I saw your truck and said, that's my truck!! I have the 2019 all black RAM Laramie. Have had mine for 4 months. On the auto unlock, I've not had any issues once I learned what locks it and what unlocks it. All a matter of hand and thumb location. On the GPS, I've had a different issue. Sometimes when I first drive off in the morning, it will show me out in the field next to the road I'm on. That auto corrects after a while and I'm back on the road, according to my GPS at least. I haven't had the issue of it taking me somewhere other than where I want to go. I have had that issue on my Harley, however. That GPS is a Garmin so you might be on to something there. Paint I agree the electrical system is good just standard software bugs like everyone else transmission are pretty stout the 8 speed is way better than the GM one
K. Murray They’re still both owned by FCA. Just the branding was separated. But that’s what happened 10 years ago. I’m not sure why you’re so up in arms, just stating a cool fact I was surprised about as well.
I have noticed that my 2020 chips paint WAY to easy. Yeah they are tiny and generally on the front end but damn I've had the truck for 3 months and I have noticed atleast 5 chips on the front end.
I will be getting a longhorn edition that's for sure! But my wife asked me "why haven't we got the truck yet?" I told her you never get the first year model! It's just too new, they haven't worked all the kinks out yet. The 2020 models should be better. Software updates stuff like that. But feedback from current customers will help, future customers like myself. So thank you for this video.
MrStaton352 I totally agree with your comment! 👍 I just figured I’d bite the bullet and do it anyway... lol! So far we love our 2019 Bighorn 4X4. We’ve got less than 2,000 miles on her, but totally happy!
Harold B. Vigil Sr. Good to here. It’s such a treat to drive these Rams on the open road. Getting ready soon to do my 2nd oil change and not a drop of oil used. Not like my other trucks like GM 6 litre and Ford 4.6. Now my other trucks were decent but this Ram is by far nicer. Better ride. More luxurious. Gas is averaging 21 miles per gallon on highway. (Not bad) doing 110 k’s. Great interior design and style all around.
I agree, cant wait to go to work to drive. Only options I don't have is moonroof and automatic rear window. Love the 4wd and the power it has. Drives great in Colorado.
For the salesman, I have learned that once the sale is made, they are basically done with you. Before the sale super responsive friendly and helpful. They will come in early and stay late for you. They will respond to text messages late at night or early in the morning. After the sale you should expect almost nothing. If you want something that could cost the dealership time or money you will be lucky to get a delayed text response. If you understand that, you will be more happy in the future. If possible, always make sure you do a good test drive and test everything before you buy, because once you buy, even if it’s a very legit concern, it will be very hard for you to get fixed by the dealership. I would have been easier to buy a different truck than fix something. Also never buy with the promise that they will fix something after you buy. This is my experience.
Jeff Hirata All very true! Unless you have a relationship with a dealer and dealership that you have bought vehicles multiple times from. I know that doesn’t happen with most people, but I’ve bought 4 vehicles from my specific dealership in the past 5 years and the reason my wife and I go back is because of how we’re treated before and after the sale. That I have to say has a lot to do with management and good employees. 👍
100% agree!! Not just RAM but also applies to all brands. I experienced what you described at Cadillac, Ford, Toyota, Nissan and Subaru. Subaru was the worst! This dont matter what year or decade either, this has been over 25 years, replacing cars every 3 years. Bottomline is it depends on each dealerships training and more importantly each individual sales persons attitude to making the difference or not.
I feel for you. The first windshield crack in my 2015 Wrangler was at just less than 3K miles. I need the 4th one replaced now at 76K. Just part of owning a wrangler with the upright windshield. Trying to buy a 2020 Ram in this market now. Thanks for the video, great work.
@@ronaldhickman9953 your full of crap, every vehicle I've owned for the last 5 years has been a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep product and not 1 issue. My wife has a 2019 300C that is phenomenal and I'm in the process of trading my 2018 wrangler I'm on a new Ram 2500. Mopar or No car
Your phone can interfere with the proximity unlock feature if it's anywhere near the key fob. I drive a few different vehicles and I've had this happen every so often with all of them.
