I've been watching this channel for about a year and a half now and without it, I would never have gotten the respect for and understood the passion of European soccer (football). To see a channel that helped open my eyes to the different soccer cultures around the world come to hometown (Charleston) and talk about how much fun they had was a blast to watch. Mad love to everybody at COPA90 for their consistently amazing content.
I could not have said it better myself. I am from Atlanta and go to the university in the video and the smile I had on my face was something I'll never forget. thank you so much guys for embracing this city and showing your viewers how we get down in the south. both athletically and culturally
Been watching Copa90 since I was a little kid never would've thought they would come to Atlanta and see all we've got going on. Never would've imagined I'd see Eli in a Falcons Jersey.
As an Atlantan, with roots in Savannah and Charleston, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this video. This trip that you did avoids all touristy things and shows the real south, including 3 of the best cities you could possibly visit. You guys are great and we can't wait to have you back.
I reaaaally wish the soccer of USA had a relegation/promotion system like everywhere else....theres raw talent out there in the streets that can’t be seen because they don’t have the money to afford an expensive university and get noticed
You and me both. Even as an Atlanta fan, who watches a club that seems to have it figured out, there's no argument to be made against a relegation system. We already have lower divisions here, give them the chance. Make the current MLS teams stay good, not just write em a check for nothing.
If you haven’t been to Mercedes Benz stadium, you definitely need to go. When you first step in, you will be absolutely amazed how tall and massive it is. The atmosphere at the Atlanta United games are electric and it’s just a full party for 90 minutes. I know it’s MLS, but if you’re European, I promise you Atlanta is a special place for soccer (football).
Lol they went to some of the best places that the Deep South has to offer, then they nearly ruin the whole trip by going to a GA State game 😂. they could have gone to Tech, UGA or GA Southern if they wanted to see some real college game day atmosphere in GA. This video gives me all the feels though. GA is my home and I pray it always will be. Grew up, and currently live in metro ATL, went to college down in the Savannah/Tybee area. This state/region has so much to offer. I’d take it over California and New York any day of the week. Cheers boys. 👍✌️
Grew up in Athens, currently in Boston for some time. I miss all the tailgating, Saturday Kickoffs, late night music in Athens. The whole vibe to the South is different
Brilliant short doc - as a fellow Brit, l just went to the MLS cup in Atlanta - incredible stadium, groovy city and just remarkable people and fans. A credit to the world of sport and more!
My favorite video to ever go on this channel. Born and raised in atl currently living in London and damn this made me homesick. Love to see you guys appreciating the best of what the southeast of the US has to offer! Keep up this kind of video, it'll take Copa90 far.
Copa90 delivers again! Damn, I want to go to one of those Atlanta games! I will travel across the States one day and that’ll be one of the stop offs. Much love from Scotland!
its plastic as they get. its the leipzig redbull of the states. placed a team with money and not with the growth a football club needs to understand where they came from. All those fans will be gone when they get bad. None of them were around for the lower league matches of Atlanta Silverbacks and if they were they changed clubs for a ml$ club. If you go to the ATL make it for a silverbacks match.
Watching this was an absolute pleasure, being from Atlanta, going to school in coastal Georgia, it was awesome to see copa90 take a dive into my culture and world when really it’s been copa90 helping me dive more into the world of football. Just gutted I didn’t know the boys were going to be in Sav!
I’m happy to see y’all enjoyed it! Georgia is one of the best states by far. It’s great to see they got to experience everything! Even the part of visiting Stone Mountain made me happy because I have family around there, and it’s cool to see cops 90 visiting places even like that
My girl and I recently took a road trip down to Florida and stayed a night in Savannah on our way home. We also went to Tybee Island, beautiful place. The way the Spanish moss encompasses the trees in Savannah, casting a shadow over the streets, it's FUCKING GORGEOUS. Cool place just to cruise through, if you wanted.
You should do a video about CSA. Not only they had 3 promotions in a row, they also are going to play in Brazil's first divison for the first time since 1986( also the last time a team from their state played in the first division)
you boys did it right, the south is so choice for a road trip like this, took one very similar right before college and this is taking me back, making me quite proud to be a yank
I was there several years ago. I wish we got out to Tybee Island. Glad you guys got to experience Southern hospitality in Savannah and Charleston. Can't beat authentic Shrimp and Grits down South
Come back for either southern derby or the NC derby. The southern derby is like Cascadia Cup. It fought between three USL-Championship teams of the Charleston Battery, the Charlotte Independence, and North Carolina FC. The NC derby is between Charlotte and North Carolina FC and i promise you there is a ton of bad blood between these two clubs.
If they think that College Football (American Football) game is amazing, they should've went to a University of Georgia game. We have over 90,000 fans a game.
@vaggelis marinakis "if college football was so great, the whole world would have followed it by now, but they dont". That's because no one is actively spreading the sport around the globe, like the British did with soccer in 1800s. One of main reasons soccer is so big is because most countries never had an established sport before soccer came along.
American football/sports culture is so weird. It goes like "here, support this club we just created, usually by us, people who have no connection with this country/region/city (usually is like that) and we just want to make money. While in europe or latin america is like "my family supports this club since my great grandfather, so i am a supporter also. And i can date the history of this club to my culture and history of the city/region since the XIX early XX century". But we can truly see how Football is very recent to the USA, the way they talk about it, is so cringeworthy. It looks so plastic for me. Still, we have to start somewhere. I truly believe that the football world needs a strong US and a USA who truly plays this game. If they truly want, its a matter of time, they have the resources and the population (a state is like a individual european country in population). Hope it gets to be at least the 2nd biggest sport in there. But if the league is ever going to be on the level of Europe top leagues? Most likely no. Because if the players are good enough, like latin american countries and small europeans countries, they most likely are going to europe, to the top leagues.
That's interesting, Iwould switch for high speed trains in a heart beat. My family has had an RV rotting in their yard for years now. It was fun to take out the first few times, then it just becomes a hassle to use it, clean it and feed it gas every few miles
Fantastic video, my only comment, yall could've done alot better than the cavernous empty GaState (or came a week later for the GaSouthern rivalry). College football is where the South THRIVES

European soccer.. really? Then just say European Football 😂

Wait, they don't have RV's in England?
Those kind of vehicles for long road trips are a uniquely American cultural idiosyncrasy. Long-distance travel in Europe is typically done on trains.
They do. Just not as common as in the States and typically referred to as caravans.
Because our roads were built for horse and carts and not massive houses on wheels!
