I really enjoyed this relaxed format. It was like getting to hang out with you and chat while you worked. I'm sorry you've been in a funk, but do admire you sharing that with your viewers. It's not only furniture painting that connects us, but also the ups and downs and how we can relate. Cute piece!
You are beautiful, with or without make-up! Love your voice, you are a great teacher, love to watch you, so sweet, so kind, so honest! Hope you enjoyed your break!
Loved this type of video watching you just play and talk as you go! Would love to see more like this!
I really like how the piece came out. I love that you experiment and just have fun. That's what it should be. I'd thought about doing it to make money, but really just doing it for myself and my family on the pieces I already own or have come across recently, that's plenty of fun for a 69 year old retired lady. haha
Welcome back!!! We all get burned out no matter how we make our Living...I am a retired Nurse and have been painting, decorating and renovating a home for the last two years. Covid put me in the stay home mode...BUT NOW ITS TIME TO GO BACK TO WORK ! and fun stuff will hv to wait.
Loved your advice and I think you’re totally right, if we do something and stressed about wether we make money off of it or not it’s not fun and just do it as a hubby and something you enjoy to do. really I appreciate your advice and it was not lame. 😍 thank you
It looks very cute! Glad to hear it brought you out of your funk. I am also not a stencil girl but I really like the look. Looking forward to watching you this year again 🙂
Hello Christina. I’ve always like the look of the bone inlay, it’s really pretty! I think you did an excellent job for your first time attempting this. Well done gurl!!👍🥰❤️
Welcome back! Thanks for answering my question! I liked this format, I felt like I was painting with a friend. Hoping your dreams come reality in 2022! 😘❤🥂
Welcome back! Excited to see what you share with us this year!
I love that you get bummed about wasting a makeup day 😂. I am 💯 the same way. This piece looks amazing though and truthfully we don’t care how you look, being authentic is awesome!
I really love how this piece turned out. The stencils are beautiful. Thanks for sharing! ❣
Enjoyed your video! Glad you are out of your funk and your bone inlay piece is adorable 😀 Always a pleasure to watch and I am looking forward to your next project. 😊
Happy New Year!
Glad to see you back.....Happy New Year!!!!! The piece turned out awesome...Love it!!!!! Great video.....
Love it! And I really enjoyed the Q&A you added in.
I love Wise Owl paint especially the enamel. Love the color. I also liked the casual talk and paint live format for a change. I appreciate you talking about burnout too. Glad you gave yourself a good break. Be kind to yourself! Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you! 😊
I didn't visualize what you were aiming for. It turned out really good. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm new and want to start flipping so I appreciate all the advice I can get. 🥰
Fellow flipper here! Thank you so much for sharing, this definitely gave me hope for the journey that I’m on currently. Hopefully I can grow a successful business in this industry one day too ❤️
Welcome back and Happy New Year! Love the way this turned out! I’m about to do a small table in a faux bone inlay too (also starting small). I bought another brand (another furniture artist did a huge buffet in this stencil and I bought the same one), which is similar and super cute and it came right before I found out Annie Sloan had this one. Oh well, I’ll use this one and probably buy the one by Annie for another time. This was so helpful to see you do, so thank you!!💜
I have been feeling the same way after taking a break for the holidays. Thank you for the honesty, it actually made me feel better to hear you express it. Your piece came out beautiful, as always. ☀️
Glad to see you back ! Missed your videos 😉😉😉
It’s really nice to have you back!
The results were just lovely!
I really like it I love the color it’s the same color we just had our house done in. The stencil looks hard to work with but, you did a good job. Nice to
See you back!
The white pop on the blue is really pretty! I did something similar on a yellow piece. Yours is much more beautiful!
Oh my gosh I just heard how you began doing this and now you have 331thousand subscribers. That is so cool. You went from a cubicle to teaching people how to redo furniture life is funny.
It’s a great question, and also a great answer. I thought it was only me. I have a project that has turned into one problem after another…. I’ve had a couple of days where I got nothing accomplished. Thanks for the admission that you’re not perfect and you get the odd inspiration block. That helps.
