  • John, since you were asking, here's a sample of the overdrive tone from the Cub. Bridge pup on PRS SE Custom 24. As with Richards. I find it easier to remove the low E string, that way I'm not preoccupied with avoiding the string. Yes to the G tuning.

Learning to balance the volume, gain and the limiter together will give you more of what the amp is really capable of. Also using the 3 inputs in combinations will give you more options as well.

Thank you, Richard. As for the settings on the amp, I sadly have no recollection. The tone knobs may have been at or close to noon. The volume was likely low with gain high. The limiter I rarely mess with or think about because I find it next to useless. I am sorry I can’t be more precise with my answer. Thanks again, Brian.

Great tone! What settings are you using on the Cub?

The limiter is far from useless
You need to learn how to use it. It’s the heart of good tone from these amps 🙄

Only seems to have a subtle effect when gain is set to 12 o'clock or above. That's been my experience, and I've fiddled with it quite a bit.
