Man, my respects for making this video. It sure took a lot of work and research. How long did it took to make a video like these??

Hi José, I'm glad you liked it. It took about 2 months to do all the research, grab the material (like the covers and stuff), record the gameplays and edit the video. :)

In case anyone is wanting to skip to a specific letter in the alphabet, here you go.
Also, remember in this video that a game is always listed by its American title first (if it had a release there), then the European, then finally the Japanese.
So for instance, a Japanese game (regardless of its title) that saw an American or European release will always be listed under its American and/or European title in the alphabet FIRST. If a title was released in Europe and Japan (but not America) it will be listed under its European title FIRST. Only if a game was Japan exclusive will it use its own name and be listed in that spot in the alphabet.
The only exception to this seems to be if the game was planned for release in America or Europe but was then cancelled. In this case it will be listed by the name it used in the first country in which it saw release instead (but will show the name it would have gone by in the other countries as well).
Also, a game may not seem like it is listed here, but if the game has a person's name at the beginning of the title (for instance a sports star or the game's creator, it will likely be listed under that person's name and not the latter part of the title like you would expect).
    Amazing list BTW, VGL.

@leigh I love the original super Mario and teenage mutant ninja turtles but was never able to beat them….did you see the show that was based in Mario 2 or was that before your time? I can’t still hear the theme song in my head.

    • @leighdappa
      @leighdappa Рік тому

@cmrwrite: Yes, I loved that cartoon and it wasn't before my time, being born in 1981.
I, too, could never beat TMHT but back then, it was cool just having a game based on my favourite cartoon. (MMPR would soon take that spot)
I play Super Mario Bros. at least once a year and can easily complete it.

35:13 Chuugoku Janshi Story: Tonpuu is Chuugoku Senseijutsu and
35:23 Chuugoku Senseijutsu is Chuka Taisen.

I came here to see if anyone can help me find a game that I used to really like. It came on Polystation Cassette. *I don't remember the name.* It went something like this: The game is very colorful 8-bit, you have 3 eligible characters: a samurai (wearing white top and black pants), a cowboy (black hat with a gray line, black bread, white shirt and black vest) and a bandit. You have to walk the roofs and roofs of the buildings and from a certain point, you enter one of the buildings. And the first boss to appear was a Knight, one of those who wear medieval armor and used a mangual (a stick that has a spiked metal ball chained on it) And that's all I remember.

But I just been looking for two NES games that I never found in any video, and I was looking for them for years now!
I will describe both as you may recognize them so you could tell me their names:
1- A game where you where drawing an urban picture given that you only draw using not a brush or pen, but a fixed image of a brick, tree, cars or sidewalks.. And the game had something like a tutorial drawing a building in order to understand how to draw..
2- The second game is a puzzle game, a SLIDING puzzle game where it consisted of two levels of difficulty, one is that you can pick pieces of the full picture and replace it in order to form the required picture, the other level of difficulty is that the normal sliding puzzle, one of the levels where you were required to form a picture of a witch..
If you could recall these games from description, please tell me their names :)

Just an amazing, amazing video. Really gives you a sense of the vast array of video games released on the NES/Famicom. Things I noticed:
-Quite a lot of the Baseball games looked really similar to each other (as in having the same RPG-looking characters in it).
-If I had a nickel for any fortune-telling game on the NES/Famicom, I'd have about five nickels...which isn't a lot but still more than I would have expected.
-So many platformers/shmups on the Famicom that were never released or cancelled in the US/Europe
-Interesting that the last NES/Famicom game released was the Lion King in 1995 when I thought it was Wario's Woods before...I guess the latter was just the last North American NES release.
-I was confused at first why Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic and the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 were missing as well as Zelda II not having a release year in Japan...then I checked and I learned for the first time that those three games came out in Japan for the seperate Famicom Disk System and not the actual Famicom.
    Definitely awesome.

Same for me. I got those two games on a bootleg multicart along with a bunch of other Japan exclusives. Awesome stuff.

Thank you so much for this video. I've been looking up websites that say they have every game on file but could never find all the games I played as a kid but I went through this whole thing and couldn't believe it. All the memories. Thanks so much.