I had a 2017 Big Horn that had some paint issues. I filled out a survey with complaints of the paint and they reached out to me. They actually paid to have my entire hood repainted. I would recommend that you contact FCA about the paint, they are very responsive. I have the same 2019 truck and I love it! The panoramic roof is awesome!
Hmm...Black is difficult to keep clean and shows every little nick or scratch, whereas white doesn't...how insightful. A rock hit and cracked the windshield...but that's not the fault of the truck or its design. Thanks for sharing such valuable info 🙄. What a waste of time...
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA Oh wait, there's more...the car salesman was a jerk and, if you want specific options on a vehicle, you should order one vs. buying off the lot and settling. Damn dude, you're a genius.
@@davidfriedman3610 Yeah..... its really amazing how people don't get that it is just my experience with the truck if you want a text book review go watch Motor Trend instead of trolling my real world experience channel on a truck I actually own not a press car that I've had for a week
I’ve got a 2015 F150, but I ain’t never seen a truck I don’t like. Tundra is hard for me to get into, but they are also good, but gasoline sucking things.
I can’t agree more about the black paint. Had a 2014 blackout, gave up on maintaining the shine. I eventually switched to white when I leased my 2017 bighorn. Once you go black you will probably go back.
my next door neighbor has a brand new Z71 1500 in all black and it looks amazing. he keeps it clean though. definitely the nicest looking truck on our street. but i need to show him up with the Ram ahaha
I went from a 99 Ram to a 16 F150. Not because I wanted to but because I had to. I wanted a new Ram at the time, but they didn't fit my needs. Too high and lacks suicide quad cab doors. Ford is the only manufacturer who still has those. I am handicapped, and I use the rear seat to store my walking aides (crutches) while I drive.
Just a tip I always keep a glass cutter in all my glove boxes so if you get a chip in your windshield pull over as soon as you can and take the glass cutter and cut a circle around the chip so it will not crack. This will stop it from traveling across the wind shield saving you hundreds to replace. Then you can have the chip filled so it is hidden for around $50.00 vs several hundred. This really works I have do this to 50+ vehicles over the years.
I wish I had thought about that when I owned wranglers. The shape and thickness of the glass meant you always got chips and chips were a death sentence for those windshields.
With the key fob issue I have a dodge and it does it if the key fob is behind the phone I guess it won't go through the phone or interference. Only happens when phone is in same pocket
Just purchased the flame red bighorn and I absolutely love it. Mine does not have navigation but I can connect it to my phone and use the gps on it. You may want to do this in order to have the most updated maps.
Throw in a hellcat supercharger and it will be perfect. I suggest clear vinyl over the entire front end to protect from chips. Did it to my 18 Silverado z71 mine is black on black as well.
Scotty Kilmer is a joke, his major goal is getting clicks and views so most of the time his none sense rants are nothing more than someone trying to be controversial to the popular opinion... it works tho! lol if people would really listen to him we'd all be driving toyotas form the 90s.
@@smartassmart Like ira rather said. it is only 2 years. even a dodge dart will be fine after only 2 years. come on people. you got to be smarter than that.
german80 i've been working on cars since i was a kid, i'm also pretty active in the ram forums, where we see all the issues (or lack thereof) from all model years... one of my good friends has been a dodge chrysler tech for over 20 years, so i'm pretty confident in my previous statement.
I had a 2019 RAM SPORT, tires were junk, door wouldn't open sometimes, NAV had to be replaced 2 wks after I got it, sometime it would tell me when I was going to fast in miles per hr n next time it would say in kms. Check engine light would stay on n the dealer would say nothing wrong, it stayed on the whole summer. The last time the wk before I sold her ,it wouldn't start. She had 18 mnths of warrenty left so I dumped it!... NICE TRUCK BUT TOO MANY PROBLEMS WHEN ITS BRAND NEW!...😒 my truck had every option u could get, maybe she was over loaded with options, at 60 I was hoping it was my last new truck to buy.
Just a question. You mentioned the tires that came on your truck weren't very good. I just purchased a 2020 Ram 1500 it came with Bridgestone tires. What brand tires did you have?