Love this. The white stencil against the dark blue color is beautiful.
I think it is so amazing - I will try it, and do a soft sand to soften the paint edges. It is so gorgeous!
Such great advice and I love your piece......very fun!
Love that blue. I use blue all thru my main floor and I’m getting ready to paint several pieces that color. So thanks now I know how they’ll look. I’m a recent subscriber and like your work.
Welcome back!
Beautiful! We get glass cut for the tops, makes a big difference and easy to dust!
Love this! It looks great!
Hi Christina. Welcome back . Yes we All get into a funk mine has been 2mnths 😩but I fractured my knee it’s gonna be a little while longer and now can’t wait to get back doing what I ❤️
Thank you for the video and it turned out GORGEOUS ❤️❤️ IT
The stencils look amazing!
Aside from your beautiful work I repeatedly couldn‘t help but notice… you look soooo good without makeup 😊
Very cute project. You look fine without make up! And.. I was a bit anxious about the painting over your nice floor without any dropcloth! I would have had paint all over it!
Happy New Year 🥳. Love this piece. I think I’ll try an even smaller one…maybe a box because I’m a bit intimidated. Great advice to play, because it is definitely how you learn. So great to see you again!!!
I once saw a post that some people like the buy thrifted jewelry boxes (since some look like small dressers) and practice styles on there. Kinda like a mini dresser, lol.
That is really cute and just perfect for that little piece.
LOVE THAT COLOR!!
Love the blue color! It turned out great.
Oh how beautiful. I did one very similar with the blue and white, i used kids glue stick to hold the stencil better for perfection. And i would never do another one either!!
That looks really good @Christina Muscari !! I think you didn't notice that you missed one little dot on the line part on the left front, but most people wouldn't even realize it! I think the color you chose looks really pretty!! I am wanting to start redoing furniture and I already have several pieces at home that I can use as practice. I'm excited! I'm just trying to figure out what my starter kit needs to be. I know that I need the basics.. and I'm going to invest in some type of really good heat source for my garage! I love your channel(s) and get so excited when you put out a new video! Thank you, Christina You really inspire me.💜❤
Oh I love this - I’m dying to try this stencil on something 😊
It’s so good seeing your smiling face again. That turned out really cute.
Ditto!
I still favor chalk/mineral paint. I really like the coverage. Your stencil work came out beautiful. It's tough getting back to a schedule after vacation. Your funk will fade away. Maybe watch a furniture flip video or two!!! Just kidding Christina! Nice to see you.🌷🌷
You were the first furniture artist I followed💕
Happy new year. Christina. Good to see you back (makeup or no makeup) with a paint brush in your hand.. the inlay is so elegant. Are you keeping it?
I loved this! I even liked it once you stripped it, but I'm a fan of distressed yellow furniture.
I totally understand why you wouldn't stencil a bigger piece. I stenciled my entire kitchen floor. It took about 16 hours - never again. 🤣. Your piece looks great, the imperfections is what makes it beautiful.
So happy your back! Love this piece 💕 So my husband bought be a surfprep sander for Christmas and now I’m hesitant on using it, the reason for this is because he bought me the air sander 🤪 Don’t get me wrong I’m totally in love with my Surfprep. When I was doing research for this everything that I found was about the electric sander. I’m so confused now on what’s the best. Anything would help!!!!!!
I appreciate seeing you out of your comfort zone. My issue with "all on one paints" is it still takes a lot of coats! Primer + 3 coats! And maybe a topcoat because I am not sure I trust their durability for a table top, or I don't like the matte feel. So the vote is still out for me.
So great!!!
It looked cute. I want to do 3 pieces. But maybe I’ll change my mind after the first. 😊
Super cute!!!
I enjoy painting furniture it relaxes me
I loved the last dresser you painted pale green.
Great job!
Cute! I'm going to try something similar.
There is a channel "Elisha English," and she uses make-up sponges and puts her paint on a paper plate. Just a thought. Her stencils have no bleeding underneath. Your piece is really cute.
I like to do tie-dyes.
I put a pretty heavy towel down to soak up extra dye.
