For me, the best scanners are those that have the greatest number of special adjustments available. Even more if it's like these that Launch are using On Line. In my workshop here in Brazil I use Bosch KTS590 and Launch Pro3, Marelli. I'm in doubt between Launch 5 or Autel that has keys. As Launch is leaking more updates online I think I'm going to Launch!
Hi. Please can you provide me any information about how to get more information on Marelli, price, models. I live in Bolivia 🇧🇴 so your comment caught my attention. Where can I buy it please. Thank you
I've not seen a video that lined up so many scanners on one screen for a comparison. They all have something to offer and like you said, some lack in some areas. It all comes down to value for the individual I guess. Professionals need as many tools as possible to be competitive while DIY guys such as myself, need to consolidate down to one or two choices to be cost effective. I've had great service from my DS 708 and my 906BT and recently added the Launch IV (I think it is). I enjoy learning about scanners and scopes so thanks. This was interesting for me.
I have to say, despite the hate on Snap-On, it still is the best all around...considering you're getting a 4 channel and capable scanner all in one and you are not going to have that graphing capability...just saying! I love the Bosch, but no 4 channel 🤔 Great video Jay!
Thanks Wyatt it was def a challenge trying to get them all in and keeping up with all of them, my hope was that people can see the layout the way they function and the differences between them. The Autel 906BT is a very good machine. I felt I left the IM608 out a little but it’s strengths are really the Immo and programming. The snap on is a good machine too like Pauly said if you need a scope. For the money buying say a bosch ads 625 and a pico 4425 might be better but diff strokes for diff folks like you said comes down to what do you need. Keeping in mind subscription cost etc. the launch only cost $400 a year for the torque which really isn’t bad either. I wish there was a one fit for all it would be a lot cheaper lol.
@@PaulysAuto I have to agree the snap is my goto scanner . The hardware portion of it is built to last so it gets beat up a lot and keeps going. I have the launch that I use for most my coding functions. I be to afraid to use the launch as my day to day scanner . Lol
Excellent video. Best side by side comparison/demonstration made on UA-cam. Would like to hear your comments on subscriptions on each model and on subscriptions in general. I.e.: consequences of not renewing, what is included with subscriptions, etc. Thanks for the information! Signed, Future Scan Tool Owner (brand still undecided)
Just my opinion, but snap on stinks at euro cars. Doesnt read most of the modules on bmw, mercedes, etc.. look into it if you dont believe me. Does fine on domestic and asian models
THIS IS GREAT , i would love to see any one of them on a ford that ford do a all key lost key programming with just one key or just add one key... just saying would love to see it all the best and thanks so much for your time !
I doubt it can because when i used ford factory we needed two keys a trick we used was call our dealer friend and learn one of his keys and give it back to him lol
Came here for some clarification and now.... I WANT THEM ALL! 😂😂😂😂 but seriously need to figure out what to purchase next. Great video Jay! Thanks for sharing bro!
The Autel does many more test. They don't all show at once they are categorized. Headlights, horn, signaling, starter, fuel pump, transmission solenoids........
as far as the tests, i think it would only be a true test if all the scanners took their turns scanning the BMW because it's really the car factor that either has tons of sensors and technology to provide things to test, thus maybe not 100% accurate test , nice stuff tho peace
I have to say the Snap-On still wins at the end of the day, outside of the programming capabilities. Simply because you're getting everything, the graphing capability, and the 4 channel scope.
PAULY'S AUTO it’s def a good scanner I like it a lot. It’s def interesting to see the differences. The snappy graphing is incredible tho for sure. I hope they start adding more functions
Great video man I love it. Can u do a video about the labor times and labor procedures on the Bosch. I have Alldata pro and I’m thinking about getting this scanner and if it can replaced Alldata pro that is a winner. I would also like to see key programming and the immobilizer on the Autel scanner
Just watched ur video awesome info thank tou very much . Im looking to purchasing a scanner in stuck on either the bosh 625 or snap on Zeus Big price difference lol. I work mostly on light duty and some medium duty diesel. Is u can give ur opinion on what will work for i would greatly appreciate it
Hi, Im just getting started on vehicle repair. Is there one that you can recommend that states what the problem is but also mentions the location of the problem? Im new to auto repair so I don't know where everything is.
I wounder if you can help me out , I just bought used zeus , it came with car charger cable only (12V from cig. ligher ) , I want to get replacement power supply but what voltage ? if you can check your charger voltage for me please mate (the output voltage written on sticker )
Does the Autel IM608 support the modes from mode 01 to mode0A ? and if he does have all the functions and diagnostics service that the technician want ?
Yes it does and yes it has excellent bi directional controls as well coding etc. on Top of the normal service resets not too mention immo and key programming. It’s prob the most well rounded scanner I’ve ever used
HI Guys here is a comparison on what scanner to buy? well ? All of them, buy as many as you can, they all have holes. Here i show the Bosch ADS625 on a 14 BMW 328D F30 & The Autel IM608 on a 10 Hyundai Electra & Snap On Zeus on a 14 Hyundai Sante Fe &Launch Torque on a Ford Focus
I want to see in cylinder with the Zeus scope. How detailed is it? How does it look when zoomed in? Have they fixed their 0 point calibration issues yet? Another test would be idle relearn on a Nissan 😂😂😂👍...any of them capable???? Maybe compare HO2 or AFRS switch rate graphing on various makes?
I can add some Eli, I usually don’t put any on here. I usually do remove and replace to help anyone that can’t figure thing out. I can try to add some others I have to like the Diagun, Forscsn & and the CanDo down the road. I figured I would start with these since they are comparable. Keep up the good work on your channel too, you do a great job
Do any of the scanners work on personal water craft, motorcycles, side by sides or off road equipment? If they do what is the weight loss too my wallet?
So what I would recommend for that is Texa it’s an amazing scanner made for that. Snap on will do Harley that’s the only one tho. Texa does all watercraft , off-road , side by etc check into it. It’s pretty reasonable considering it’s capabilities
why not the launch pad vii or maybe you didnt have a clue how to use this onen as you bumbled right throgh this video not knowing enough on any one model
hey one of my tool salesman says that the bosch with the right update package (that year never ending one for lifetime warrenty) and do j2354 from it with no lap top or subscriptions for every module i think hes full of shit is that possible?
The way it works is, if you keep updating your Bosch before the subscription runs out it’ll hold the lifetime hardware warrenty. If for some reason you skip a year of subscription then you lose the hardware warrenty. Does that make sense? As far as the j2534 he’s full of shit, you need a laptop to program (the ADS625 and any other Bosch) has zero capabilities to program lol. You hook the j2534 to laptop and buy oe subscriptions just like any other jbox. Also the Bosch has a lot of holes vs snap on, launch & Autel. The wire diagrams & repair data is ok not the best but good.
There’s no debt they were paid for and upgraded since this video. I run a shop these scanners all have holes I’d be giving away work. The im608 nothing beats got keys, the snap on is the best for drivability the launch fills the holes of the snap on and autel etc
@@weldingjunkie good point but I also run a shop but I don’t get that many needs to program keys so to justify over $4k for the handful of key jobs I let go out the door over the past 6 years my shop been open doesn’t make sense to me unless your a locksmith or just have that many key jobs. As for the snap on, they are great and I completely agree with you but $10k for a Zeus is too much when I can have a modis ultra with the same software. Autel I feel is the best scanner all around scanner in my opinion(and I know you didn’t ask for my opinion). But thanks for taking time out of you busy schedule to respond to me
