Of the parks I did with Coaster Crew on this trip, Liseberg was easily the best. Excellent atmosphere, great theming, and awesome operations. Balder was a great coaster to hit 400 on! Balder ended up being my most ridden coaster of the whole Europe trip with 32 laps!
I wish I could go overseas on a coaster trip. A few problems for me are 1) money (I'm not poor, but it would be a challenge to pry the money from my bank account.) 2) I have never bothered even getting a passport 3) leaving town for more than about 5 days is impossible for me. No one wants to take care of 50 animals that aren't even theirs. Animals include, but not limited to, horses, cows, pigs, chickens, a couple goats, my daughters bunnies, my sons snake, and 2 bison. 4) I've got to pay for 6 people if all of our kids come which they have to. Can't leave them home alone for more than a few hours or I may come home to 3 or 2 children instead of 4. They may also band together, and overrun the neighbor kids so I may end up with 7, but 3 of them being tied up in the barn or something. There's probably more, but this should get the point across.😂
By far the best park of the trip! So many great rides and an amazing guest friendly atmosphere! Helix and Lisebergbanen were my two favorite coasters of the whole trip!!! I think I rode both at least 15 times over the two days we had there, including about 9 rides on Lisebergbanen back to back at night. Also Balder's airtime was chef's kiss.🙌
Most of the area around Balder is themed after norse mythology. Also the reason Kanonen was remowed is because it was so unreliable and because Gothenburgs temperature fluctuations it broke down even more, it simply could not continue operating so it is great that it found a new home.
According to the book "Roller Coaster" by Scott Rutherford, in an interview with Anton Schwarzkopf, he considered Lisebergbanan to be his finest creation. Just something about the coaster I found interesting.
To clarify, that was not a oreo wheel but a marabou chocholat with oero bits and fillings. Also Balder does not mean buttocks, Balder is one of the aesir from norse mythology, same as Thor, Loki and odin are from.
I'm curious to see where Balder will rank in your top 50! When I went to Liseberg a few years ago, Balder was unfortunately under maintenance... Great vlog, had fun seeing your opinions on all of the rides!
Awesome to see how much you liked the rides here! It's such a fantastic park. Did you ever get to do the scare maze? We thought it was one of the absolute best attractions there 🔥
One of my favorites parks. They have accomplished both being beautiful and have a great landscaping with a small but terrific lineup of coasters. Did you miss the haunted house? It has a fantastic comedy horror atmosphere I thought Lisebergbanan was a Schwarzkopf. It’s a hell of a ride for such a family coaster.
I was going to say Chris has managed to avoid a mile long march into the park on the roads and and then realises that instead he has a half mile walk through the coaster lines and queues of terror for the family dark rides.... Also wow Intamin prefab with no a gap. Is it possible for there to be almost to much airtime because that feels like a ride which might get to that point!
These vlogs are awesome. I hope you get to go to different countries each summer in the future. If you can swing it financially. Want to see that 1000th credit!
Never heard anyone using balder as a word for buttocks. :) Balder is a god in norse mythology, as is Loke (the spinny disc ride thing). A valkyria (or valkyrie) is also a norse mythology creature, and the whole area around those rides are viking/norse inspired.
Some European parks staple you and others do not even check your restraints ;-) Next time you go to Euope, check out the rest of Europe, haha! In the Netherlands Efteling has some great darkrides, Walibi has some great coasters and Toverland is home to a great wing coaster! Belgium is even better with Ride to Happiness, Fury and Kondaa... But Germany will really beef up the coastercount!
I have no idea why balder was translated to buttocks, it is either old swedish or google translate being google translate and I mean translating something completely wrong.
In terms of calling Balder El Toro's little brother, I think that title should go to Colossus at Heide Park. PS: Balder was the son of Frigg and Odin. Love Liseberg myself it's such a pretty park.
Video title has me wondering what kind of damage a Benelux/Germany/Poland trip could do to your top 50. Goliath, Kondaa, Ride to Happiness, Karnan, Novgorod, Zadra, Untamed, FLY, Mamba, Hyperion, GeForce, Colossos, Lech, Taron, Abyssus, Voltron Nevera looks promising, maybe the tilt coaster going to Energylandia and the duelling raptors going to Walibi Holland, even some dark horse candidates like Anubis, Lost Gravity, Wodan, Joris, Silver Star, Blue Fire...
I met Josh the guy that was infront of you in the line for helix I meet him I was at fun spot Atlanta and we ride Aeriforce one together like 5 times he’s such a great dude 5:24
Oh yeah, Aerieforce One was amazing. This was a truly great year for east coast coaster fans. Aerieforce One AND Wildcat's Revenge in one year? Hell yeah!
Buy or sell: we will see a RMC t-rex in 5-6 years and fun fact lisebergbanan was a coaster made by both Zierer and Schwarzkopf zierer made the trains and Anton made the track it was also Anton’s favorite coaster
Major sell. T-Rex is the most overhyped model in history. They said they could go 400-500 feet, not that they would lol. And people make 700 foot Trex ideas It’s not even on RMCs website lol. It’s just not practical for a park. Especially with how many issues the more practical Raptors have… like no, it’s not happening, people should stop asking youtubers the same question though. It’s a very intriguing model but vastly overhyped in my opinion.
That's a really good time! In our case at Balder there is no verify, so we had a joy of a time. During normal operation on Balder if a row was empty they just left the lap bars up!
@@Thrills_And_Chills_WQAQ Yes! er, um, speaking hypothetically of course 😁 I learned when it comes to modern rides. Having a verify is an option that a park can choose to purchase with their ride, or not purchase with their ride. You had me at “Disney but with crazy coasters.” That sounds like my dream park.
Basically, Universal.
Phantasialand, Liseberg, and Europa Park are all that way. Europe does the theme + thrill SO MUCH BETTER than the usa
Most of the names on these rides are actually old Nordic gods and figures! Loke, Balder, Valkyria
Yeah Liseberg has definitly started to theme itself more and more.
sadly the ociana burnt down earlier this year so all your footage is about all that you can found of the inside of ociana. Thanks for showing us :)
5:00 Balder is a old Norse God and son of Odin.
Great to see you had a great time at my home park! BTW Balder is the name of one of the old Norse gods.
Most of the area around Balder is themed after norse mythology. Also the reason Kanonen was remowed is because it was so unreliable and because Gothenburgs temperature fluctuations it broke down even more, it simply could not continue operating so it is great that it found a new home.
Very glad you enjoyed my N1 Helix! It's such an experience with how long a ride it is, as well as the queue and its soundtrack.
Congrats on finally making it to the park! The lineup looks awesome
According to the book "Roller Coaster" by Scott Rutherford, in an interview with Anton Schwarzkopf, he considered Lisebergbanan to be his finest creation. Just something about the coaster I found interesting.
Interesting because i thought the layout was kinda pedestrian albeit a great terrain setting

