Beautiful! Next time check out a stencil adhesive spray to the back of the stencil it’s amazing stuff! These are beautiful! Calculate your time and your hourly rate for a price. Sign and date the underside of each piece. 🙌🏻

Thank you! I actually did try an adhesive spray but it left behind a subtle sheen and texture that I didn't like. I know a lot of people use & recommend that technique, but I didn't like it.
I will certainly be using a similar method to figure out a price, I was just wondering what other markets are like & wanted to connect with my subscribers by asking them :)

Holly I Crack Up Every time with Your bloopers and the bleeps and Shoes and wind and Oh The Frogs and Hawk...
I SWEAR They WAIT For YOU to Entertain them ..Super hallarious...and I Absolutely LOVE the tables and I love the transparency too...keeping it Real is where it's at honey .. especially When most parts are fast forwarded. .I'm from Tucson Arizona and I'd price them around 225 ish .....silk paint is my go-to as I Love the Sheen and coverage ....I find the zibra Square brush is stiff enough and works amazingly on legs ..
Straight or turned with silk Line...🥰❣️👍

Really love it! I may try this technique. For pricing, it think they’d sell in my area for around $250. But make sure you calculate your hours, imho it’s better to wait for the right person who will pay you what you deserve for your time!

These turned out beautifully!! West coast central Florida, I’d say they might sell for $200 a set. I can’t paint in the wind, too much debris flying around to get in the paint. Have to be careful of painting furniture in the house too because of cat hairs flying around in the air!!! Now I know why people paint inside tents. Keep up the good work. You are doing great!!

Love these! I agree with Cottage Keeper - adhesive spray! Best results I have gotten is adhesive spray-clear coat with roller-light coat with roller-second light coat with roller-remove stencil (wash & dry it!) & touch up then allow to dry thoroughly. It is time-consuming & hard to make money on because of that but start with cost of materials then calculate time taken (excluding dry time) with your chosen hourly rate (e.g Stencil & paint $45, time 3 hours at $40p/h = $ 165. If you need to pull back on the price, do it a little at a time so you can test your market.
I live in a completely different market (New Zealand) where paint & materials cost a lot more (e.g. Dixie Belle 16oz is the equivalent of US$35), people are used to mass-produced, cheap furniture so it's very difficult to make a business out of it but mostly done for the joy of it & make back my costs plus a bit for pin money lol

I will be using a similar method to calculate my price. I just like knowing how different pieces do in different markets and locations. I find it very interesting! Thanks for your advice! :)

After many trial and error sort of experience i came to the conclusion that special stencil brushes with a minimal amount of paint and a stippling technique works best. It is time consuming but worth the labour

the tables ended up very nice. I had the same issue with a lot of bleed thru...and lots of touch ups needed to be done...but the end result was worth the many hours i invested on the design...

These are lovely! I'm in the UK and the upcycled furniture I see on FB doesn't command the same kind of price as it does in the US, but I have just moved back here form Denver and had to sell all our belongings. I would think about $150 would work, just pulling numbers out of the air... Maybe list for $175 and you have wiggle room? Hope it sells, I'd buy them :)

Nice job! I might have tested a light coat of walnut gel stain would back down the starkness of the white making the stencils look more like ivory.

Have you thought about using Aleene's Repositionable Tacky Spray Adhesive sprayed on one side of the stencil to prevent bleed and shifting? It’s recommended by Cutting Edge Stencils. I really liked the end result. Good job.

In nyc updated pieces in vintage stores are outrageously expensive. Like thousands. I have no idea who’s buying them. Sometimes I wonder if the stores all have special antiques or something because it’s really that expensive. Yet you can pick up a lot of free stuff on the street.

The problem with any kind of sponge is that, no matter how gentle you apply, you always sort of push the paint towards the surface, and that causes bleed through

Too much paint, in my opinion. I just watched Katie Scott use the make-up sponge and it came out pretty perfect. She used way less paint. But you’re right, it seems like you are not applying enough paint at first, but really you are. Nice job…
