Thank you, thank you, thank you from Sunny Southern California - well, Arizona in this one. One of the things I love about the tech we have access to - being able to share across long distances on this little planet we live on!! 🙏🤗💖
Scott!!!!! Best time to go, at least to Paton is July/August during monsoon season according to them. April is supposed to be good as well is what they told me when I was there so I am going back in April 23, 24. However, there are many places to shoot there. The Sweetwater wetlands park I want to go back to at that time as well so I may stay longer. If you go any other time, please let me know - would love to meet you out there. And as of right now, still debating a Washington trip in January - I REALLY want to photography eagles..... and owls!! 🙏🤗💖
This was only day one!!! I was at the lake later in the day and will be working on that video shortly, then a second day there as well. Just such a fantastic place to shoot. More to see than you can imagine. See you next weekend!! 🙏💖🤗
Those are beautiful hummingbirds. I don't know when I will get a chance, maybe next year during the monsoon season, but I need to go down there. Or, the last week of April.
Jeff - Patagonia is a really neat LITTLE town. there is camping at Patagonia Lake about 12 miles down the road. They have regular camping and cabins you can rent for glamping - still and outhouse though. I stay in Tucson as it is cheaper and I really love the early morning 60 mile drive. It was beautiful during the monsoon rains with the thunder and lightning. I will be there in April and will let you know my dates, then in late August for monsoon. There are other places there to shoot hummingbirds as well, but I was happy with the diversity in that little space. When every you go, let me know and I will meet you out there. 🙏💖🤗
Hey Jonny, Nice video. Have you ever visited the Kern River Preserve near Kernville? I’m thinking of giving it a try since I live an hour and a half from it.
One thing hummingbirds are attracted to red color so when i go to photograph them i always try to wear a red tshirt or shirt. Seems to work they get very close to me :)
@@JonnyPink65 ive heard it from a zoology teacher who was talking to school kids at kennerh hahn park - he said they think you are a flower when u wear red :)
@@DmitryBrodsky007 Makes sense and thank you for that. I will get a red shirt and wear it the next time I go out to Hahn. I will wear one when I am out at Paton next time too. I will give it a try. 🤗💖
