- Dave Stewart and friends are building a huge O scale model railroad for realistic model railroad operations.

The thousands of feet of track are now complete, all hand laid track, and controlled by a CTC control system.

The railroad was on the layout tour of the 2017 narrow gauge convention in Denver Colorado. The 37th National Narrow Gauge Convention took place August 30th through September 2nd 2017 in Denver, Colorado - Always a fan favorite narrow gauge convention location. The convention was held in The Marriott Denver Tech Center. This was one of the spectacular layouts on the layout tour.

I watch real trains as often as possible thank you . You are both blessed to have what you do.
Just Fun. 🚂🇺🇸🚂🇺🇸🚂🇺🇸
Not sure why I’ve come across this is so long after it was posted. Sure is a great show! Looks like a fun layout
Dave and friends have done a great job. I met him shortly after A&O 1.0 was torn down and the new house was built. He has handlaid all that track, turnouts, and the scenery is tremendous. I haven't been there for the last two years, but I really enjoy visiting him and the layout. One visit he had me switching, first time doing that much switching in O scale, despite growing up around O scale, I was surprised how much walking around I had to do. My wife called me during this time and told me I had to come home for diner. I felt like the kid being called home for supper when he was having too much fun. Thanks for sharing Dave's layout!
Glad to see 2 rail standard gauge is not a dead gauge. Great video . The layout? Impressive !
I can't believe that even in so easy to work larger "O" scale hand-laid track, someone would still use "huge chunks of tie" instead of realistic throw bars, and not properly timber the crossovers.
I just now found this video. Not sure how I missed it been watching you guys for a long time. Im sorta interested in the 2 rail O scale but its so big I dont have much room. But I love the detail on these larger trains!
Hey Toy Man: Like the Proto "O" Scale trains, they have really come along. Since you were 70 miles north of Denver, did you swing over to Greely Freight Station, in Greely Colorado. They have changed their name to the "Colorado Model Railroad Museum", and having been there in person, and wow, what a labour of love and track plan layout. Worth seeing. They run their trains like the real thing, and the train lengths are just as prototypical, hundred car trains. Maybe do a 30 minute show?
Ha ha that's, great
