I still love Squeeze ,& I especially love how Paul Carrack sings this song so Beautifully, and I love his voice as the original lead singer on their Awesome song "Tempted". ❤ Paul was only with squeeze in 1984 & again in 1994, & tho I also really like & admire Glenn Tillbrick's lead vocals on Many Squeeze songs, & Chris Diffird's young voice on Cool for Cats and singing low Harmony &/or in unison on many other Squeeze songs,😊 I truly wish Paul had stayed with squeeze for more of their 40-year plus career.
I'm a forever Squeeze fan, and I'm forever surprised at how many U.S. rock fans don't know them. Difford and Tilbrook are among the giants of song-writing duos. Paul Carrack on vocals for this song is a treat, such a great voice he has. I think it's the only song he sang on Some Fantastic Place, the abum they were touting at the time. But that album is IMO one of their best.
Wow what a stellar performance. Love Glenn Tilbrook's wah-wah guitar - every fill is delightful. Saw them at the Beacon probably just before or after this TV appearance.
Just had the privileged of seeing them Dec 2017 at the Paramount. I was a very loyal fan from the beginning but I really burned out on Squeeze in the early nineties. After seeing them recently, I dug out all of my Squeeze CD's and kicked myself for being so neglectful in continuing to follow their career. Purchased everything else since Some Fantastic Place, whihc in my opinion is one of the finest collection of songs every created.
Fabulous, I don't detect any male rivalry between Paul & Glen, just mutual respect and a desire to make a great impact whilst performing on this American show. 🐶
Saw them on the British tour they talk about in the video with this line up in September 1993. An amazing show as always and this is a great performance of this song.

yeah, Squeeze. One of the best from the 90s
I loved this whole album. Paul Carrack's "blue-eyed soul" vocals on this song was the cherry on top.
I love Glenn’s vocal too! Great song. Love this line up for them.
Feels like I'm the only person on the planet who likes Glenn's voice better than Paul's.
I've always loved Paul Carrack....... The Man With The Golden Voice!! (Check out the BBC tv documentary on UA-cam with that exact title)

I missed this episode. Thanks for posting it. Squeeze is awesome!
You're most welcome! Great band, in all of their incarnations. Thank you for taking the time to post a note of thanks, as well :)

You're most welcome! Glad to make another Squeeze fan happy :)
Fabulous!
I had no idea Paul Carrack played with them again. I’m very surprised!
Pete Thomas on drums.
I know.. right.. I love playin' this one and Elvis's "Everyday, I Write the Book". What a great pocket player!
almost 5 years old , and only 39 likes,,,,,,,,,,,,,wow,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Why does Conan keep calling John Lennon 'Glen'?
wonder if glen is playing his guitar too loud on purpose? wonder if he liked having carrack in the band....
its Glenn, not Glen, would you like it if some deadbeat called you Dike, instead of Mike ?
christian...you are funny..a real clown
