Cut up plastic bag. They add it in the bags of aggressive species and eels.
@Dan do you stop the incoming water when treating a tank with medicine? Otherwise wouldn’t the medicine wash away very quickly?
Of course we do. Each tank has a valve which allows us to turn the water flow on or off and adjust the flow to individual tanks.

What are your thoughts on antibiotics resistant bacteria cultures?
Antibiotic use can definitely result in resistant strains. It is very common...especially meds are used incorrectly.

I am curious. Who would want an albino Kongo tetra when the normal Kongo tetras are so colorful and pretty?
People that like albino congo tetras? I know they are not for everyone, but its a big world with lots of folks with different tastes.
Did you happen to ask your in-house vet if there are any situations where using Melaleuca (tea tree) or Pimenta racemosa would be useful? These are the ingredients of 2 very popular "fix" products that many say do nothing at all.
Those never came up in any veterinary literature.

And this is why I can't recommend buying fish from you enough. All of the quarantine and prophylactic meds, and targeted meds, already done for you. Obviously quarantine is always a good idea regardless, but still, these fish are second to none in terms of quality and health.
Why do you need to mix the nitro and kanamycin in alcohol instead of just letting it dissolve in water?
to get it to dissolve better.
Because it is hydrophobic...the alcohol allows it to dissolve much more effectively.
