Things that would have made my gameplay far more enjoyable, exciting and ultimately allowing me to min-max my characters, so they absolutely crush in endgame. Hopefully this will help you do the same with a lot less headache! See you in Sanctuary.

    For NMD its important to pick tiers that have monsters 10 lvl higher than u to maximize exp. Or high enough that u are comfortably and quickly moving through. I was running BL sorc so able to do 20 lvls higher but after a certain lvl theres no added exp benefit. But NMD is mostly for acquiring new glyphs early on when u dont have as elsewhere lower glyph drops and for glyph leveling. For pure leveling i still prefer Legion event and blood harvest because u get tree of whispers n tons of legendaries. Ive noticed NMD item drops a little less this season, maybe cuz blood harvest drops so much more. Lastly s2 vampric powers are important, you want to run Hemomancy and w that boot aspect u have want to also have metamorphosis. Ravenous and prey on the weak are must have defaults. Later harder nmd you want undying and sanguine if having survivability issues.

      Solid adds!
      10lvl above in NMDs, if it doesn't hurt clear speed. If you slow down too much because of the difficulty you can end up getting less XP over time than the XP gained by the 10 lvls. I also noticed the same with NMD drops and I have seen very few unique drops in NMDs.

    Not one of you streamers ever mentions that there are "type 1" and "type 2" incense. You are able to run one of each type at a time and grant two buffs to you and your team. In groups, coordinate which ones you are using and stack as many buffs as possible to help increase clear speeds.

    Ignore the leveling tier list, just do glyphs. Xp is so much this season, you'll still reach 100 and have glyphs left to level up to 21 regardless.

    Also you can run two incense at a time for a total of 10%. As a primarily solo player, the biggest chunks of XP i get on a new character is a legion event with an elixir and two incense plus the campfire bonus and then a party usually gets made which im pretty sure gives more xp.

    • @mindpyre1189
      @mindpyre1189 7 місяців тому +2

      the experience bonuses of the incenses doesnt stack, which also states in the tooltip of the item : )

    • @OwnModeGaming
      @OwnModeGaming  7 місяців тому

      I honestly never tried to run two incenses. Legion events are solid for leveling all the way through, they are so worth it for XP and the campfire is more XP for sure. Another thing I haven't tested is if being in a group while running the legion events gets an xp bonus.

    • @OwnModeGaming
      @OwnModeGaming  7 місяців тому +1

      The dungeons themselves have the best drop rate. Are you clearing most mobs and doing any dungeon event you find (including cursed chest and shrines)? Also, are you running these dungeons in world tier 3? I have noticed that drop rates increase in higher sigil dungeons. I don't run a ton of dungeons in world tier 3, i usually run enough dungeons to pick up glyphs i need and then I'm focused on helltides and blood harvests to get geared up asap so I can beat the capstone dungeon. I know i'm going to have to regear entirely in world tier 4 so I'm trying to minimize the time in 3 as much as i can. Then in world tier 4 I do mostly dungeons for leveling and glyph leveling and rarely have trouble getting sigils from the dungeons themselves. That all being said let me know the answers to the questions at the top and I'll try to get you a more specific answer. Also, if what wrote above helped then I would love to know that to. Talk to you soon!

      @@OwnModeGaming sigil availability has always been a problem for me. I’m a completionist so I clear out dungeons completely, speed running isn’t an option for me. I always get to WT4 as soon as I can, it’s where ancestral are. I just got my sorc to 100 and just beat Duriel solo last night. I’ve been leveling glyphs and trying to up the gear I’m wearing.
      Part of what I do is salvage any crap sigil I get. I won’t run certain sigil aspects, like death pulse or potion breaker, so I crunch those up. I don’t worry about dungeon layout since I clear them out anyway. The drop rate is really erratic, I’ll pick three or four in some runs and maybe one in another. I chalk it up to my crappy luck…if it were raining diapers, I’d get the one with the shit in it lol. Cheers!

    • @OwnModeGaming

      @@Ender7j When leveling glyphs, I probably crunch 70% of my sigils either because of crap affix or long maps and since I don't need the xp. The glyphs do get spotty but I usually just run any I have until my pool is back, but you're right it is crazy either I'll see maybe one or a ton in a dungeon. I also noticed an odd proportion of the affix I hate showing up on the sigils i craft. For the speed run glyph leveling I hated running lightning storm and drifting shade and the storm one, but i swear one of those rolled 70+% of the time. Cheers to you, my friend!

