These are great Late Night Movies, when you're tucked in bed. ❤
Like tonight when it’s going down to the teens here.
Dressed to Kill is a 1946 American mystery film directed by Roy William Neill. Released by Universal Pictures, it is the last of fourteen films starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Doctor Watson.
It is also known by the alternative titles Prelude to Murder (working title) and Sherlock Holmes and...wait for it
The Secret Code in the United Kingdom. 😳😋
You're welcome 😉
Time stamp 0:39 clearly states the movie title is Dressed To Kill. Bunch of amateurs with their silly, irritating popups every few minutes!
@Watchyn_Yarwood Yes, and if you had watched the film in the UK it would of shone the other title lol Not rocket science. Many films have different titles in different countries. 😉
I love these old movies. Especially those in black and white💕
Me too, Sue.
Great films that remind me from where we came. The sound tracks are captivating.
Love these old black and white films. Just pointing out, the Roman Numerals date the film to 1946. (MCMXLVI). Thank you, I've binged in the last day or two, and became a new subscriber too. Watching in UK - The Secret Code.
Patricia Morison, the lady playing the villainess, lived until 102 and died only a few years ago.
Make that 103!
@8176morgan you are absolutely right. Thanks for the heads up.
She was a beauty
She was beautiful. Just think what Ms Irene Adler must have looked like.
The name of this movie is NOT “The Secret Code”. The actual title is “Dressed to Kill”. Why are you making up names for these classic films?
..even says it at the beginning..
The Secret code was the name it was released as in the UK
Oh I love this one. And my favorite Holmes and Watson too ❤
Dressed to Kill means NOTHING, it is generic marketing Universal made up to sell their last Holmes movie, with a story the studio created.
So we click on to it thinking it's one we haven't seen . UA-cam is full of these.
Frank Skinner's classic theme used in all the Universal Holmes' films.
The title is correct…. if you’re in the UK , that was the title of the movie when released in England
Time stamp 0:39 clearly states the movie title is Dressed To Kill. Bunch of amateurs with their silly, irritating popups every few minutes!
Correct, but the date is wrong. 1942 was The Secret Weapon.
Why are you showing this in the wrong aspect ratio? This is not a wide-screen movie.
The film says movie name is Dressed to Kill….. title name of this video is The Secret Code. Are they one and the same? 🤔
Time stamp 0:39 clearly states the movie title is Dressed To Kill. Bunch of amateurs with their silly, irritating popups every few minutes!
Yes, but the date is incorrect... it was released in May of 1946 in NYC.... not 1942 which was "The Secret Weapon."
Does anyone know where you can find the Adventures of Sherlock movie (1939) free on UA-cam?
I've been looking for that too
There all free on UA-cam just type in Sherlock Holmes movies
I like this.
I can’t with the prison uniforms😅😅😅😅
Great old movie! Thank you for presenting it to us! I love Sherlock Holmes! However, I find your incessant little animated popups on screen to be distracting, irritating, juvenile and amateurish. We know what channel we are watching these movies on and don't need to be needlessly reminded throughout the presentation. If you are afraid of someone copying your work, put a watermark in a non-intrusive area of the screen. If we are enjoying your movies, we will be subscribing and watching for new releases without you reminding us every few minutes. Please practice professionalism. And yes, I am a subscriber and I have a tab in my browser directed to UA-cam feed subscriptions and it's set to auto reload every 5 minutes so I get almost instant notification of a new release on your channel. Thank you.
I prefer the Sherlock Holmes stories set in the time period of the original author.
Another great example of the Mandela effect with the heart on the left side now the heart is on the right side in 2024
WHATS UP WATSON ??
Calm down guys he’s got the name wrong but it’s an absolute classic
🤣 good advice
No... he got the year wrong. Decscription should have read "Sherlock Holmes: Dressed to Kill (1946) - Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Code in the UK." He confused the year with "The Secret Weapon (1942)."
My question is, why didn't Holmes just destroy the music box after having deciphered it's message?
Time stamp 0:39 clearly states the movie title is Dressed To Kill. Bunch of amateurs with their silly, irritating popups every few minutes!
You’ll have to ask Doyle that question, but I’m afraid he’s not around anymore
@@stanmans Oh, no! When did that happen?
If you want people to watch your videos, you better get the names of the movies correct. This is. DRESSED TO KILL. WHERE DID YOU COME UP WITH THE TITLE YOU ARE TOUTING?
38:34
Wrong title
"Sherlock Holmes: Dressed to Kill (1946) - Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Code in the UK."
One minute in and a feckin' ad pops up. FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pay UA-cam it will be ad free
@@cecildison6788 I don't need to now; I had the full set for Christmas. Thanks anyway.
I agree with steveball. Why are you making up names for these films?
If you can't get the name of the film right, how am I supposed to like and support your channel. Just another amateurish channel.

@@Watchyn_Yarwood the watermark is usually placed by someone who has paid for the movie (or product), to keep the many thieves on UA-cam from copying the movie, not paying...and making money using someone else's money and hard work
This is Dressed to Kill. Not the Secret Code.
"Sherlock Holmes: Dressed to Kill (1946) - Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Code in the UK."
Hindi me honi chahiye
This is not the secret code