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA OK Thanks buddy! I was curious if I had the same tires that you originally had. Mine are Bridgestones and I've only got 120 miles on them at the moment lol. So I was wondering if they were the same ones you didn't like. But apparently they aren't! Wheew! lol. Thanks again
Lets at least go 10 years. Its a fucking dodge. Wtf. Have u done this before. U are s idiot driving. Useing a fucking phone while driving. Its a dodge man what u exspect? U bought this. Well u r fucked now. These r junk. Its just u cant find olderones....
Black is the worst color to get. I traded a Black 2017 GMC Canyon for a 2020 Granite Crystal Ram Crew Cab Laramie. That's the perfect color to get. You cannot tell it is dirty unless you look at it.
After 3 years the only thing I wished I could do differently is I would have opted for the 33 gallon fuel tank. When towing my travel trailer I’m constantly stopping for gas. And the air conditioning sucks.
Love RAM but my 19 was the worst. All kind of little issues but the big one was when the brake controller vacuum assembly went. Fixed under warrantee but only after 4 trips to the dealer and a 6 month back order on parts. Ended up selling it. Not sure I'll buy another in the future.
The chip in the windshield has nothing to do with reviewing a truck. That scenario can happen to any vehicle. As far as your issues with the sales staff, that also has nothing to do with the actual vehicle itself. That seems to happen at many vehicle dealerships now days. Find you a dealer that treats you right and doesn’t play games.
i have ram 2018 27000k. works fine no problems i love it ....... but have to do some steps first wen you got it from the factory take you car to some one do 3M body care to cover the car body with 3M. and also cover you windshield with 3m that 2 steps. helps the body and the windshield from the rock and scratches
We dealt with a Dodge dealership just like that. Guy was a 100% bona fide douchebag. They gave us a used purple challenger for 24 hours as an extended test drive (a car they couldn't unload) - and when we brought it back the next day, he accused us of putting a big scratch on the quarter panel. He declared he was going to go "look at the pictures" - and never came back. A few years later I got an additional fun surprise when the quarter panels started rusting out from the inside. They inject foam behind the body panels of these cars for stiffening and sound deadening. All it does is supercharge their rust out
Once you leave with your purchase you are shit out of luck. I've bought many cars and trucks through the years. One was a pre-owned Nissan Altima. When I bought it, it was raining and dark outside. Next day when the weather was clear and daylight, I found 2 small chip cracks in the windshield the size of rain drops. Went back to the dealer that day to show them what I found and they absolutely refused to do anything about it. They kept saying to me.......how do we know this didnt happen while you had the vehicle? No matter how many times I explained I had this car for less than 24hrs. How it was dark and raining when I looked at it, test run and purchased. They didnt give a shit and refused to do anything. Eventually over time those 2 spots started to spread a crack line across the windshield and I had to replace it to pass inspection. As a result from this. I wont ever look for a vehicle in bad weather or at night anymore. Nor will I ever buy from a Nissan dealer again.
In summary... You were upset that your truck got rock chips in the paint and windshield from normal everyday driving. Darn shame that Ram did that to you, totally their fault
Hey my friend I just want to comment on the on lock and unlock functions if you have the key fob next to your phone or like electronic cigarette or something it would not work it happened to me and it's just not going to work it with the same pocket as your smartphone so you have to remove your smartphone to put the key in a different pocket and it will be fine
2019 Bighorn CrewCab - 5.7L V8 / 3.21 - Offroad / locker / descent ... blah-blah-blah ... dislikes 1) MPG ... just stupid ... seems like a 4x4 from the 90's 2) for 395HP just seems slow ... my friends 2.7EB is significantly quicker 3) has more than it's share of creaks/groans/rattles 4) at times the Auto A/C just stops blowing if it thinks the temp is perfect and seems slow to recover
Dude I think you're forgetting it's a truck not a Mercedes-Benz. I guess trucks used to be the work trucks and now these days everybody wants a luxury truck of course things are going to get scratch so what like I said a truck is a truck. I drive my truck off road and it's a Dodge Ram 4 by 4 no big deal that's what I bought it for not to cry over a little scratch.
