Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.

Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

I love how Suleiman smiles when Mihrimah tells him she won't go with him. She is mini Hurrem, and Suleiman very much sees Hurrem in her and you can tell how much he loves that.

Mahidevran was a beloved and careful mother to Mustafa. Mustafa was the whole world for Mahidevran. All the things that Mahidevran did her whole life only for welfare of Mustafa and also for safe him.There was strong reason for Mahidevran to disrespect Suleyman because she loves Suleiman but what did Suleiman use Mahidevran and throw her in a lot of pain and sufferings for lifetime.
But Hurrem loves only her sons.She didn’t love Mihrimah because mihrimah was a girl.Even after birth of Mihrimah, Hurrem refuse to hold her and milking her. And later Hurrem forcefully marrying Mihrimah with Rustam for her sons.Mahidevran is better mom than Hurrem.

She spent her life trying to make sure her children would survive, together. Only tried separating them from Mustafa in order to keep them alive, knowing no matter what he said, Mustafa and his mother would kill them all. Hurrem even says herself in later episodes as Suleiman lays dying, she wished Mustafa was her son, so they wouldn't fight but be unified
When Hurrem heard Firuze is going, her facial expression is not angry but hurt, she really love Suleiman
If Mihrimah Sultan ruled the empire, it would be awesome. The whole world will bow down for her and the empire will be stronger than when the alcoholist ruled... we deserved Mihrimah Sultan, not the princes.

First of all, if you said that all because of the series, it’s okay. But the real Sultan Selim wasn’t an alcoholist during his ruling time. He drank alcohol in his years as a Shehzade. Later, he stopped drinking alcohol and was an effective Sultan. He also conquered Cyprus.
Well she went to wars and by her side was her father, as well she was like Ibrahim, making the plans and seeing for the best plant. She ruled as Valide Sultan after the death of Hurrem and during Suleiman's sultanate, during Selim’s sultanate and half of Murad’s sultanate until she died and she is considered the richest of all the sultanas since she had Hurrem, Rustem and Suleiman's treasure after they died

Finished this series last year and still couldn't believe that Meryem Uzerli (Hurrem) is just a year older than Pelin Karahan (Mirimah). The power of styling and makeup. 💅💅💅
True! Also, the physical structure of Meryem made it easier for the makeup team to make her look way older than Pelin. She was plump and tall whereas Pelin looked fairly petite and shorter, and thus, Meryem easily took over a commanding role of a mother.
Now, Meryem has slimmed down a lot. They both look the same age in real life.

During the ottoman empire's women empowerment..(starting from Hurrem to Turhan)...the Valide sultans and Haseki sultans ruled the throne and empire..but apart from the these Valide and Haseki sultans..the only woman who ruled the throne was Shazadi Mihirimah Sultan.. even she was the most powerful and popular and the richest princess of the long ottoman dynasty...in the series.. Mihirimah Sultan's character was highly valued like she was presented as very caring and loving sister and daughter...but I think she should have valued more...like they should have added the scenes of her advising her father on state matters, writing letters to other countries' kings and so on....
Mihirimah Sultan helped her father on state issues after her mother's demise ...next she helped her brother..and she was also in a respected position during her nephew's regime...
No wonder Mihrimmah became such a powerful woman after Hurrem's death.
Other sultan want to destroy Hurrem, but why they keep forgetting that she had 5 child and they will be there to protect their mom. And somemore Suleiman favourite are mehmet and mihirimah.
