This is the second time Roman’s gone all the way to New York, gone to Ariel, and wasted his time 😂 he wants to get in on the districts hype so badly but he’s an outsider. Also 1800 for that panerai is an insulting offer, offloading your expenses to the seller, half of which are done in house by staff to justify lowballing like that is ridiculous.
@@RL-ww5ev if you have an in house watchmaker doing your service you’re not paying per service you have them on salary. A strap for a watch supposedly worth 1800 is not 1700 dollars (the difference in the market price and the offer price). I can do simple math.
The Strap argument is also invalid because a "sweaty" rubber strap is literally the easiest issue to solve and even if you insist on replacing the band, it is a couple of hundred maximum.
Vis a vis that Panerai deal. $1k profit on $1800 purchase is excellent. New cars net only a couple K profit. Good to remember when negotiating your next watch purchase. There’s plenty of room to move.
Please take this in the right way, “Unique” means being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else. Most of these watches are mass produced and in no way unique. This won’t put me off watching these videos, love the content. 👏🏼👏🏼

With accused of low balling, all though your costs are your costs. It does look like your organisation has massive overheads, which the customer subconsciously knows they're going to have to pay for all those square footage in the building, staffing for video filming and editing. Where someone who walks in a reputable street shop front wouldn't have anywhere near the extra cost that inevitably needs to be passed on to make that deal.
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the amzwatch has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.

Love how they're using an extreme case to dispute how they lowball collectors. I've also tried selling a like new complete modern VC overseas to them, they offered me the lowest price from any other dealer I reached out to, like 4.5k less than my next worst offer. Stopped wasting my time reaching out to LB to offer anything ever again. What they also don't realize is that by lowballing collectors they alienate us from ever wanting to buy from them too. My experience was not with Alex though, who seems to at least make some educational communication effort with the customer. The previous dude who was handling buying never bothered answering anything.

Post a white paper of how you come to your prices and post on your website. You'll no longer need to explain and sellers/ customers now has visibility. Also have a form on the website when you fill out details of the watch they're trying to sell and an estimated price range is shared (ie. KBB).

When they were talking about views and popularity i finally get why everyone hates Vookum and Buckley. They hate that a kid came out the blue and blew up soo quick that everyone had to talk down on him , just because he gets soo many views and followers smh. And Buckley been doing this for years has a dial named after him which no one really does
So you bought a dj for 2000, then paid 750 for service and lets put the costs up to 3000 with shipping etc. Then you list it for 4 995. Its almost 40% margin or 65% mark up however you want to call it. You have high margins while you cry you dont make any money on rolexes
He said after negotiations, they will sell for about 4,000. Their list price is not the final price. This is a very typical margin for watch dealers, if you don’t like it, sell it yourself. People have no idea how the watch market works, but yet everyone is an expert on social media.

Its is actually worse than that...the watch will not be serviced to the tune of $750. Why would it need service for such a high price if it is working correctly??? They can see if it can be set correctly and if its in working order when they get it. Why would it need a service after that??? It won't even be opened up to make sure its authentic because that is a problem they can fix later if it ever was the case especially with something so cheap that costs $1800 for them. They will also not change the strap unless it absolutely needs changing. Those are just points they use to lowball offers coming in so that they can make maximum profits on the resale. Alex said they change all straps on used watches but I do not believe that one bit. A client could have owned a watch for years and worn it a handful of times. Does that mean they will change the strap just because it is preowned??? Yeah right.

40 percent is not a high markup. And it’s not a easy sale. They talk all the risk buying then having to sell it. Pay commissions and have overhead.
A Rolex you can get paid about 90 percent of what it’s worth if it’s one that sells fast.
