I love how interested Blue is in everything you do. He just looks so fascinated 😂 such a lovely nature. Also lucky you being able to work with Annie Sloan colours all the time now. You really can't beat her colours I love them all but they are so expensive here in NZ. Much more affordable when I was in the UK.
Really love the makeover and the knobs fit the style so perfectly 👏🏻👏🏻
I love your assistant!
Kacha it's BEAUTIFUL you always do such a fine job and I love the muted colors too. Thank you for sharing. Your videos are interesting and clear in a very positive way. Love and Peace
Lovely Dresser! I really like this one! That color wash you stumbled on was perfect! Looks amazing
Watched this one again! Cause my Sister has a full bedroom set in Queen Anne she wants me to makeover. I’m looking for ideas , Love this look! Your background music choice is my favorite, fun & relaxing!!
Absolutely excellent, excellent!!!
Love it. I love when you just go for it and it turns out so good
That was such a beautiful technique and I love your dog, so cute!
I’m always awed by your creative process. I couldn’t really see the red tones until you pointed it out, then it became obvious. I love the result and especially the touch the pulls added. Plus extra Blue screen time is a plus!
Thank you for showing that there are ways to correct an effect that you don’t like. Totally beautiful. New sub here.
I really love this piece also. You really transformed a very traditional chest of drawers into a beautiful modern piece
As always 🙏
I think it is so cool that you took a traditional piece and gave it an MCM twist. Very innovative.
Katcha I really love your videos, I thinks it even more amazing that you left the changes in.. As this happens a lot and really helps! Whitewash is actually one of my favourite techniques! Inspired as always ❤️
Excellent! I love your style!
Such an elegant look!
Gorgeous piece! Love it!
so creative and inspiring, thanks for sharing 😎
AWWWWW! And a kiss for your assistant!
Absolutely in love with your work 🥰
This came out beautiful great job!!
Lovely ! Did you try to create your own tinted wax by mixing the clear one with chalk paint ?
With your sense of color, I am curious of what you would choose. I would love to see it !
I love how your pooch just stares adoringly at you. 🥰
Great job on the dresser!!
So beautiful!
Hi 👋 Matilda, how are you doing?
You completely transformed that piece. Sometimes those red undertones can really get ya! Blue looks like a really big boy!
Wow. That's beautiful.
Loved it and glad to see a new design for the stencil. Wouldn’t have used those pulls tho , they didn’t go well with the rest of the piece. Would like to see you leave more wood showing and not as a whitewash but more like you did with the color you used here. You always do a great job.
❤gorgeous finished product
Love the Hardware!
Beautiful piece!
You are worrying on the exact piece I'm working on, but I'm doing the whole bedroom set. Awesome tutorial. Not sure if I can make it look as good as you, but I know I won't be able to do all the details you did. Too old for that. Just want to get good of the orangey color. I've had this set for 20 years and it needs help. Lol
If I hadn't seen the "before", I wouldn't have guessed what it used to look like. I love seeing outdated pieces refurbished to go with today's decor. Beautiful.
Just stunning!❤️
Very pretty
There are no mistakes, just happy accidents ~Bob Ross~ Love it Kacha and love your Kacha wall!!! 💖💖💖
Its fabulous!
Original and very beautyfull🥇🥇
Gorgeous !
Beautiful, as always, Kacha!!😍
Love it!
Hi 👋 Debbie, how are you doing?
"We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents." -Bob Ross 🎨
🌟 Your piece is a lovely example of a happy little accident. I love the technique you showed us, can’t wait to try it out. 🌟
I love that quote!
Love this!
Beautiful
This turned out beautiful! I really like this. Please help! What is the name of this 3D stencil?
Very nice update
Oi Kacha sempre muito lindo n 1000
Kacha, can you tell me the name of product rose that you used for closed the hole in the finiture? Thanks
Podrías subtitular en español?
and in a couple of years, she will post a video on how to convert that same dresser into something less dated.
