I have looked at all of those too Adam. Either they were super expensive, hard to install, used weird power, didn't have the features I want, or something else. I never found one I liked there, so this seems to fit all the requirements. Consider using my affiliate link if you get one 😊
Wow its pretty big , colleague grabbed an $90.00 chinese special off Ebay 6 months ago , low profile includes key pad , solid metal construction, easy install and works with automation systems. He said apparently its working well.

No, it doesn't allow just any NFC card it seems. I tried with my Unifi NFC card, and it wouldn't accept it. And you would need to then pair the guest phone with the keypad, which makes it kinda defeat the purpose of contactless checkin. Yes, I have integrity and respect other people, so wouldn't use that rubbish.
@@LarsKlintTech ah boo thanks for trying. Can you use NFC on your phone to unlock it though? (Was thinking that would be great when I go out without my keys if I didn't have to open home assistant/switchbot app to unlock it)

to get it to sync to home assistant via bluetooth do you have to have your raspberry pi within range of the lock im guessing?

I believe you can change the pin in Home Assistant with some Schlage and Yale locks.
Can’t say I would get this. However when the unifi ptz g5 is available (although more chance of getting hens teeth).
Keep checking the store. They come into stock regularly, but sell out super fast.
How long did batteries last?
I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but the marketing says 9 months. That is one bank of batteries , so you then have time to replace them.
