      Yeah I think with the changes its really solid now. Especially with its quick fix button to deal with most issues.

      🤣 There are different options on what type of wear/damage you want. I think the ones that have chips out of the centre as I use it for wargaming so they would get chips there but there are other options that wont do that.

    Emotional one click damage!

    I tried the Lite version. Once I apply the damage, and select several other blocks, selecting the damaged one last, the 'make damage' option doesn't appear....

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  4 місяці тому

      I'm not sure about the lite version as I don't have it I'm afraid. You might have to contact the creator to check with them.

      @@ArtisansofVaul have messaged the creator- I only commented as some one else may have had and solved the same issue!

    Impressive, but I didn't learn anything. I want to know how it works under the hood

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  9 місяців тому +1

      😅 I mean I didn't program it so I'm not sure. I think it's going to be a combination of remeshing, texture application and then decimating.... but that's a guess.

    I have and adore this one. Very rapid way of adding damage for sure! Of course, doing something like this in geometry nodes would offer more flexibility, but would be a pain to setup (assuming you know how to - I would be utterly lost and incapable with my current knowledge level in this area). So for people like me, this add-on is great. I do wish this would go a few steps further and emulate something like Blender's native Cell Fracture capabilities, but I suppose we can use one in conjunction with the other. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      I have a video on setting up some damage on the outer edges of blocks but it is admitedly a pain and a bit fiddely to get working on different sized objects: ua-cam.com/video/lSrG6mYgk5Q/v-deo.htmlsi=_aYlThrL1X90hani
      Id probably sculpt it otherwise and that would take a lot of time.

      @@ArtisansofVaul Nice additional video link! Thanks for sharing :) Yup, that could open up plenty of experimental possibilities for sure (and I appreciate you giving all the credit to the person you picked this up from - Kudos)!

    Does this work on spheres and irregular shapes?

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  4 місяці тому

      Ive seen it working on more complex shapes but its more reliable the simpler the shape in my experience.

    For my kind of work this will not work since it is more cartoonish than realistic, there is also erode it but not sure if it will do the job.

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  9 місяців тому +1

      I find erode even more cartoonish as it creates some really unnatural angles. If you want realistic you're going to need to sculpt it yourself I think as there just isn't a procedural way to create it. So it depends how you value your time over the "realistic" result.

      At some settings erode it seem better but i am tired to buy add-ons that don't fit my workflow so i guess i will go with sculpting everything.@@ArtisansofVaul

    I haven’t finished the video yet, but can this be inverted to make a texture roller?

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  9 місяців тому

      Oh for sure. That should totally be manageable.

    Does this work with wall factory bricks?

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  9 місяців тому

      Totally. Well you need to separate the bricks of the wall but that takes a second using separate and then by lose parts.