Very impressive.
Helix: A legendary soundtrack and a legendary ride. Fonix: Legendary winds and legendary buzzkill.
Great to see you make it to Liseberg. I had a few days there earlier this year, a fantastic park.
I'm curious to see where Balder will rank in your top 50!

Two great days at an awesome park. I thoroughly enjoyed getting laps with you on Balder. Great video as always!
Liseburg really looks like a fantastic park.
Great video! Great park! I really enjoyed watching! Great to see you had a good time!
Valkyria, Helix, & Balder. The trio of Liseberg
I actually think i prefer lisebergbanan as the 3rd
Airtime Thrills predicted that Liseberg would indeed blow up!
Chris is at the top of my list of coaster youtubers who would be most fun to visit a park with
Awesome to see how much you liked the rides here! It's such a fantastic park. Did you ever get to do the scare maze? We thought it was one of the absolute best attractions there 🔥
Nope scare mazes are not my jam, i took a photo lap while the guys went there

I thought Lisebergbanan was a Schwarzkopf. It’s a hell of a ride for such a family coaster.
Looks like the best park of the trip for you. I agree that Helix and Balder look like coasters that could contend for Top 50 slots.
They both easily landed there

Also wow Intamin prefab with no a gap. Is it possible for there to be almost to much airtime because that feels like a ride which might get to that point!
With a gap i mean!
The airtime isnt strong enough for it to be dangerous but good enough for it to be fun
These vlogs are awesome. I hope you get to go to different countries each summer in the future. If you can swing it financially. Want to see that 1000th credit!
Another country coming very very soon
Video Idea: Top 10 worst roller coaster launches you have ever experienced.
Sounds like a good best and worst video
Lol that intro just made my day
This might be my fav airtime thrills video yet
Not just does this look like a great park, it seems to be very well run, too. And by people who truly get the coaster community.
And have been running for a 100 years since May 8th 1923 good Sir/Madame!
-Proud resident of Guthenberg. 😊🇸🇪
Can't wait to see your reaction of Wildfire
That helix music is way better than it has any right to be 😂
Will we be getting a video ranking all the coasters from this trip and where they fall in your overall rankings?
Yep once all the vlogs and reviews are done

Mmh yes, my favorite coaster at Liseberg.
Buttocks

I think helix would be a good candidate for one of those ranking the elements reviews.
I got a helix review queued up and even though I dont rank the elements, its kinda close
You have a great channel. I also watch your baseball channel. Keep up the good work.
Sees person spinning upside-down in toilet. Immediately hears Doofenshmirtz "IT WONT STOP FLUSHING."
I have no idea why balder was translated to buttocks, it is either old swedish or google translate being google translate and I mean translating something completely wrong.
If you actually wanna say buttocks in swedish, you do not say balder, you say ”rumpa”.
And here I thought the hike out to The Boss at SF StL was long!
Helix or Balder pros and cons video?
Balder would have been a good pick for the Top 25 Coaster Names video
In terms of calling Balder El Toro's little brother, I think that title should go to Colossus at Heide Park. PS: Balder was the son of Frigg and Odin. Love Liseberg myself it's such a pretty park.
Balder doesn't translate to buttocks. Balder is the name of a god in norse mythology. Same with Loke, which you might recognize in english as "Loki".
2:38 Believe it or not, American Eagle used to have even more queue. That Kidzopolis area used the be the entrance part of the queue for AE.
Thats hard to imagine

I seriously thought that the music you played in the Helix que line was a remix of the Flower Garden soundtrack from Yoshi's Island.
Did you do the haunt maze? That was one of the best attractions in the park.
Nah i dont do haunted stuff
"I think I like it better in the back." Ok
Also, about that waterpark.... It burnt down.
the queue for helix..... is a helix.
It is! They clearly didn´t pick up on that.
This park is the best, and Helix is my number one
Balder is a nordic god

Did you not ride Luna?
finally liseberg its too good for you not to visit

why were they playing E.T. from 12:19-12:27 LMAO

The one Zieir minetrain that i can never spell right
lisebergbanan
What does ERT stand for?
Same. Maybe extra ride time? Not sure
Extra Ride Time is correct. Either before or after park hours.
