sadly none of these fixes worked for me. tv still won't generate the wifi list. but reading through the comments I noticed someone said their FireStick still worked - sure enough my firestick works. the factory reset turned on a really annoying voice activation - now I have to google and figure out how to turn that off. lol
@@Msharifichannel no. apparently it's a problem with LG tv's. it can't be fixed. I spoke with LG and it basically came down to them sending a repairman over (at my expense) - it would have cost roughly the same as me buying a new TV. on the plus side I can access everything if I use the firestick - it was a less expensive work around.

CHEAP FIX FOR PEOPLE WITH FAULTY WIFI CARD IN ANY SMART TV. Cheaper than getting a new wifi module fitted, just buy a budget or low end brand name wifi range extender. Setup range extender as usual but connect a computer to extender via ethernet cable and disable the extenders wifi sharing so you don't have unwanted hot spots. Then just connect extender to TV via ethernet cable. Works great.
LG sent a guy to my house today to fix the problem. I have a 49UK7550PTA model and the guy told me that the problem with older LG's like mine (late 2018 in my case) is caused by a connector on the end of a ribbon cable that attaches to the green circuit board. When the TV gets hot, things expand sufficiently for the connector to get a bit loose, and the poor contact is why the TV loses its WiFi connection. He just swapped the whole cable and connector out for a newer one with a different design that is not subject to the expansion problem. All good now. For anyone in Australia: you can get this done even if your TV is out of the guarantee period - as mine is - because you're protected by Aussie consumer law. Just get on the online chat with LG support and they'll send someone out.
This works, but I have to keep it on Canada in order to connect to WIFI. I lose all the LG Channels. I try switching it back to USA (to get all the LG Channels), and it disconnects. Sometimes I cannot even see my WIFI listed. It just disappears. The connections and disconnections happen randomly for some reason.

I did all of these things, total reset being the last and my TV still cannot find my wifi. All other devises in my home are connected to the WiFi... It's only the TV that is having problems 😕
To anyone looking to date, LG tvs can only run 2.4ghz of wifi, it will not stay connected to any router running 5ghz. If able, access your broadband app and pause the 5ghz so you can reconnect entirely the wifi I.E. remove it completely and reconnect using the password. It will now work perfectly!

I agree I got this tv few years ago after a update it started giving me issues . I was using a direct connection to back of the tv no issues but then i decided to try wifi and yes started to disconnect from wifi again 😡😠. Samsung or Sony will be next tv 📺.
The WiFi card may need to be replaced . Call LG and see if your tv still has a warranty on it, if so, they will contact a tech in your area to go to your house and fix the TV. I am still having this same problem , even after the tech came out and replaced the card 5 months ago. At this point I wonder if there has been some sort of a recall on LG’s TVs.
@@niyahp9136 yeah, got an lg sj800v from 2017 and this problem started after about 1 year. Tried everything and nothing works for long. Factory reset works for a few days and then it’s the same. Talked to a lot of friends and a lot of them are having the same problem with there TVs. Don’t know if this problem is still there on newer models but I’m not exactly positive towards lg. Thinking of upgrading but will probably go for Samsung this time. To bad since the current lg oleds looks to be good. But don’t want to end up the same way with another lg tv

@@niyahp9136 actually I might have fixed it! Found a UA-cam video. Remove the back of the tv and locate the network card. Remove it and disconnect the connector and try removing dust. Mine wasn’t really that dirty but removed it and connected it again. Now it’s working... just hope this is the solution.
I would have done that in a different order: 1. Turn on - wait a min - turn off. 2. Change Location 3. Factory Reset ^ however none of these worked for me. I think something is wrong with my wife hardware directly so I might have to get a new one.

I tried all 3 as well and none helped.....so, your only option is to buy a firestick or some other device that acts as the wifi. I had an old firestick that made it work.

I just went to Time and Date, changed it to manual instead of automatic. Then on "Advanced Wifi Setting" I choose the turn "ON" IP option and it fixed my issue immediately without having to reset location.
Best soultion is to never buy a LG tv again

Happened to me too. Reset initial setting and still won't connect to my wifi. Makes sense. I Might as well just get a new TV at this point.

I lost the control to my LG WEB OS TV and the only button on it is the power button there are no other buttons anywhere else help