I picked my 19 up in the rain too. Didn’t notice the dents on the passenger door where the ram logo is. I can see rubber Looks like it was hit with another vehicles tires. Luckily they told me to just bring it up there and they would take care of it.
My personal opinion this vehicle is impressive. The bad thing is the staff of prinsipal ajencia they do not want to help you in an auspicious yet savvy way that is the fault of their system, like that of the painting, I have a similar problem but with the airbags they exploded on their own and they say it is my fault 🤬 mi opinion personal este vehículo es impresionante . lo malo es el personal de ajencia prinsipal no te quieren ayudar en ausoluto aun saviento que es la culpa de su sistema , como lo de la pintura , tengo un problema paresido pero con las bolsas de aire explotaron por si solas y disen que es mi culpa 🤬
the rims are horrible GM has similar wheel option on siera and silverado makes them look like a hotwheels cars. maybe some wheel flares ? will vastly cut down on the amount of rock chips you will deal with in the future. all in all nice truck...
The door lock with the handle my Dodge charger 2013 does the same thing sometimes it works most of the time but then once in awhile doesn't work and I can't explain it
Why did Ram kept the same 1994 lower door rubbers on the new 2019? In salt use areas, all they do is trap road debries in side the drain holes, and the doors will rust on the door seams ( doors rust inside out )like every other Dodge.. Here in Alberta, 4 gen are rusting in the back front fenders, on my 3rd gen, the door seams were Swiss cheese in 3 5 years, ie, it had to rust threw before the 3 years, 60,000 km warranty, before Chrysler Canada blink ..
Just bought a 2020 Ram Laramie 1500 club cab night edition. I love it so far, only issue I had so far was the back up sensors automatically engaged the brakes while backing into my driveway yet there was no obstacles. Almost gave me whiplash it brakes so aggressively.
I have the Big Horn edition. It doesn’t even come equipped with NAV on it, but plugging in either an android or iPhone and you can have GPS through the dash with no problem. That’s what I do with mine
If u get the rebel i would not get the air suspension. Buddy of mine has one and has had problems with the air suspension. Basically a costly/risky option. Good luck in ur decision tho!
My last two Chrysler vehicles had the keyless enter and go and I found that if I kept the key fob in the same pocket as my cellphone it sometimes wouldn't unlock when you grabbed the door handle it must mess with the signal or something. Not sure if that's applicable to your situation but it was something I noticed. Love the truck, keep up the good content.
Badass!! Never thought I’d own a Ram but here I am shopping for one. Locking and unlocking using the handle while the fob is in your pocket can be annoying. This happens on my Lexus RC so I assume it’s a fob thing.
I notice you still have stock exhaust Steve. I’m a month in my Laramie....Patriot Blue. Black shines well. Have owned one black vehicle. I don’t like Good Year tires. Will end up with Cooper or Michelin when I change out. Don’t have 12” screen or gps. Reason for gps is exactly what you said...with my garmin, can update at home. Keep up the good work.
I have two recalls on my 2012 Avenger for airbags. It’s got to be a stupid little sensor part, because I started getting an airbag alert. I bet the bags would still work fine, but you can’t have that alert popping up intermittently. I also have a recall dealing with the catalytic. Waiting for the parts to come in.
sorry should have watched the whole vid before comment the auto door unlock is part of the security that never gets informed to anyone sometimes dealers dont know but many years ago i help put some large electronics any way when a stranger pulls the handle your auto unlock wont work to say hey someone or something tripped the security so you need you fob to reset it wont blow the horn or anything like that just a minnor trip
Great review brother. I just bought a 2021 night edition. I love it more than my 2 previous 1500's. Black is so tough. A little tip, take your truck back to your friend with at the detail shop. Have him do a 2 step paint correction, and the have him do a ceramic coating. It will help prevent the paint from the rock chips, and the black paint will look like a custom paint job. Good luck with the rest of the truck life.
I have the same issue with the keyless entry where you touch the handle and it does not unlock. I discovered it is interference from my cell phone. When I put the fob in a pocket on the other side of my body from the cell phone, no problem.