  • @rogerh2694
    @rogerh2694 7 місяців тому +1

    With how mobile the Sorc or Rogue is, don't really have a problem w/ Drifting Shade. If it starts to catch up, just circle around it to let it execute, then evade away. I dunno, I find some the dungeon affixes just add more dynamics to the game in a challenging way. Loved speed running, but that also gets old and want to start using your tools strategically.

    • @OwnModeGaming
      @OwnModeGaming  7 місяців тому

      Yeah, that makes sense. I think you need to always call it, for what you enjoy. I don't enjoy the stop and go nature of some affixes, so I don't do them very often.

I also have a video about starting an alt if you want to check that out, you'll also get to see my crazy beard.

  • @rollcageuk

    You should stick to doing dungeons for the Glyphs or pushing.
    If you want to lvl in s2 the best way is to do helltides or the bloodzone.
    You get a bucket load of exp from opening helltide chests as well as completing favours for the tree.
    At to this doing world bosses and legion events, all of these are much quicker.
    And all of these give you items to summon the sub-bosses(durial,tir etc)
    Also worth noting that in the bloodzone, the best events to do are the syphons. They continually do damage to you but the longer you are in the area the mobs keep spawning at an increased rate. Loads of exp and items. The syphons look like the rescue icons on the map but they aren't.

    • @OwnModeGaming
      @OwnModeGaming  7 місяців тому

      I still found that NMDs were still faster for leveling but ultimately I think that the helltides and blood harvests are a lot for fun and rewarding. I found with the glyphs that by the time you do enough NMDs to level the glyphs to even 15, I had the level 100 in the bag. I was running NMDs about 20-30 monster levels higher than mine, which might of been enough of an experience jump to make that happen.

    • @rollcageuk
      @rollcageuk 7 місяців тому +1

      @@OwnModeGaming I suppose it all comes down to personal preference and what you need. It probably does not make a huge difference in the grand scheme. Ultimately you have to do all these areas, either for levelling, getting mats or lvling glyphs, so best to do what you feel the most happy doing as you are going to hit 100 easily anyway.

    What is the optimal Monster level for max XP gain?

    • @OwnModeGaming
      @OwnModeGaming  7 місяців тому +1

      I aim for at least 3 monster levels higher to start then keep increasing as my build comes together. This season I'm usually in the range of 15-25 monster levels higher by the time I hit level 80. I have heard people talk about an optimal level but this season the bigger concern is getting those glyphs leveled (at least to 15) before you hit 100, so as long as you are clearing quickly keep bumping that monster level as high as you can. You can test this by timing yourself on the same dungeon, if the completion time stays close to what you were seeing at lower levels and you are not dying often then move up to that monster level.

    The advice about map affixes is something I started doing on my own almost immediately. Started playing 2 weeks or so ago so this is on my first level 100 char.
    For me it's simple. Sigil has storm, death pulse or shadow thing? Salvage! Not worth the annoyance. And last few days I started also just insta-salvage when I get a lightning resist sigil as well (playing a bl sorc) because that's just a dumb waste of time - almost double the time for no good reason.
    Well I also try to avoid spiders... Even with maxed out poison resist they just seem to do damage no matter what. No attack anim you can avoid, no move. nothing.
    "Spider exists... You are damaged." Great. Great. Love it. LOL
    Cool vid. Cheers!

      Thats awesome! You definitely hit on my least favorite. Getting that time down makes such a difference in how the whole game feels. I remember before season 1 getting a 4 to 6min clear was often. This season, with the changes they made, you can get a 1-2min clear on some, like Belfry and Ghoa. It's insane!

      @@glenmcl I’m very educated on the best builds entering AoZ. There are ZERO HoTA barbs using flickerstep and very FEW sorcs using flickerstep. It is clear as day Barb is currently sitting comfy at #1 strongest build entering AoZ. If you deny this fact you are simply delusional or biased towards your main. Having said that. Druid will be a close second and “possibly” pass Barb if the glyph double dips and works the way we think it will given blizzard doesn’t do any shadow nerfs on launch day. Continuing on, I have 4/5 classes at 100 for S2 and plan on having a 5th. I have done hundreds upon hundreds of T100 quad carries and Uber Lilith quad carries. I would guess well over 1000hrs played since launch. I would be willing to bet I know more than you about Diablo 4 mechanics. What’s good, what sucks. What builds are S tier and what builds are not. I say all this to absolutely decimate your lackluster accusation of “get educated” son, I’m the teacher not the student.
