Hi Genna! I'm a somewhat new subscriber and amigurumi crocheter! I really got into it because my favorite animal is a turtle, and yours are so cute! I went to a local market and bought a handful of crocheted critters from 2 different vendors. After that I decided I needed to make my own or I'd spend all my money on turtles! lol. Anyway, I love seeing what you make, they are all so cute. I just recently bought the Juicy Couture yarn myself but haven't used it. It's good to know that you liked working with it.

I really like the land turtles head & neck, like u said perfect for a desk or shelf. On the sunflower land turtle, I love the big sunflower petals, like the real flower, bigger feet would also balance it, just my opinion.

Love the fluffy turtle look! Also I bought some juicy couture from Joann’s last week! They had them in sparkle and regular so I bought the regular in green. I’ve been looking for a more olive shade in velvet and was so thrilled to see it. I think both frogs and turtles would look really good with it. I May go back for other colors like you 😂

You are brand new to me as of this morning (8/21) and I love your channel! I am 75 and just recently learned to crochet. I can do simple scarves and granny square throws....small ones that I call 'snugglies' (anything over 40"ish by 45"ish and I'm done). Can't figure our hats or plushies yet even though I watch super simple vids, just can't seem to get the right st in the right place but someday!! I love your plushies. Amazing job on the fluffy turtle! I just started crocheting and I am attempting to make one of your turtles but this plush yard has been a little difficult for me because I can't see the stitches! But I'm determined so I am continuing to practice!
I am a beginner and just started using plush yarn as well and agree it’s very hard to see. I use my fingers and pinch around the plush and it helps so much. I pinch to find the stitch.
For the Mallards I like the parfait chunky better. I think the velvet with the sheen on it throws off the colors.

For your baby velvet turtle do you double up the strand or just use one strand. I have some Bernat baby velvet and was disappointed that it was thinner than Bernat velvet.