Regarding the tires: I own a 2016 RAM Big Horn, and it came with the Goodyear Wrangler SR-A's. They lasted 65 K Kms. (About 45 K miles). Never had any trouble with them, and they seemed pretty decent in the rain and snow. I replaced them with Michelin Defender LTX M+S tires. They're a really good all-round tire, but just a note, they ride much firmer than the SR-A's did. So much so, that I might go back to a softer tire. They won't last as long as the Michelin's but I prefer a smoother ride. I'll have to wait 5 years for the Michelin's to wear out, now! LOL!
I would love to get one of that great trucks, i love it since i drove one in the states 2 years ago. But in germany it's nearly impossible, because of the size and gas price :D you are messing a little bit wit the picture size are you? :) just see a black block through the video. Great video, i'm looking forward to visit the usa again in the future :)
Thanks for this. Just starting my research for a new Ram. Your insights help! Have a 2007 V6 that has been amazing. Cosmetic stuff broke, but otherwise a solid, solid truck.
I had the same issue with the navigation just the other day. I used Google maps to find a location and after that wanted to switch the Rams nav so I don't need to check my phone every intersection. The address was at a different location and was wrong

K. Murray They’re still both owned by FCA. Just the branding was separated. But that’s what happened 10 years ago. I’m not sure why you’re so up in arms, just stating a cool fact I was surprised about as well.
Ken Singh no 💩 🕵🏽♂️
Shocker; a Fiat with electrical problems.
I have noticed that my 2020 chips paint WAY to easy. Yeah they are tiny and generally on the front end but damn I've had the truck for 3 months and I have noticed atleast 5 chips on the front end.
They asked how big you want the screen he said: yes
Put about 2000 miles on it and than holla at use.
Yeah the navigation sucks big time
I will be getting a longhorn edition that's for sure!
Some dealer are selling them 18k off msrp
I bought the Ram Longhorn in Jan. Just love it. Have 10,000 k’s so far. No regrets. No issues.
Ram Rider Same here!! I am very happy and absolutely love mine! Momma already has almost 7K on ours.
Harold B.
I’ve heard of people put a clear vinyl on there front bumper and hoods.
Rocks go right through that expel too
I got the new 2019 Ram Warlock (w/Hemi) and I love driving it. I can’t wait to go to work just to drive it. Ram trucks are truly awesome.
They basically hit it and quit it........ Then you feel like a clingy girl who thought it was going somewhere.
They’re nice to me up until it’s time to complete the survey. 😔
Duh
Do you wave at the 3 other Rams at the light that look just like yours or.....
nope cause I bought a different one now lol
I feel for you. The first windshield crack in my 2015 Wrangler was at just less than 3K miles. I need the 4th one replaced now at 76K. Just part of owning a wrangler with the upright windshield. Trying to buy a 2020 Ram in this market now. Thanks for the video, great work.
What the charge today the truck should be perfect from top to bottom.
That is a great looking truck. I can't wait to get one in the fall
HFR83 you better smarten up real quick before the harsh reality hits of fiat-chrysler these things are absolute garbage
Mopar or No car
best Italian truck money can buy
Mopar or NO car.
David Friedman thank you for this snarky comment it was a waste of my time
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA Oh wait, there's more...the car salesman was a jerk and, if you want specific options on a vehicle, you should order one vs. buying off the lot and settling. Damn dude, you're a genius.
@@davidfriedman3610 Yeah..... its really amazing how people don't get that it is just my experience with the truck if you want a text book review go watch Motor Trend instead of trolling my real world experience channel on a truck I actually own not a press car that I've had for a week
Dude its a truck, chips and scratches give it character. Get real
yeah but not before the first oil change lol
I own one for 9 months and I like the cooling heating seats and the 8 inch screen good suspension too 4x4 of course if u live in Florida
Thought this going to be a review of the Ram not your personal issues and paint chips. Pretty misleading.
I love my 21' RAM.
I’ve got a 2015 F150, but I ain’t never seen a truck I don’t like. Tundra is hard for me to get into, but they are also good, but gasoline sucking things.
Did you get the white one? LOL...cause I watched one of your videos driving a white one...
I can’t agree more about the black paint. Had a 2014 blackout, gave up on maintaining the shine. I eventually switched to white when I leased my 2017 bighorn. Once you go black you will probably go back.
