    I cooked this and it was exactly the katsudon taste I was craving! No need to order take out anymore! Now I can cook it myself any time I want

    A simpler coating is: egg + water + cake flour for 1st coating, panko breading for the 2nd. Made my life easier and less hugasan. Got this trick from a Japanese UA-camr.

      Simpol, I added grated ginger sa sauce, and little sesame oil (kung mayrron lng), mas enhanced po lasa ng sauce. Baka gusto nyo try.

    i like the practicality of this channel, like that rolling pin used for pounding, I used my mortar....some of my friends, really buy that mallet, then whine dont use it much anyway...

    I tried to cook using the same technique and process. NAPAKASARAP!!!! NAPAKADALI!!! Next time, I will try to use Japanese Rice with Rice Vinegar.. heehehe.. Thanks Chef!

    Looks delicious! This is one of my favorite dishes. Couple of tips from someone who's watched many, many katsudon videos: 1) water works fine for the sauce, but dashi packets/powders are easy to find these days and will give more umami flavor to the sauce, and more complexity than just soy flavor; 2) many chefs will pour additional eggs over the cutlet close to the end, which helps bind the cutlet and egg and onion into a single item which then slides easily onto the rice.
