We spent Christmas Eve day at my nephew’s house. Our best gift was meeting my great nephew, who happily slept through the festivities. My most precious moment was watching his grandfather (my brother) holding his first grandchild. Happy Christmas, Cara! ❤
Thank you for sharing your life, your family, your joy, your sorrow, your pets, your talents and tips, and your valuable time for twenty five days! I feel like I know you now! I look forward to your New Year adventures!
Merry Christmas to you!! So lovely to take a little break from my festivities to visit with you here today, it's like we're just down the street from each other rather than on opposite sides of the ocean. The comfort vs. style question really helped something click inside my brain ... For ready to wear clothes I feel like you must choose between the two, but when I sew I can make stylish clothes that are comfortable because they fit my body. I don't have to choose!! I'm so happy you're planning to keep going for a little bit more with the daily videos. I'll go through withdrawal symptoms for sure when the normal weekly schedule resumes! Peace to you and your family on this special day.💜🩷💜
Hi Jennifer I love your comment and read it to my family last night ❤️ I’m glad we can chat freely and enjoy each other’s company. Yup sewing gives us such freedom- we’re so lucky to have. Have a wonderful day
Awww... Happy Christmas Cara.. I know this was tinged with sad loss for you this year but hope it was still a lovely time with family and friends 🙏💖. My most memorable proud make was a Penny dress too Cara... I made it for my Niece and I was super proud that it fit her so well 😜. Enjoy the rest of the festive season and thanks again for your lovely vlogmas 🥰🎄💖😘
I wish you the Merriest Christmas all the way from Toronto. I'll miss your vlgomas' but I'm excited to see what you've got in store for the new year. Thank you for all you do.❤
Hi Cara.. I have loved your Vlogmas.. thoroughly enjoyed every episode.. you are an absolute warrior.. to complete all that you sew, including all those gifts and posting daily under the weight of your heavy heart.. truly astonishing I hope you and your family have a wonderful day ,finding a little time for yourself 🙏🏼 Sending a big Christmas hug and love.. here’s to 2025🥂
Gosh that’s so lovely of you thank you. What a month. But hearing lovely messages like this really has pulled me through so thank you so much for being here x
Hi Cara! No matter how much I pre-prep and plan for a big meal, invariably it still takes so much of my time on the day. While Rick and the kids were sleeping off a post pancake breakfast, I was busy in the kitchen right up until we sat down for our Christmas Day meal. Phew, hours of cooking and 20 minutes later it's gone! 😋Chris' phone takes a nice video but (and I don't know why) I'm not fond of seeing things in reverse. Your napkins were adorable. Funnily, I too, picked doggie themed Christmas napkins this year. A close resemblance to my Ruby is on yours in the bottom right. Did you get any sewing related gifts? I got a new ironing board! Funny what we get excited about. I'm so please that we had a lovely day and a beautiful celebration while remembering those who are missing from the table. xoxo
Hi Rita, I noticed the images were the wrong way around when I watched it after it had gone live 😅 we checked that the mirroring can be switched off which it can. I like the quality of the video and sound so I’ve brought one last night, frustrating but needed. It’ll be here in a week or so. We’re with you on the food prep. So much time and gone in a moment! But such a lovely moment. I took a second to just watch those I love smiling and eating and just being together. I was cross with myself this morning as I didn’t say out loud that I was thinking of those who weren’t sitting there. My dad did so well yesterday, didn’t mention it either so I guess I was following his lead. My mother in law also lost her husband only 3 years ago. So much love lost. It’s important to create and treasure memories and moments. I hope you get some you time today? I didn’t really get any sewing gifts, just those in the video yesterday. I did receive a beautiful handmade wreath which I’ll show later in the video. Absolutely stunning. Hours of work that I made sure I talked about as I appreciated it so much. Have a wonderful day x
@@sosewmad Good morning! I think everyone at your table was remembering your loved ones, in their own way. I've heard of the stiff upper lip the British are so good at, maybe no one wanted to bring up something that is still too raw? I took a similar moment last night, when everyone was quiet but together, to watch my little family and think about Christmases past in that very same spot. 27 years with our kids has gone by like a flash and I'm very aware how quickly time will bring me to the other side of the next few decades.Do you ever feel like you need to just cram every experience, moment of happiness, and new adventures in because there's just not much time left? Sorry Cara! Since I turned 60 I'm just so much more aware of time. I think that's one of the reasons I've been so drawn to you as a person. Your zest for life and people is so infectious and lovely. Looking forward to seeing this amazing wreath later on! Give your pups a cuddle and tell them someone in America thinks they're adorable and Ruby says 'hi'. 🥰
Thank you for all you do! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
🎄🎄🎄❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much x

I am 78 and and would not feel comfortable in anything that was not stylish. Thanks for doing these videos. A happy and healthy New Year.
Thank you Christine, totally agree with you on that, style never goes out of fashion ❤️❤️
The video quality on Mr’s phone is good! Surprised you had time for a video today, but nice for us! Thank you! Merry Christmas!
