The fact you’re better than LG customer service is blowing my mind. Thank you so much man. Soon as I plugged it in it started updating which let me know it worked.
I was very skeptical that this would fix my connection problem, because I had this TV for 3+ years and hadn't had any problems before. Then suddenly my connection would drop or I just couldn't connect at all (would show no available networks). This started occurring every time I tried to stream something. But after watching this video, I took the back off the TV, and sure enough all the wires that he shows had big crimps in them. I straightened them the best I could and (knock on wood) I haven't had any issues since. Amazing hack. Thank you!
Man. This worked like magic. After trying everything over the last 2 years, I barely touched the cables in the back and it started working again. Amaaaazing.

Y'all, this actually works! My husband did NOT want to take the TV off the wall but I talked him into it. We un-crimped the wires and now the wifi works. Thank you S P F!

Thank you so much for this video. I’ve had my LG 55” for a couple years and over time the WiFi connection got increasingly worse. I switched WiFi providers, increased my speed, but the problem persisted. Last night I decided to search what UA-cam had to offer by way of solutions and I ran across your video and 1 more like it. LG is disgusting… used to love the brand but NEVER again. The fact that they tell us to bring receipt and take it to their dealer instead of walking us through how to fix this. They are aware of this universal malfunction. Ban LG!!!!

This is crazy but THIS WORKED. I have a LG 55" tv and could not get the Wifi past the Not Connected stage. I spent a total of 5 hours on the phone with LG Lifes Good, Netflix and Spectrum and got no where. Searched the heck out of the internet only to come up with nothing. Came across this video and while I was reluctant to pull the back off the tv thinking there is no way a bent wire can actually be the problem, I did it and found the bent wire. Straightened it out and BOOM the TV found my wifi connection. I cant thank you enough (neither can my wife) This was a huge level of frustration you solved for me. Thanks SO much.

If anyone is contemplating doing this or getting a new TV, DO THIS!!! I just did about 5 minutes ago and so far so good. Longest my TV has stayed connected in months, thank you thank you thank you!!!!! My advice is to use a flat head screw driver to pry open the back of the TV (actually way harder than it seems), and also use knife or box opener to remove tape that tapes the wires together, causing them to bend.

We have been wrestling with the Wifi disconnection issue for months, but now it was getting impossible to connect at all. We tried all the other options suggested by LG (unplugging, rebooting Wifi, etc.) but nothing worked satisfactorily. We were afraid to attempt taking the TV off our wall and taking the back of the TV off as we had read about, but your video was very easy to see, understand taking away our fear. I watched your video and thought to myself yeah right... not gonna fix my problem.. but I had nothing to lose... I have had wifi and connection problems with this tv since I bought it. They have been on and off and it sometimes works sometimes doesn't. I didn't think that this would fix it at all. As soon as I straightened the wires and powered the tv back on everything loaded instantly. I have always had a loading bar... always. Thanks so much for this! This is literally the ONLY video I’ve found that had the same issues as my tv. Right before this I tried contacting customer support and nothing they suggested worked and they were tryna get me to pay someone to repair it. Your video was short, straight to the point and literally took me a few minutes to fully fix the issue without me having to pay an arm an leg having someone else fix. I feel like Bob the Builder right now lol.

I had to do this same this except I didn't have to straighten out the wires, I just reconnected the wifi cable into the motherboard. Unplug it then plug it back in and it worked when I started it back up, almost instantly.
Issue fixed in less than an hour. Been trying to fix this issue for years. Its

You’re a god among men! If you’ve tried the unplug and re plug, and factory resetting your tv, you’ll be happy to be able to input all your passwords again after opening it up and unkinking the Wi-Fi wires to get it working again, you’re great, thank you for the tutorial 😎✌🏼
I'm floored...I can't believe this TV...I did just as you said man. Pulled off the back flattened out cables and unplugged, very carefully the cable from the main board to the wifi module. Reconnected it and put all back together works like a champ! Thank you!

