      Are you crocheting in the front loop and back loop, and then a row of hdc?

    Very pretty scarf! I love the stitch! I’ve never seen it before. It’s lovely. I don’t put borders around scarves and I think yours looks fine without one.
    Thanks for sharing!

    Absolutely. Corkscrew. I've never seen it before but I certainly love it. I'm building my guy's scarf with 2 strands. One a bit thinner than a 4 even though stated to be a 4. So I'm considering that 6 together. One is gray and one is blue fleck. I'm not sure how wide a guy's scarf should be. All guess work and ready to frog if necessary. 🤣

      Lynda! I'm so sorry I'm just seeing this! Thank you so much for giving this pattern a try ♥ Frogging is always on standby for me too! lol =D

    I tried to make a hat with this, but need more practice! The stitches looked good (was using a yarn about half as bulky as this), but the hat was quite lopsided! I frogged it out and started to make a scarf. For some reason, The corkscrews aren't really showing. They looked fine in the lop-sided hat. I'll keep trying. I was getting frustrated, so decided to try it with Unforgettable. So far, that yarn is looking really nice! Practice, practice, practice!! I've also (by mistake..) found that if you don't pull through 2 on the first part of the stitch (when you go into the back loop) and just go right into the second half of the stitch (going into the front loop) you get one more strand in your corkscrew. Both look great! Thanks for all you do!

      Thank you Cheryl for your detailed experience with this! I know that some yarns will not give you that same look, but it sounds like you are getting creative on your own and taking things to another level! Play and practice! That's what I always say, and it always end up turning into a new pattern ...lol. Thank you for your interest in my patterns Cheryl and have a blessed holiday! ♥

    This scarf is adorable. I love your stitch. It seems to work up pretty fast. How long did it take you to complete this scarf? I love the tassels too. Just simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Jennifer ❤️

      Jennifer Ousley Thank you so much Jennifer! So sweet of you. It actually took me a couple of days because I had to keep walking away from it to do other things so I couldn't give you an exact, but yes it is a quick one to work up. I would say you could complete it in 2-3 hrs depending on the type of yarn you work with 😊

    Colleen how many skeins did it take for this scarf and tassels? The wool is pretty expensive but beautiful . Thank you Jen

    • @chaysiecrochet
      @chaysiecrochet  6 років тому

      Hey Jennifer! It took me 2 skeins for the scarf, I dove into the 3rd for the tassels. It can be a bit pricey, definitely not your everyday crafting yarn! We Are Knitters has it for less than I've seen it elsewhere though so if you are able to try it, I will tell you, it is a great experience to work with it... I never had until this video =) ♥ Just a heads up... as I type this message, I see that they are having a 30% off sale... Peruvian Highland Wool included! lol ;D Have a fabulous day Jennifer!

      Elisha Ison Hi Elisha! I don't have a specific video to show this at this time, only a couple of patterns where I change and show you how within the video. The best thing to do is search, join new yarn or skein crochet in UA-cam and you will find a lot of videos for this. 😃 Thank you for the suggestion on a new video though! I'll be working one up as soon as I have some extra time 😊💗

      It's similar, but the way you work into it gives a slightly different twist and a bit more bulk 😊 (imo)