Kacha I am from your country and a big fan would love to talk to you and teach me how to sell the furniture. Hvala zivijla!!!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Christmas
Love, love, love the piece. The hardware? Meh. I think the white gold stripe doesn't match the piece, but a bronze or dull silver would work. The piece, and what you've done, is fabulous.♥️
Agree with Linda regarding how fabulous the dresser is and the white gold hardware doesn’t match. So appreciate your showing your Subscribers how you work through problems. This was a great tutorial on the resolution options. Thanks so very much. I always learned when watching your videos.
Turned out beautifully.
For "too red" wood you can try a wash of greenish paint first, such as Versailles or olive. (being the opposite on the color wheel,, the green will cancel out the red.)
That's a fantastic tip! Thanks for sharing.
Those with a design education would know that.
Would it work for wood painted red?
@@creativegirl9710 Rosehaven Farm's useful tip is directed to those of us who don't have a design education. But thank you for stating the obvious.
This is a G O R G E O U S piece, Kacha!😍 Thank you for bringing us along with the challenge you ran into too. I’ve learned sooo much from you over the past few years.
You’re the very first furniture artist I found on UA-cam and inspired me to paint my very first piece, my dining room buffet (AS Louis Blue, Waverley Elephant, AS Clear and Dark Wax and sliver gilding wax for the hardware) back in 2017. I’d never painted anything (besides walls), not even just something small in a solid color. Since then, I’ve painted a LOT of different pieces, brands, techniques, etc, since then. And not just for my home and family, but turning into a small business too.
So showing us when something doesn’t go as planned is enormously helpful, at least for me😊. Finally got a Surf Prep Sanding System for my birthday too (it’s awesome).
Thx for all you do and sorry for the long comment.💜
That is wonderful! I hope you business continues to grow and flourish and I am here to cheer you on and any help you may need along the way!
The entire project was amazing, Kacha!!! Including the hardware which had your signature touch, “GOLD”. Much loves! 😘❤️
Sometimes our 'mistakes' are actually the most perfect guide to realise what we want.... I loved this piece, well done! U inspire me so much, my husband even bought me a sander for xmas 🤗
OOh thats so nice! Merry Xmas to you!
Awww sweet hubby. You got this. Post pics.
Happy accidents ❤️
I love your fearless attitude and boldness to try new and different looks. I begin watching each episode knowing you are going to do something amazing so I don’t know why I’m so surprised 😮 by the results. Pleasantly surprised!!!
Kasha you inspire me. When i was in college i was really broke. I was working 40hour/week + full time school. I was waitressing and couldnt make ends meet. To pay rent, I used to dumpster dive and refurbish furniture and sell on craigslist. I used to love it. Fast forward 20 years; working a corporate job, making 6 figures and miserable! I have been wanting to leave corporate and go back to dumpster diving (lol ) well maybe not dumpster diving more like thrift shops and garage sales) anyhow do want to leave office job and go back to refurbishing furniture.
I love your channel. Hope everyone on this thread has a blessed year.
One of my favorites from you! But PLEASE explain how you never get paint drips on your clothes and floor! It boggles my mind that you don't use a dropcloth and your clothes are perfection.
I think it's a couple things.
1. She takes her time.
2. She doesn't get very much paint on her brush at all.
Hope that helps ☺️
I’ve wondered that too.
I love it… I noticed I have a chest that matches that dresser. The same side details and legs. I just refinished it but now I must redo 😂 using that raised stencil. That is so elegant. Beautiful.
This is one of my favorite pieces of yours. It looks like Egyptian stone. I love it so much!!! ✌🏻❤️
I like how you show your process and mistakes. Looks beautiful
OUTSTANDING, it came out so good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hola Kacha, hermosos trabajos!!!Te pido si puedes activar los subtítulos en Español, es para interpretar mejor los pasos a seguir. Muchas Gracias!!Te envío saludos desde Argentina!!👏🙋😍
I always adore whatever you make. Thank you for staying true and showing your work. Love seeing your puppies again 🖖🏽🌈💕
Hi Kacha. I really love how you applied the raise stencil and then painted over it. I think it turned out gorgeous, and I love the look. You are so talented and creative, that when something isn’t to your satisfaction, you will turn around and create something even more beautiful. “Well done Kacha.”👍🤗🥰
You know, I'm not normally drawn to modern style, but I really like this! The combination of colors, stencils, techniques, etc. just made it a great piece. Certainly in a whole different universe than the original version! I'm continually impressed. 👏
It's like you've found yourself again and that comes out from the look of this piece: cosy and happy ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for sharing with us.
