  • NOTE: this specific timer by Neewer "Timer remotecontrol RS-60" im using is for Canon Camera's models:XS XSi T1i T2i T3i XT XTi 500D 550D 600D
Hi there, last week ive gotten this cool remote timelapse controller from my friend Paul Petty whos been doing timelapses on his channel for a while now.
This Digital remoteTimer enables you take pictures with a choosen interval so u can later put en all togeter and make a timelapse video out of it.
i never done this before and thought it was real cool to do so i looked into it.
heres a little review of the Remote timer and my first ever timelapse i did.
    more will follow for sure!
Please enjoy and dont forget to rate comment and subscribe!

Long is actually quite handy feature of the intervalometer to use at night. If I want a 3 minute exposure I set my camera to Bulb and just press the start button. Just so I don't have to use a timer on my phone or if I want to walk away for a few minutes then come back. Thats my tip :)

@pinzgauernorcal naa i dont think so..main thing of a good timelapse is that ur camera doesnt move a milimeter while making it...this would be not possible hanging in the air..
    Thx for watching

Thank you!! This is my first time lapse and the last instruction video I watched said that 'length' was the length of time you wanted to shoot for. My shoot will take place over several days, so I cranked the number up.....aaand spent half a day before I realised it wasn't actually taking any photos! (I turned the sound off and left the room). I was ready to start banging my head against the wall when I found your video. All is not lost, I guess I should go and set it all up again...

That looks very similar to the Energizer ENS-LCDU intervalometer I just bought at Best Buy. Works great with my
Canon SX50 (bridge camera/high zoom). My camera has most of the features of a DSLR except interchangeable
    lenses and bulb.

I bought a Bower model RCLC3R, but found I couldn't connect it to a Canon T3, so I made a modification to the RCLC3R. It works in all modes except video, so my next project will be to correct it. If interested, see my channel for video.

Nice review! I got the Neewer model from ebay. It seems fine, but when you press the light button to backlight the display, the light is very dim. It looks like it almost does nothing. Is this normal for these cheap units, or do you think I got a defective one?

  • @JasonHochstedler

Thanks for the great tutorial. Perhaps one big drawback for this controller is that it can't do fractions +/- of a second. For instance, after using time lapse calculator app to figure interval times, it said I would need to set to shoot every 1.25 seconds. This can't be done with this controller, as far as I can tell, since seconds are smallest time adjustment. Please let me know if there IS a way to do it. Thanks!

What is the difference between the "Delay" and "Interval" settings?

    • @AlejandroPuenteMX
      @AlejandroPuenteMX 9 років тому

greenhippo31 The "Delay" is a timer you can set to start taking pictures. With "Interval" you can set the space of time (interval) between one picture and the next one, this is mostly used for timelapse.

Too bad you didn't really cover the 'Long' section...just brushed over it as if it wasn't relevant....most DSLRs won't have an exact time possibility and often not a pre-set more than 30 seconds so this is actually a good feature some times...as explained by Tomas Söderström....also you didn't cover AT ALL the slide action of the shutter button nor what the 'lock' button is for.
Good video for what it is but not really complete.....maybe you should update it with corrections and complete it.
    Thanks anyway.
