I like to say this a lot about this era of gaming but it truly is the Timeless Era. Started playing at the age of 9 on my dads PC and now play it on my own PC at the age of 21. Such good memories
Damn the nostalgia is so strong. I remember sitting on Donner 24/7 servers when I was a squeaker.
Man, they really don't make games like this anymore. I would spend HOURS upon HOURS playing this shit when I got home from school. The days of living rent free, bill free, and (unknown to me at the time) stress free. Goddamn I miss it.
All I remember was playing this game until my brain went numb on an old ass computer as a kid. A lot of all nighter’s. Really ahead of its time. It paved the way for a lot of other great online FPS’s.

This is easily the most underrated & under-appreciated Online PVP FPS of all-time. The amount of time I spent pub-starring on this game back in the day was ridiculous.

@@Drazog Playing both Enlisted and Hell Let Loose and I love them both but I think HLL takes the cake because of how gritty and immersive it is in my opinion.
Day of Infamy (which is just a really good fan remake of DOD and DODS) is a really good ww2 game. however, the game died out and only has 55 players left..
It's aged really well. It still looks good in 2022. The gun mechanics were very satisfying. I wasted years playing this and the first one. I would often stay up all night playing it and attempt to maximize my playtime as much as possible so that I could get completely into it. I would only stop for a smoke while maps were loading. Night times were the best for me because I live in the UK and the custom servers in the US would get busy in the late evening. It was great playing with friends online. We formed a clan called "SBS". The 'Kustom Kettle' server would host new maps every week, so there were always new environments to explore. Some of the custom maps were brilliant. Apart from some racism from the "more challenged" US gamers, the online community was generally very friendly, chatty, and fun to play with.

Had so much fun playing this when I was younger. Every once in a while I still run a few games, it holds up remarkably well.

I was in love with the iron sights of the rifle's . I was playing on the Russian servers and it was so much fun with the crazy old dude's of Russia. Always crazy and almost always drunk on the microphone 😁

I had it from a big valve pack I bought ages ago, never touched it (cause it wasn’t as big as counter strike and half life) until now where I’m just installing it, it looks quite good 😊

the game is for online play, you can also play a cracked game but you have few active non steam servers

I played the no steam version for a long time, but you only have a couple of active servers, so it's better to buy it on steam :D