Never owned a truck that wasn’t black. More to maintain but entirely worth it when it’s clean
my next door neighbor has a brand new Z71 1500 in all black and it looks amazing. he keeps it clean though. definitely the nicest looking truck on our street. but i need to show him up with the Ram ahaha
Wow. Excellent point.
D Lessard that’s a good tip unfortunately for me the chip was on the black part that I couldn’t see until I noticed the crack
Until you're out of cell service
This is fairly useless unless you like complaints
Throw in a hellcat supercharger and it will be perfect. I suggest clear vinyl over the entire front end to protect from chips. Did it to my 18 Silverado z71 mine is black on black as well.
Yeah in spite of what Scotty Kilmer says, I still love my 2017 Ram 4x4. No regrets.
Scotty Kilmer is a joke, his major goal is getting clicks and views so most of the time his none sense rants are nothing more than someone trying to be controversial to the popular opinion... it works tho! lol if people would really listen to him we'd all be driving toyotas form the 90s.
Lmao! Dudes a joke indeed. Anything for the views.
It’s only 2 years old.
TheNewenglandboys my new ones are toyos
@@HammerdownMotorsportsUSA But can you tell me what tires originally came on it? And are you liking the toyos?
TheNewenglandboys the black ram had Goodyear touring and they sucked except in perfect weather I now have toyo open country mt on my Rebel 35 inch
Need a little cheese with that wine?
yes absolutely
Lets at least go 10 years. Its a fucking dodge. Wtf. Have u done this before. U are s idiot driving. Useing a fucking phone while driving. Its a dodge man what u exspect? U bought this. Well u r fucked now. These r junk. Its just u cant find olderones....
Check out Milestar Patagonia MT tires. I'm getting those for my F150. Good tire off and on road and quite.
I have the same truck. I think stock wise the only thing I would change is having the ability to fold the mirrors using a button.
All it does is supercharge their rust out
Never buy a car when it’s raining!!
Getting my own soon but I don't do white or black on my vehicles. Probably go with silver. Great video and thanks for the update!
In summary... You were upset that your truck got rock chips in the paint and windshield from normal everyday driving. Darn shame that Ram did that to you, totally their fault
Just do you know, I have had the same keyfob/door entry issues intermittently with my 2019 Jeep grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Must be a design flaw.
Kevin Cooper yeah I have a later build 19 now and I don’t notice it with that one
I'm very happy with the Ram GPS navigation system so far. Compared to our 2016 Subaru its excellent.
Lol put him in the back pushing paper 😂😂😂
Is getting the larger screen worth it?
Simply put yes all day yes
2019 Bighorn CrewCab - 5.7L V8 / 3.21 - Offroad / locker / descent ... blah-blah-blah ... dislikes
1) MPG ... just stupid ... seems like a 4x4 from the 90's
2) for 395HP just seems slow ... my friends 2.7EB is significantly quicker
3) has more than it's share of creaks/groans/rattles
4) at times the Auto A/C just stops blowing if it thinks the temp is perfect and seems slow to recover
It is a truck and I use mine as a truck should be but it should be at least chip and scratch free on the day of delivery
Haha. Mercedes is the same company.. my Ram key is the exact same key as my Mercedes just a different logo..
I picked my 19 up in the rain too. Didn’t notice the dents on the passenger door where the ram logo is. I can see rubber Looks like it was hit with another vehicles tires. Luckily they told me to just bring it up there and they would take care of it.
How a man can dream someday I'll get a new Dodge but for now I'll be rolling with my 05 2 door
nothing wrong with that I had one brand new loved it
My personal opinion this vehicle is impressive. The bad thing is the staff of prinsipal ajencia they do not want to help you in an auspicious yet savvy way that is the fault of their system, like that of the painting, I have a similar problem but with the airbags they exploded on their own and they say it is my fault 🤬
I just bought my first truck. I got a 2020 warlock. Thanks, I really enjoyed this!
the rims are horrible GM has similar wheel option on siera and silverado makes them look like a hotwheels cars. maybe some wheel flares ? will vastly cut down on the amount of rock chips you will deal with in the future. all in all nice truck...
