Picked up crochet very spontaneously (and I barely commit to anything 😅) and now my entire winter closet is pretty much handmade crochet sweaters. They are so warm, cheaper, eco friendly, I wish more people took up crochet as a hobby!

Frogging, it means ripping out your stitches. You rip-it (sounds like ribbit which is the sound a frog makes). Someone may have mentioned it already but I have not read comments yet and wanted to share. I LOVE your sunflower turtle! Too dang cute! As for your sweater…if you find itis taking too long and you need some instant gratification, as you can crochet up a little plushie for the quick finished buzz before going back to the sweater. I personally do this with clothing and blankets that seem to take forever and it helps keep the interest.

Yes! I plan on making a vid like that in the future🥰 its all about your tension and hook size! I struggled with this for awhile too, sometimes sizing down your hook can help make your stitches tighter too!

Hi Genna, another lovely video. I'm just wondering, since your shop is pretty much exclusively made to order instead of having pre-made stock, how much turnaround time do you typically communicate with your customers when they make a request? I'm thinking like with that massive order you talked about in the video, I image that would take a while to do since you're only one person with two hands and a life outside of crochet. Though maybe that's just my inexperience showing because it takes me several hours to create one of those little yarn squares haha (first project, not sure what they're really called). Hello! :) first off thank you so so much!! I usually set my turnaround on each listing as 1-2 weeks - but I also usually follow up with each customer via message and confirm with them if the delivery timeframe works for them. The super large order was actually communicated over Instagram and I let them know it probably won’t be done until around June, which they were cool with :) It’s definitely hard to juggle multiple plushie orders at once though and think I should have closed down my shop if I exceeded a certain number, just to not stress myself out about getting everything done on time😂

Do you have your own pattern for the Sunflower turtle? I have a pattern but the shell doesn't turn out as large as yours. The pattern I have the sunflower sort of sits on top of the shell but your tutrle the whole shell is the sunflower. so pretty!

With the sunflower turtles where do u start the petals near the head or the tail? Do u add the petals before or after the head is sowed on?
I typically add the petals before the head is sewn on!! And I start my petals at the first stitch of the round!

Hi new sub and crochet newbie here! I am trying to crochet a giant pickle but I’m not sure how to increase evenly? This will be my first time attempting something with no pattern. Do you have any tips for evenly increasing rounds? Should I start with 6 SC in a magic circle? Maybe 12?
Aww thank you and welcome!!❤️ Honestly, I am such a pattern follower haha especially for my complex items like a pickle. I know the pickle pattern I use has the first few rounds being 6 SC in a MR, (1 sc, inc)x6, (2 sc, inc)x6…etc so maybe try 6 SC in MR!
How do u make the amigurigami ? (Ok bad spelling lol) so big? Do they have patterns for that large example the BEE or you self enlarged it yourself?
I just size up the hook size and yarn size to make them super big :)
I checked out rose and Lily's pattern for this sunflower turtle hers doesn't have petals all the way around how do you add your petals
I just added one more round! So where they stop, just repeat the step for the petal once more to complete it🥰
I'm to lazy to fix it when I have the wrong number of stiches and my plushies always turn out so bad😅
if you scent it with catnip, shay will go crazy over it.
