Thank you for a WORTHWHILE tutorial. I've seen quite a few others and learned everything EXCEPT how to use it efficiently.
Yours is BY FAR the best and most concise.
Thanks and cheers from Canada North
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, finally I know how to use it
PS: if you need to take more then 399 shots, you set to - - ( dash dash ) it will take the pictures till the battery runs out, on camera or intervalometer....
You're welcome. Let me know if you have any questions
My man! Everything I needed to know in 3 minutes. Thank you, sir.
Glad to help!
This is how all tutorials have to be. Straight to the point. Thank you very much Matthew.
You're welcome.
You gave the clearest interpretation of how to use an intervelometer of any I've watched. Now I'm going to have to dig it back out of my camera bag again. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Looks pretty simple and straightforward. Thanks for posting this.
You're welcome!
Thank you so much, all the information i needed in a short time, absolutely perfect!
You're welcome!

You're welcome!

Thanks a lot!
You're welcome!
I purchase on of the Neewer, It has no shut of switch have to remove the battery every time after shooting real sucks
If you don't use it for a minute or two, the device will turn off.
how do you turn the intervalometer off
If I set the long exposure setting, do I have to change my camera to builb mode or does it just work?
No. You need to choose the correct shutter speed.
For anyone wondering these don't automatically turn off, you have to remove a battery
I think if you just let it sit for a while it will also turn itself off.
@@mattjohnsonphoto Mine does not turn off. EZa-C1. Maybe a "Neewer" version does (see what I did there).
Save everyone some time
- need bulb mode setting in camera for the “long” option to work / otherwise shutter will be what is set on the camera and remote only adds time to wait for next shot
- most units don’t shut off by themselves. Need to remove batteries.
Good video and helpful just a couple of things to update
Thanks for the tips!
It would be great to have written instructions of your explanation. The one that comes in the package seem to be written by a Chinese in Chinese English.
Yeah the instructions are terrible. That's why I made the video.
Is it possible to trigger the execution of videos with the control?? or just photos??? Thank you
Yes!
I have same remote but exposure not effecting camera exposure do i need set different mode on camera or what
Yes.
You need to set camera to use Bulb Mode, this would keep shutter open until the intervalometer takes over.
I do baseball and football photography, will this do a burst when I hold down the shutter?
Yes, you can use this as a traditional cable release.
It's more than you need though. Do a search for " Canon cable release" (put in your camera model if you have something other than a Canon), and that will be just fine for sports photography.
Matt Johnson thank you so much! Will do
Hi Matt! So it seems you can't set the shutter speed from the remote, right? That speed wasn't 4 sec at all
No you can't set the shutter speed on the remote.
@@mattjohnsonphoto thanks!
@@mattjohnsonphoto Are you sure you don't just have to set the shutter on the camera to BULB first? So it opens when shutter button is pressed and closes on release? Maybe you forgot to set the camera first?
@@mattjohnsonphoto put camera in bulb mode, then when you enter "x" seconds the shutter duration [speed] is "x" seconds.
I just ordered one of those. How can I turn it off or it turns off itself?
It just turns itself off
Matt Johnson Thanks for replying! Mine did not turn off itself overnight.
Set N to -- for unlimited shots.
Good to know. Thanks so much.
Like it, but haven't found a way to shut it off yet without pulling the batteries out.
It's my understanding that if you just let it sit for a bit it will turn itself off.
How to turn off? Without taking the battery out??
You just let it sit for a minute or two and it will turn off.
i know this is old but you can have the intervalometer take unlimited pictures by changing the number of pictures option to - - -. also you must be in bulb mode
Thanks!
Mine behaves really weird: The signal gets shorter and shorter till the LED barely blinks when releasing the shutter, then it resets to longer signals and repeats. That's really problematic as the signals become too short for some cameras to detect so you miss a number of frames until it resets. Why on Earth they made the intervalometer that way is beyond me.
That's strange.
Matt, it looks like you have no idea and you don't care how these are used
Would you care to elaborate on what I got wrong?
