thats because you probably store yours correctly and dont expose them to air handling them with pvc gloves. Stick them in a capsule and leave them there, even then it might still spot because its a bullion coin finished to the royal mints LOWEST standard. If your a coin collector rather than a stacker then opt for the more expencive proof finish coins which are struck to the highest possible quality, never remove the coin from its capsule and store it in a stable environment (not in the attic or basement where temp and humidity levels fluctuate)
The Great Britain Silver Britannia Coin is a beautiful and valuable addition to any silver stacking collection, with its intricate design and high-quality craftsmanship.
I’m personally buying the ‘23 silver maples with the Queen on them. I bought Britannias last year and they even sent a box of cereal with them, I’m not lactose intolerant but I don’t like my silver to have cow juice on them. Beautiful design though.
I just uploaded a video of 3+ lbs of silver added to the stack and 40 Oz's being the Type 1 and 2 2023 Britannias and almost all of them are just COVERED with milk spots. I have more Britannias than anything else because of the lowest premium sovereign but I'm so done with the Britannias after seeing these.
Wow I have 33 with 3 kings and no free milk yet??? Guess it is worse than I have personally seen…..Seen some bad Phil’s to and even Krugerrands and Roos.. so far been lucky
I picked up a tube of Type 1's (Liz) and a Tube of Type 2's (Chuck). I believe it was these tubes that got me over 2000 Toz. I would buy them even if I wasn't a Brit and got huge tax advantages. Oz for Oz they offer the best value for money due to their security features. Quite frankly, when it comes to Gold - if you're buying anything other than Britannias or Maples and you don't have access to a metalitics machine you should be travelling on the short bus. I buy Gold Sovereigns, but I have access to a metal tester. If I didn't I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
I do keep them all the same year in the tubes with only one exception, American Silver Eagles as I buy the Random Date ASE coins that are usually $1 cheaper each.
i hadn’t heard that. so instead of 500,000 of just the queen, they are going to do 300,000 with the queen and then 300,000 with the king in 2023? i’ll have to keep my eye out for the king ones
Grrrrrr Me angry. I have 15 of each year of the Kooks since 1990. I already have my year supply of 2023's. I have to buy another 15 x 2023's to complete the sets. G Damn it.
Great looking coin friend. I only have a couple of the older ones, no pad lock. Great job toward your goal. Just found you and subscribed. Keep posting and Keeep Stackin!!!!!!!!!
Those Brittanias are a great design, I got some 2022s with E2 and Charles. If you don't have a 10oz Silver Brittania bar, they are beautiful and top notch. I am waiting on the 2022 Sovereign, almost 1/4 oz Gold, and a great design.
@@floridastacker It was a question! Ahaha it is Ironic but do you think these being the last year the Britannia's will be made with her on will add to their future value. I am very new to this currently at 12 ounces of silver
Stacking silver can be a great way to save money and invest in a tangible asset that has historically held its value over time. It's also a fun hobby that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us all. I hope to start my collection soon. Would the Canadian coin not be more accepted here in the USA? How much does milkspotting devalue the coins?
Milk spotting is more of an impact on collectible coins vice bullion (think for stacking/investing purposes). If I were just starting out, I'd focus on the Canadian Maples, 2018 and newer and after i finish a tube of those buy a couple other coins, feel them out, see what you want to go for next. Just a thought.
@@floridastackercrypto4574 Thank you very much for taking the time and making the effort to reply. I was thinking of Maples first, too. Take care and all the best
@@Simon_Hawkshaw Maples are slightly more expensive than Britannias. Also you are right that Maples were better known and recognized a few years back. But the last figures I saw from the Royal Mint is that year on year US sales per year last 3 years are up north of 90%. Sure, if you live in Minot ND or Bonners Ferry ID or Detroit MI then Canadian are probably more recognized. But other than that it's now about the same. I'm not critiquing the RCM - they do lovely coins - especially their 2oz and animal coins. But I don't think there is a difference these days between the RM and RCM in terms of LCS's recognizing them other than the above when you could chuck a rock and hit Canada with it.