Just wow! That stencil is really amazing! I am repainting my furniture and getting such great ideas from you! Thank you for teaching me and making me grow as an artist!
That whitewash on the front turned out incredible. Looks like old stone to me somewhat! Great job!!
This came out beautifully! I love the design, maybe a different pull. But is stunning!😍
Yes I’m not a fan of the hardware but the dresser is gorgeous!
This is so pretty 💖 I love how you showed the whole process of figuring out what worked best on the top. It turned out Beautifully 💖💞💝
Very beautiful... I really like the design.. Can even go with a south western look too.
Love it!!!!
Me encanta todo lo que haves Kacha, eres una persona super creativa
Desde Houston , with love♥
LOVE the 3D stencil! Didn’t love the pulls but that’s just me and to be honest I can’t really think of what I would use so 🤷🏼♀️.
Brushed nickel, something linear.
I'm uneducated. Why do flippers paint parts of furniture where they haven't sanded and/or primed? Doesn't their paint scratch right off?
Search "Chalk Paint"
Wow from dull and blah. Oh did I mention ugly. To stunning. Your amazing girl😉
Big Panda Bear Hugs from a 68 yr old Grammy from Kirby, Texas, USA 🐼
This is a well-made piece of furniture. How would you do it for laminated furniture that is old fashioned?
Just love how it turned out. You give me inspiration to update my mom’s 65 year old cedar chest on legs!
Hola, es muy bonito, me encanta!. Es una pena que no se pueda oír ni leer en español😞.
Quizás alguien sabe una manera y me lo puede decir. Gracias
You did a wonderful job even though I like the original too. But those knobs are all wrong. Solid color maybe but not the line of gold. Sorry just being honest. They diminish your work...like the wrong earrings for the outfit.
Why not just use some textured paintable wall paper instead of all that sparkling? Easier to change out in the future if you don’t like it anymore.
I always use a damp cloth to wipe it off. It works so much better???
But it turned out Beautiful!!!❤
I thought it looked beautiful, and I thought Kacha is such a perfectionist! But, you were right. The cocoa and wax on top was just perfect.
Omg! I have this exact dresser! My parents bought it for me from a department store in Washington DC back in the late 80s. I had mine refinished and replaced the hardware. It looks great, and has held up beautifully for over 30 years.
You’ve made classic timeless piece to an on sale piece in hardware store, but it’s just my opinion. Well done on the work tho, nice video.
I’m impressed you don’t even have a drop cloth under the dresser. Well done!
Love the raised stenciling on this piece and the hardware is a perfect choice!!! I love it!!
Beautiful transformation! Love your dog!
Sand stuff down instead of always painting over. Looks good.
This may just be the look I've been looking for my master bedroom suite.
Blue is just so precious! He obviously loves you very much!!Dogs are just the best fur kids!
He’s a good boy!
Beautiful,,,,I love this piece,,that raised stencil really did change the whole style of it,,,,that is a look I really like,,,,
Wow this is beautiful!! I love it. Thank you for this video, you explain very well and your videos really show up close and different angles, easy to understand
Nice, but the drawer pulls....not your best choice. :)
Fabulous work! ❤ really like your new backdrop with your name on it.
Great piece..question..I noticed that you didn't sand the body of it before you stenciled, and painted. Will this have an affect on sticking on there? Will it come off? Just curious
Hi 👋 Getz, how are you doing?
Have you ever done an entire bedroom set? How can one go about redoing an entirely set to where it is unique and cohesive (somewhat matching) without being too much in one room? My set is solid cherry, 5 pieces in a small 14'x 16' bedroom.
Hi 👋 Mari, how are you doing?
That brown dresser looks just like my dresser, I don't know what to do with it
I think this piece look’s very interesting.well done