Any kind of stencil will work. Sometimes smaller stencils will run. With a sponge just dab a little dye.
It adds depth to the original tie dye. If that makes sense.
I like'd to start doing what's called bokting (sp)
Using wax and dye. It's beautiful. I did one piece years ago.
I always think I'm going to do a quilt with the same process.
Lovely!!
Turned out great, I wonder if they make a gameboard stencil maybe a monopoly cocktail table top.
I've been following you for a year or so and I've learned much from you. I'd like to try the bone inlay, someday! My question is would you recommend WO enamel paint for a bathroom cabinet? I've never used it, always use chalk or silk. I need something durable. Thanks and have a blessed day 🌹
I find it difficult to stay motivated during the cold months. Everything is dark and takes forever to dry! I usually just try finding the perfect paint color when I am in a funk.
You look amazing without makeup! So don’t worry about it!
I loved it just sanded, yellow is trendy right now.
It's gorgeous
Great job,
The piece is quite interesting just sanded!
The piece looks great. I love the cling brushes. I bought my first one a few weeks ago. All in one paint seems intimidating, I’ve used it twice and think regular chalk paint is easier. I have only used silk, thinking of trying melange, which is current favorite due to their colors which are gorgeous. Thanks for the video. If it helps get you out of your funk-I have learned so much from your videos-
I just tried melange One & was easy to use! I like that I can get the colors in both mineral & One.
Did you wash the stencil off between using it.? Came out nice it was a lot of work but I love the end result
Is there an iridescent white to do as the bone, or shell inlay? I know the craft acrylic paint has one and its beautiful. Im going to try it.
That is beautiful,,it’s hand painted,,,,I would keep it and let it shine,,,
Can I just add grey latex paint to water based primer? I have a bunch of kilz. TY! Love your videos!
Like it. A Folk Art piece...it WOULD SELL!!!
Offload the stencil brush so its more dry for crisp stencil lines….great job!
Hi ,i just wanna ask something because i want to repaint my cabinet laminated, what kind of paint I will use it?thank you
Looks great. A few imperfections? So what---you did a great job.
Thank you!
so cute.
❤
I use a roller
Hi Christina - where did you find your sander with the hose and what does it cost about?
I love your painting techniques.
The link for my sander is in the description box below the video.
Hi love your piece- do you seal your paint/ piece at the end ??
I used an all in one paint with a built in topcoat for this piece so I did not apply topcoat.
Nice! Why don't you place the piece on 4 buckets or a table so that you don't have to be on the floor so much?
I think you done an awesome job! But I would have stopped with the stencil on the top!! 😊
Anytime you stencil, if you paint the main color on the stencil sheet first, let it dry then use your stencil color, you won’t have bleeding.
I was also wondering if she washes her stencil in between each application. I’ll have to try that idea of painting the color on the stencil first and letting it dry. Brilliant idea.
So how did you learn to spray paint
Have you ever used transfers and decoupage?
Yes I have! Search my channel and I have several videos where I use transfers and decoupage.
I noticed that you don’t wear gloves when you paint, and I rarely see you protect your floor from drips. I am a super messy painter :-) how do you keep everything so nice and neat?
LOL--that thought crossed my mind, too. I can't even touch up paint without getting paint on myself. How does she not have paint all over her overalls?
You don't need makeup. You're beautiful without it too!
I have missed you! Let's get busy!
Your beautiful without makeup actually should’ve left your makeup off and I have a little nightstand thank you for your ideas and talent , your mom will want it back ❤️
She did want it back! It’s in her family room right now.
🤗❤️
🙋🏻♀️🇧🇷🤗😜.
No drop cloth making me distracted!
Yes! It’s a beautiful floor and I would have it splotched over the place.
It is pretty...I would not have the patience.
Your stenciling is NOT CRISP because you are picking up too much paint and getting bleed through. Use a paper towel to dab your brush before you start stenciling every time you dip your brush. Pounce the brush and do several coats until you get the look you want.
Oh I think it came out great! Looks sweet, but really seems difficult to do stencils. Love the result!