@@Simon_Hawkshaw Oh and I'll tell you what are relatively cheap and Canadian - CAD pre 67 $1 Canoes in 80% Silver. Lovely coins - especially when they went off piste with the 67 Goose, the 39 Parliament, 47 Newfie and the Totem Pole dollars. Also the math on them is easy - each one 0.6 Toz so 5 of them is 3oz of silver.
I use generic American Silver Tubes as the coins share the same dimensions. I don't put them in the Green Top Medallion Tubes to avoid confusion with my ASEs I use the same tubes for the Libertad as I do the Kangaroo, just a generic white ASE tube. I label them with the little dot stickers that come in various colors to keep them easy to locate when looking down into the Monster Box
@florida stacker Got a professional question for ya... Just got a good steady job again and gotta start over on my stacking. What 1oz coins, and what 10oz bars should I go with? With lowest premium but good resale when the time comes. I really don't wanna go after ASE because the premium is so high. But the ASE has a good 2 to 3 dollar over spot resale 99% of the time. This is what I was thinking about for 1oz - Canadian Maples, South African Krugerrand, Australian Kangaroo, Asahi silver coins and bars. This is all silver. As for 10oz bar I was looking at Canadian Mint 10oz and Sunshine Mint 10oz, I like Scottsdale 10oz stacker but the premium is where I would never get close to what I pay for them. Anyways, your advice is welcome and appreciated so I go the right way for stacking. Willing to spend around 500 every two weeks to build fast and then trickle down to 250 every two weeks.
Hey! Give your local coin shop or two a call, ask them what they are paying to buy these items. Take that Information and plug it into a spreadsheet or write it down. Next look at prices to buy what you are considering and you will see the real premiums. Buy the low premium items others buy so they are easy to sell.
Milk spots are an unfortunate possibility with UK Silver products. Some have them, some don't. You can get a lot, or not many. Great designs, but the spots can be very discouraging.
it's really hit or miss isn't it? Sometimes i get lucky, other times not so much. I try to bring up the issue with so many new Stackers watching my videos lately so that new buyers stay informed. Thanks for commenting!
God im sick of hearing people moaning about milk spots, you are handling bullion coins made from one of the most reactive metals on the planet exposed to the air, not even in capsuals then you wonder why they milk spot? Are you guys over the pond coin collectors or stackers? You should really consider buying the proof finish coins and leave them in their capsuals if you dont want to see a milk spot. A real stacker does not care for milk spots, its actually a natural security feature. The stacking game is to buy a close to spot as possible which is what the britannia offers better than the Eagles, with far better security features. For those crying about milk spots on their bullion coins that have been exposed to air and handled with pvc gloves, all you need is a Goddards silver polish cloth and all your tears will disappear with a single wipe.
@@floridastacker your a coin collector if your worried about milk spots plain and simple, and collecting bullion coin which is retarded for coin collecting. Bullion coins are poor quality for a reason, so they can be sold as close to spot as possible.
I got a mint tube of 25 Queens and then a second mint tube with 8 mixed Queens and Kings.. cool coin
I remember that Britainia video and thinking how stunning that Gold coin looked.

Congrats on finishing that tube, a beautiful coin for sure. Just finished my tube of the Type 1 and will be stacking the Type 2's with ya!
Probably buy my first King Charles Britannia in May. Still have to knock out the Krugs, Eagles ($$) and Roo's. Getting close! 100 more ounces baby!
That’s a good goal to have both a tube of QE2 and King Charles Britannias for 2023.
I figured why not! Bit of history at the same time.
I just copped a 2020 brittannia, I love the security features on the later issues, so I'll probably get more soon ! Great video.
Much thanks! They are great coins.

If you live outside the UK they can be a good buy. In the UK , no way because of the 20% VAT liability that goes with buying them.
Do you also separate the years in the tubes?
If I have enough for a full tube of one specific coin for sure..
