Let us not forget the special real estate rates given in the eighties which encouraged and directed black flight from inner city to south Jackson where the new residents made such a positive change....

If you are curious about the decline in Jackson just take a look at the demographics over the past 40 years. If you need more insite into city declines look 200 miles north to Memphis.

Ah yes, let’s blame Blacks for deindustrialization of jobs being shipped overseas, political polarization, bad economic base because agriculture doesn’t pay well, anti education state government which conservative politicians slash education budgets and blame liberals, the tax that doesn’t go to city services, state politicians who won’t fix anything because the city is majority black, no commuter tax, generations of white supremacy and segregation, a state government that does not allocate and pass down funds fairy, and demonization of the working class

@@brycelynch2306 The state of Mississippi is red, the city of Jackson is blue. Tennessee is a red state but memphis is a blue city. Jackson and memphis are possibly the worst cities in the south. Both controlled by Democrats.

What’s rascist about it? It’s one of the most dangerous cities to live in. It’s not because blacks are more prone to commit crime, it’s more due to the democrats trying to destroy the nuclear family. You keep electing dems in charge

Mississippi is a blue state but Jackson is BLOOD RED 228 murders in 2019 . Some parts of the City the potholes are so bad. It looks like you’re driving on the surface of the moon. I live in a neighboring county and I try not to go into the city. It’s just too dangerous. There are many hoods in Jackson.. 70% of the population are people who live in those hoods. And the city administration are people who come from the hoods. It makes me wonder if they still the money that supposed to fix the roads the two counties that neighbor Hines county which Jackson is in are the third and the second richest of the 82 counties in Mississippi, and they are very nice. Businesses have fled Jackson and located in these two counties. You should see how beautiful they are if you look up the city administration of Jackson, you can see the type of people who are running the city into the ground.