Almost gave me whiplash it brakes so aggressively.
yup I have had that too go in the infotainment and turn off emergency braking and it will only give you a warning not whiplash if you choose to do so
Had the same thing happen with my new truck.
Trucks tend to come with fuel efficient tires good for summer but need AT tires asap
I have the Big Horn edition. It doesn’t even come equipped with NAV on it, but plugging in either an android or iPhone and you can have GPS through the dash with no problem. That’s what I do with mine
Yup I use Waze
I’m leaning towards the Rebel or Power Wagon
If u get the rebel i would not get the air suspension. Buddy of mine has one and has had problems with the air suspension. Basically a costly/risky option. Good luck in ur decision tho!
I have the 19 rebel as far as I know the air suspension is good for that year I know mine is working perfectly fine
I have a 2018 Dodge Durango and the same thing happens sometimes when I have the key fob in the same pocket as my cell phone.
Badass!! Never thought I’d own a Ram but here I am shopping for one. Locking and unlocking using the handle while the fob is in your pocket can be annoying. This happens on my Lexus RC so I assume it’s a fob thing.
Any update on this Ram 1500 and any major problems?
When you mention( we ) you’re referring to you and your beard right?
I notice you still have stock exhaust Steve. I’m a month in my Laramie....Patriot Blue. Black shines well. Have owned one black vehicle. I don’t like Good Year tires. Will end up with Cooper or Michelin when I change out. Don’t have 12” screen or gps. Reason for gps is exactly what you said...with my garmin, can update at home. Keep up the good work.
yes still stock exhaust but that might be changing in the next little bit we shall see. Thanks for watching your truck sounds pretty sweet too
Did you fix the air bag.
340,000 recalls for air bag on 2019 and 2020
haven't got a letter about it yet
The Pacifica has a recall as well
I have two recalls on my 2012 Avenger for airbags. It’s got to be a stupid little sensor part, because I started getting an airbag alert.
I bet the bags would still work fine, but you can’t have that alert popping up intermittently.
I also have a recall dealing with the catalytic. Waiting for the parts to come in.
I cant stand that new turn knob shifter thing these new cars are doing maybe im just to old school.
sorry should have watched the whole vid before comment the auto door unlock is part of the security that never gets informed to anyone sometimes dealers dont know but many years ago i help put some large electronics any way when a stranger pulls the handle your auto unlock wont work to say hey someone or something tripped the security so you need you fob to reset it wont blow the horn or anything like that just a minnor trip
that is not how this system works at all. pull it all you want without the fob, it doesn't effect it at all
You need to review the truck, who cares about the sales person at the dealer you’re not even saying the name of
Great review brother.
I just got my ram 2022 and I'm having the same problem 😒
GMC also chip. I think it's the new enviro paint they all use
Mine does it to 2018 black Silverado
I have a 2018 Ford150 in black and the paint also chips and scratch’s easily.
They now have to use water based paint
Obama paint what a bunch of BS
The dodge windshields are cheap, i had the same thing happen to my Dodge Charger. Small rock and cracked super easy!
Ford f150 has had climate voice control with sync since 2011 in the lariat and higher models. Nothing new
except this isn't god awful SYNC..... it's awful uconnect
LOL!
yeah mine aren't the wrangler they are a touring tire
Steve Fick what cover did you go with. It looks like a retrax. I will be going with BRP boards. Any comments would be appreciated
I would love to get one of that great trucks, i love it since i drove one in the states 2 years ago. But in germany it's nearly impossible, because of the size and gas price :D
you are messing a little bit wit the picture size are you? :) just see a black block through the video.
Great video, i'm looking forward to visit the usa again in the future :)
Thanks for this. Just starting my research for a new Ram. Your insights help! Have a 2007 V6 that has been amazing. Cosmetic stuff broke, but otherwise a solid, solid truck.
I had the same issue with the navigation just the other day. I used Google maps to find a location and after that wanted to switch the Rams nav so I don't need to check my phone every intersection. The address was at a different location and was wrong
Snowcat_srt yeah pretty annoying
