in SOME of there u.s. vehicles .. Another thing that is a COMPLETE TURN OFF to me are SUBSCRIPTIONS…. Once I pay for a vehicle I’m not expecting to be PAYING for services or devices in any vehicle continuously.. especially being a cash buyer !
I agree 100% with you about the way EVERYBODY is "plopping" the screen onto the dash . . it's the worse part about any of the vehicles that have it. It looks like something they would put in a Vega or Pinta if the were being made in 2024. ( good thing they AREN't LOL ) I'd keep the SUV I have just so I don't have to look at it. The 2024 CT5 "V" has a real nice digital cluster in a "pod" right in front of the driver with many choices to choose from to display the actual gauges - a perfect cluster for ALL Cadillacs in my opinion.
I am very tempted to put a brush guard roof rack on this and black it out

It would be nice if the “sport” version of any vehicle had more power and better handling but that usually is not the case.
100 % agree with the screen mounting methods of some of these car manufacturers. Make the vehicle look cheap and almost like an afterthought. I like the look of this but worry about the reliability of Cadillac in general. In my opinion best looking in its class interior and exterior.

Excellent channel I like how you give credit where credit is due Cadillac is doing a fantastic job with their cars and suv's. I have owned many cadillacs and all have been GREAT cars. So thank you for not giving the non American cars all the credit and making the American cars not good.
Why is premium fuel recommended?
I like this car a lot as configured in this and other early reviews I've watched … I have to say I'm deeply disappointed in the single, Turbo 4-cylinder powerplant offering. If they had made this available with their twin turbo 3.0 L V6 I think I'd have to choose this as my next vehicle.
Would be awesome if they made a V sport version in the XT4!

I've always wanted to get a Cadillac but I've been told by people that the fuel efficiency is terrible and it eats gas like crazy. Is that true?
First let me say you did a great review and I really like the exterior of the xt4. My personal gripes- Can Cadillac spend a few more $ and give us a leather steering wheel horn cover? The plastic cover looks pretty cheap. I don’t understand paddle shifters on an suv. I have yet to see anyone using them and pretty much think that’s a worthless item. Blue stitching on an all black vehicle with white interior looks horrible IMO. But my biggest dislike is that blue design on the dash, looks like they couldn’t figure out what to put there so they threw on that silly looking design. I saw it at the dealer and that really turned me off. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though. Finally, I would like to see some of the aesthetic features of the Cadillac Asian GT4 vehicle be incorporated on the XT4. The quad tailpipes would look great.
Quad tips would look sweet.. And I agree with the leather horn cover.. BUT, I do like the blue
The interior design has improved a lot over the outgoing car, but that GM 2.0L turbo just simply sounds rough when you start it, never mind when you start pushing it hard. Also, the pricing is...optimistic, especially when you get rivals like the BMW X1, Volvo XC40 and Audi Q3 which are just so darn good overall in the details.
The X1 and Q3 is a much better car than this XT4 Lemon.. believe me
@@hemidesignyea, the Q3 with the 2.0 turbo with extremely well documented engine oil consumption issues and the X3 rated among the worst for reliability from consumer reports Are definitely a better choice for 10k+ more than the tried and true GM LSY engine…believe me (you don’t know what your talking about)
If GM can prove this is a really good car, I'll buy next year, MY WORD.. because the previous XT4 version sucks with unlimited problems including transmission failure at 40k miles@@fox9054

Previous models didn't do too good in crash tests, in some they were rated average and in others poor. Lets see how this one will do.
Cadillac Interiors need a complete redesign IMO. The curved Dash isn't enough.
I agree. I also think they need to redesign the XT5 exterior.
This is their old interior design and just a refresh. Y’all must never seen the Lyriq’s interior or Escalade _IQ._

Agreed. All manufactures could (and should!) do a better job of integrating the screens
Also I do think we need to all start to writing into Cadillac because I am not ready for a electric car or suv.
1st for the environment I don't think they are going to be as environmental good as people think the batteries are lethal to the environment because they don't know how to dispose of them. Also living in AZ my electric bills are huge already lol so I don't think Cadillac should go all electric. They should give options.
I also believe that the CT6 should be sold here in the USA not just China Also now hearing the XT5.

Recommended is probably for max power and efficiency - but it doesn't mean to have to use premium

I have 68k km on a 2021 with zero issues.
Loving the free service, filters, tire rotation and oil changes with a complimentary car wash to 80K.

as “85/100 - Great”
Gm is good for the bling work,...plop one grill of plop on another take the same engine they plop in there other chevy, add some blkout, some gloss , leather and presto u have a lux vehicle..lol they will never get serious to compete

We just traded a grand Cherokee in for it. Better on fuel same options $25k cheaper. Fingers crossed. Jeeps air suspension after 5 years started acting up and parts are hard to get. Gave up

Is this realy a Cadillacs ! For 53k and every thing is a optional package , TOO Many dam packages . Looks like I will get the Chev RS Traverse.
As long as you get it with those wheels, otherwise, it ends up looking very GM entry-level without. GM still doesn't understand the significance of nice big wheels to make a car look more premium. They just don't care.
What i dont get is why premium when its the same engine thats in the buick and the gmc n they dont take premium ig they just want people too think its fancy 😂
BMW uses the same 2.0 liter engine in their MINI
Lexus uses the same 3.5 engine in their cars that is used in a Camry or Tacoma
Audi uses the same 2.0 liter engine in almost ALL of their models that VW uses
Lets not even get into the crap that Lincoln uses from Ford. All Ford's ecoboost engines are under federal investigation for early engine failures like in the new Bronco.
Do better research.
Pointing out the obvious features/points is not really useful as it assumes we have no concept of modern vehicles. It takes up a great deal of time and doesn't add to the presentation.

I disagree. I think this video is very well put together and there are more people not coming from modern cars than you think. Doing an in depth video will appeal to the majority of viewers and it is appreciated.

Is it worth the money? My biggest pet peeve with cadillac is you go up to sport trim and are told they give you everything in that trim well thats bull shit. You dont get the heads up display as that requires a seperate package. You dont get backup sensors and 360 as that requires a seperate package. These assholes are charging basically $55,000 canadian just to get the top trim + tax is about 62,000 and they exclude 2 packags from it. No i wont play that game. There are better products out there for far less that dont do this package game crap
It's good value when fully loaded, otherwise it's a bit overpriced