Bro I was about 6sec. till self-destruct and I was tossing the TV. Watched 12 videos all telling me what I know. Then I came across your video and I herd something I haven't heard from the other videos , "take the back cover off." I knew I was gonna get somewhere now! Flatten the ribbon wire out to have a continuous flow to it. BAM! Found my Network. Thanks dude!

I spent 3 hours trying to fix this issue, resetting the router, manually entering network names, uplugging the TV, factory resetting the TV and so on. After finding this video, it took me just over 5 minutes to fix this issue. Thanks!

I had the same issue with WiFi and Screen Share issues. I fixed the wires as you instructed, updated the TV a to my amazement, everything works fine. Thank you so much for sharing and shame on you LG for knowing the flaw so we can buy TVs after a few years.
Dude, you helped fix my TV. Ive checked multiple different videos and nothing worked and came across yours and decided why not. I straightened(flattened) the two different connections and it finally connected after years of trying to figure this out(UH6100). The one thing I noticed was how sloppy the wires were put in running all over eachother unnecessarily in weird directions. Thank you so much man!

Nothing worse than having your wifi turn off in the middle of a PPV fight! This is the real fix!!! Tried that location BS and nothing, tried this and BOOM!!! Works works works!!! I did it on my 70” tv so it was a little different but just follow the wires right under the LAN port! Thank you so much!!! God bless!
Dude you’re a life saver. I had this TV in my sons room and this was the only thing that work. The cables were super bent once I put straight them out it worked.

Thanks for this video. I managed to fix my lg sk8100pla. It actually fixed three issues with my LG smart tv. 1. the sound used to drop out when watching videos via my usb hard drive. 2. I can now connect to the tv by wifi. 3. My remote control on screen pointer is no longer disconnecting.
So this was happening to me and has been for about a year, even when I was connecting through Ethernet was still connecting and disconnected. I rang LG and they said £149 for the repair. I’ve just done this literally took me 10min and now it’s fully working!!! Thank you sooo much! 🎉

My tv has been like this for over 3 years. I have a LG webos tv uj6300 and i heard it was several $100 to get it repaired. I gave up on the Tv until I saw this video. It's a life saver and actually worked. The wires where it connected were still bent but the ones I fixed restored wifi. It's just ridiculous and thats that I had to take off the complete back casing. This started happening to my TV earlier this week and after looking up a bunch of methods (turning off quick start, changing your location, reset to initial settings) this was the only method that worked for me. Thanks a bunch!
3 year old video, BUT IT FUCKING WORKED!!! Pulled the back off. The Wi-Fi wires were taped very tightly together with this hard blue tape. The wires were bent at the Wi-Fi plug. I used precision scissors to carefully cut the blue tape off. Once the wires were separated I smoothed them out. I put everything back together and IT FUCKING WORKED! HOLY SHIT! You made me a happy man. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

YOU FIXED IT. That was it. I unbent the cables, and now my 55" LG OLED works flawlessly. It was so bad my remote couldn't even connect because both WiFi and Bluetooth was borked. Now both are working again. THANK YOU.
Great video and fixed my problem o a 5 yr. old 65 inch. I couldn't believe that it was so simple. Couple of hints. Do take the legs off before taking off the back. Mine refused to release until I removed the legs and then it was totally free. The modem module is located at the very bottom (center) of the tv. It's covered with a plastic cover. Take the cover off to get a good look at the crimps in the ribbon cable. I am really in awe of this quick fix. Thank you Edward for making it. It probably saved me $200 + for a service call and part which was not needed.

I was having this same issue starting yesterday. It got worse the more I tried to stay connected. I did what you showed in this video. The only other thing I did was remove the connector from the wifi module and clean the connections as well as un kicking the wires. So far so good! Thanks for this!

The LG customer service is bulshit, they came to check the TV once, without open the TV to check what happened inside, and then few days after the call and tell me that I have to replace the wifi system which cost 32$.
Thought your solution was lunacy but after trying every other "fix," I told my gf that I'd give yours a try and if it doesn't work then it's time for a new TV. 24 screws later and we are back in business! No idea how you figured out this solution but very glad you did! Liked, commented and subscribed.
