That guy could’ve sold that thing on market place for $3k in 1 day easily. I wonder how much the sellers make for appearing on the show and if it was enough to get over $3k total.
Harley made 2 models, in 2 engine sizes. 50 cc, and 65cc. The other model was a sport. It was fashioned like a regular motorcycle, and this moped like model. I owned the sport model 50cc. My first motorcycle. The sport looked like a cafe racer. Loved that bike.
I had a 1965 M50 back in the eighties. I wish I still had it.

My ex complained about my 57 Chevy once..I went out and bought a 53' hudson hornet twin H, a 43' 1/2 ton cab over pick up truck, a 49' cab over ford tow truck, a 37' Plymouth sedan, a 37' dodge brothers school bus. A 29' Nash special 6 sedan, Traded in my road king for a custom chopper..spent more time in my shop than ever before..
She never complained about my stuff again.

Tbh harley should probably do something like this again, fun, small cheap little runabout for the younger crowd that you don't have to buy into the harley hells angels stereotype to ride, it'd bring them back into relevance with young people and maybe even get them hooked on the real harleys when they get a bit older, bit more stable, more money for toys yk. Itd be like seed corn

I have a long term girlfriend. After about 3 years, she started trying to get me to get rid of my toys. Straight up said "that's not gunna happen". So she said "what are you gonna do with all this extra stuff you don't use?". I said "one day I'll get around to it" so she got a little lippy and tried forcing me to get rid of it. I said the day you start exercising is the day I'll consider doing something with them. Long story short... She's in great shape now, and I still have my toys.
You got screwed, any decent Harley collector would have given you more. It is part of their history.

He probably didn’t want to wait for the right buyer, he didn’t get screwed lol he got cash on the spot, it could of taken him months just to sell it, he wanted it gone right away, anyways it’s a pawn shop so you can’t expect a big value in the first place.

I'll tell you, I agree with a lot of the comments about the guy doing his wife's bidding, but, sometimes, if she is a good person, and there are some, companionship is desired by many, and it's better than being alone, and possibly being old and dying alone. A little giving isn't that such of a hard thing. Plus, the bike isn't all that great.
Better yet, find a mate that is into the same things you are, and there usually isn't a need to compromise - well not on some of the things you both might be interested in.
I can't imagine my wife telling me to get rid of anything. Of course I'm sitting outside with my cigar and whiskey instead of inside in front of the TV so I guess I'm a little whipped.

That's a cool and quirky bike, I'm sure a collector would be dying to have that, it's basically a 'Harley Moped' and would be great fun nipping around in once it has been fully restored.
I have a friend in Point Roberts who has one. Great little bike for a quick run to the market or liquor store there. People think it's not a real Harley but a "tricked out" Japanese moped - once they understand that it is a real Harley crowds gather!
Fully restored is bad when they look that good in original condition. If my Italian bikes looked like that I would ride proud

It looks like it is not to bad of shape and I would just spend money getting it running. Original finish looks good. Seems kind of rare to find one with a step through frame like that. Would be happy to have that in my collection.
