Than you, thank you Phil. There are actually 3 different types out there according to my friend Toni. There are two different types of Snowies and yes you did see the great egret. We all have different needs from photography some do it for a living, l do it for enjoyment and up until now every camera l have owned including the R6ii has had something that frustrates me but the R5ii is the first camera l can shoot with and totally enjoy the outing. Up until now it is the actual tech that has irritated me because you just could not quite set it up to get the most from it but this camera has the customisation to make the camera work to it's potential, no it is not perfect but Canon now have a camera that is a joy to use.
That is awesome. When I get something new no matter the system, I try to work around what does not work for me and just make the best of it. What is your favorite lens with the R5 Mark II? 🙏🤗💖
@@JonnyPink65 The favourite lens l own is the RF135mm 1.8 but the lens that is always on my R5ii is the 200/800 with a 1.4 teleconverter, soft images?? No l don't think so.
@@isotechimages.9130 Awesome. This lens on this body has been the most impressed I have been with it - great combo. I will have to try it with a 1.4 extender sometime for a bit more reach but in truth, 800mm for me is my favorite focal length.. A little more will be fun. My favorite lens is the 100-500 but it a little short so I keep the 1.4 on it.💖
Thank you, thank you. I think that Canon has some amazing bodies and lenses. One of my favorites was the R8 and I am looking at Canon's refurbished section - I dont need it but i got some great images with it and the AF was awesome. Looking at it on my second screen as I am sitting replying. Thank you for letting me share. 🙏🤗💖
It is. As it gets later in the day, I bring it down. And if I am shooting the white birds like egrets, I bring it down a little lower. Does not always work but I use that to preserve some highlights. Years ago when shooting DSLRs, I would bring it UP when shooting in low light or in the rain. Some may say I was wrong to do that, but it worked for me. Since I shoot these day in auto ISO and let the camera decide the correct exposure based on my shutter and aperture, I want to have a little more control on the highlights. I personally would rather under expose a little and keep the highlights. It is what works for me. 🙏🤗💖

This has really thrown me. If you had asked me a week ago - three weeks ago, i would not have hesitated and I would have said the 100-500 all day long. But this paring has really really impressed me. I will be shooting hummingbirds again next week in Arizona and this is the rig I will have. I will also have the 100-500 on the R7 for super close up shots but this one..... I have found a new favorite combo for me. And I was about to sell the 200-800!!! 🙏💖🤗
Thank you, thank you. I would never put myself into that category but thank you. I am someone with passion that I hope comes through in everything I do. I put my heart into it and I can not thank you enough for letting me share with you!! 🙏🤗💖
Surprisingly.. it is the best body I have used it on at all focal ranges. The 200-800 I have found to be limiting in that I will only use it on a full frame body. In the correct light, it was good on other bodies, but so far, I am blown away with what I am getting using this combo. Working on a low light beach video right now and I was impressed. So much so that when i go back to Paton in a week to shoot hummingbirds, this time is is going to me my main set up. For me, the two seem to pair really well.... even at 800mm. When I shoot an zoom, I tend to shoot it at the max focal length 99% of the time. 🙏🤗💖
