I removed the back myself and unkinked the cable as some have suggested, still nothing. I was despairing about buying a top of the line lemon! Then found this video. Thank you sir.
Thank you, thank you. I have had this problem not only with my two three-month-old, exactly-the-same, purchased-same-day, LG televisions but with the two aged Vizios they replaced. After literally years of calls to the manufacturers' service centers (doing everything they told me to) and probably a dozen Comcast service house-calls which, in spite of their replacing the cable from the street to the house and a variety of new modems and new modem-router units, produced no improvements but only very frustrated-progressing-to-surly service-folk, EUREKA! your video changed everything! No dropped signal in at least the last two weeks. Thank you again, or did I already say that? Probably needless to add, I was ready to shoot the two new LGs and the Comcast equipment, but I have only water pistols. And how is it that neither LG nor Comcast had a clue about such a simple fix?
Had a similar issue w/ WiFi connectivity when I changed my WiFi password. It would connect to the 2.4ghz network but not the 5ghz network. It was clearly caching the old password somewhere. I went to settings -> general and turned off quick start+ Then, powered the tv off and unplugged it from the wall for 5 minutes. When I restarted, I was able to enter the new password and it connected to the 5ghz network without issue. Sharing this here because this was one of the first results I saw in search results when troubleshooting.

Me neither!! Any luck finding a solution? I’ve followed all suggestions online
Mine simply would not work after changing the countries. We had to pull out old tine Ethernet.

Cristian Ghervasia thanks a lot but this was a year ago 😂, it’s sorted now 😋👍🏽
Ooooooh men you really save me, I owe you 1 cold beer
OMG, I tried this on an old LG TV and it worked! LG tech support always insisted it was my internet service even though the WI-FI worked on my phone & laptop. Frustrated, I gave up and purchased a new TV. I wonder how often this occurs and if it’s intentional by LG. Thanks again
still works in 2019!
Works for me December 1 2019
i have an lg oled and after my wifi had just died i managed to reconnect it and it was working on every device except for my tv. i was worried about trying this trick and changing the settings however your trick absolutely saved my tv and it instantly reconnected! thank you!!
Thank you so much I was so sad that my tv was “broken”
