I'm 60 and my wife is 70. I first discovered GHOST about 5 months ago, my wife asked what the appeal of GHOST is to me. Was it the shock of a Satanic band or something else. That's when I played this song for her..... She has been a fan ever since. Point of fact we saw GHOST live 05 Sept 2023 in Irving Texas as a result. She enjoyed the show so much she was moved to tears, it was the happiest I have seen her in over 20 years. Thank you GHOST for giving her love for life back!
This is a huge part of Ghost’s magic. Someone your age, & my age (I’m 60), on down to 20’s & 13 and 14 year olds… their audience reaches a wider demographic than I’ve ever seen with any other band. And seeing them live is the same experience; what they do works on so many levels, it appeals to every age group under the sun. Tobias has absolutely tapped into something magical
So glad to see another Ghost video! This song is arguably one of their most popular, it won them their first Grammy (they won one this past season with "Call Me Little Sunshine"). I love watching this song live, in some cases Tobias will re-enact the moment where he grabs the girl's hand with a fan. We like to call it being "Cirice'd"! On another note, I agree, their synth/keyboard is spectacular. "Miasma" is an instrumental song from Prequelle, but it includes an amazing synth solo AND a saxophone solo! I'd highly recommend checking the song out, whether or not it ends up in a video. Also, if you ever want to introduce your cat, I'd love to see them! Be well!
Emily is one of my favorite names. Thanks for the comments. And Henry has been in a couple videos and one thumbnail: Episode 36 Parquet Courts is the only one I know for sure. His nickname is video interruptus.
Hey, another Ghost reaction! Thank you for the awesome reaction and analysis. Many of Ghost's songs have deeper lyrics than they seem on the surface, and Cirice is no exception. Also, glad to meet Video Interruptus! 😂
Thanks FB. If you're asking for a reaction, I'll be pausing on Ghost for awhile. Or I can just listen on my own. Either way, thanks for the suggestion.
My friend Invited me to one of their concerts back in Febuary and I've honestly haven't been able to stop listening to them. I've slowly worked my way into finding my favorites to branching out and exploring the rest of the albums and slowly starting to even appreciate the less popular ones. My Recommendations: Rats Year Zero Dance Macabre Off the cuff Recommendation: Elizabeth. Its not one of the main popular ones but it does have a similarity with Kaisarion being about a historical figure.
Woo hoo! I made it into a video! Haha, glad to hear you enjoyed it though. I hope you'll consider diving more into them. If you'd really like a drastic change of pace, hit up their song He Is.
Woo hoo indeed. After I've done three reactions, I usually need to take a break to keep it fresh. Hope that makes sense. Hard to react to the familiar. Meanwhile, let me know of other artists you'd like to see.
@@wallbangerreactions you should check out thier cover of " If You Have Ghosts" by Roky Erikson. Their is a live version where they are in a studio that is incredible. Dave Grohl actually produced it and it's rumored that he played drums on it. They even have an acoustic cover of it that is great too! This band is just on another level

What a wonderful story. My friend's daughter just caught them last week in the States. Said it was a great show.

Great comment Paul. And glad to have an older viewer. My analytics show my audience is mostly under 45.
Thanks for commenting Paul and hope you enjoyed the reaction.

Coming back to say Ghost just released a Genesis cover, Jesus He Knows Me! Hopefully you can check it out soon! Hope you’re well ❤
If you want to hear a very elegant, old school and prog rock song of theirs, I recommend Majesty! It has a beautiful atmosphere to it!
Thanks for the suggestion CC.

Thanks for the kind word Seulja. We agree on the lyrics. And I'd like to say Video Interruptus was glad to meet you too, but hey, he's a cat.
Thanks for the kind words Soulja. And Video Interruptus bit me tonight. Very unusual.
I just discovered Ghost about 4 months ago and I love them, I'm 57 and wish I would've known about them sooner.
Never too late, right?
For deep lyrics and an absolute earworm of a song I would recommend Spillways off of their new album. It is magnificent.

I love this Tona because one thing led you to explore another thing. That's how the curious mind works. Congrats on being curious.
That Bill Clinton impression mad me LOL so out of nowhere
Well, thank ya, thank ya.
This song also won a Grammy
Didn't know that. Thanks Mary.

Fantastic review on one of my favorite Ghost songs!
Hoping you will review "He is" from them, next!!
Not sure when I'll hit up Ghost again, but I do pay attention to requests.
"He is" would be a nice fit, a real contrast.
Love your channel, brother! Ghost is a truly amazing band
Thank you Keith. And ditto on amazing.

I love Roky Erickson. I'll have to check that out for sure.
Great job! I watch a ton of first time react vids like yours, and very rarely do those reviewers get in to technical aspects like you do. 👏👏👏 Bravo
Thank you for the kind words Donny and welcome to the channel.
A-? The video made it an A+ ! They won a Grammy for this song . Best metal performance
A- is an excellent rating.
You should check out Bad Omens, for real you should.
I added that to my spreadsheet for a future poll. Check the Community Page soon.
