Proves you dont need a big expensive machine. These little great value bikes will send a shiver up the spines of the mainstrean motorcycle manufactures. They will sell heaps
Thanks guys my Africa twin weights heaps. Power more then I need. Did I say it's bloody heavy. Cfmoto for me be way easier around victorian high country.
I downsized from a Yamaha T7 to a 450MT and again the weight difference in real life is amazing, on paper the MT is not much lighter, in real life it is. The MT has all the power and more importantly to me the low down torque I need on and off road. I love it.
I had the opportunity to test one these. I didn't have the highest of expectations. I came away not only impressed...but I want one! People will be surprised by the power! The "fit and finish" are as good as ANY expensive bike.. The ONLY problem I found was the fueling in 1st and 2nd gears. It was too jerky in those low gears. It can be gotten used to like any other bike with fueling like this..but can be a challenge off road. I road it both off road and on road. Wish they'd hurry up and release this bike here in the US!
Think the most illuminating point is the huge 25kg weight difference between the Tuareg and MT450, which proves the manufacturers figures are fairy dust. I’d rather have a 44hp lighter bike than a 75-80hp heavier bike. It’s why I’ve ordered one too.👍
For the price of the Aprilia, you could buy both of the 450's on the trailer & still have $5000 change! You're right, CF Moto will sell heaps of these MTs.
I wanted to buy a Tuareg, went on a test ride and loved it. Just wanted to try it on the road. The dealership (50 kilometers away from me) never got back to me. So bought something else instead.
I love my Tuareg - has been reliable and awesome to ride...but it's great that you tell a story about peeps who have different needs/tastes. Good luck with your riding - cos its all about riding aint it, not so much about the bikes. 👍
The CF Moto 450 MT has been selling like hot cakes everywhere it would seem. Here in the UK the whole country's current batch has been sold and they're not getting anymore till February apparently. The only real unknown of these Chinese bikes is their longevity, how long will they last. Only time will tell.........
At 75 my BMW 1200GS has become too heavy and tall, I’m looking for a smaller bike. I know I’ll give up comfort and speed but at this time I’m willing to sacrifice to keep riding. My GS has 100,000 trouble free miles on it.
hey guys I responded to this vid the first time you posted while waiting for my CFMoto to arrive. It came in and had 2 broblems CFMoto dealership would not lower seat and thrttle was supe twitchy. I'm looking at getting either Apilla or African Twin. I sold mine with 500 something KMs on it. Is your throtle super twitchy at slower speeds?
2:32 - What size Rhinowall bags are those? 3:48 - Does the width of the CC not mean your hand is "cramped" against the edge of the handle - hurts my palm. It does on my bike ;(.
Hi guys I got my CFMoto about 6 days ago and I have a problem with it and wondering if you had same and if there is a fix for it. My throttle is super twitchy. just the slightest let off on throttle and it jerks me about the same with just a bit movement to get in back it jerks me about. I was wondering if you experiences this too and if you were able to find a solution for it? Here in medellin Colombia the same people who maintain Aprila also does CFMoto.Hopefully this bike really takes off! Thanks in advance!
Hi Derek, when I google the weight of the TOUAREG it comes back @ 187kg, the MT 450 @ 175kg and a DR650 @ 162kg. Which is correct? Riding a CF 450 this Saturday, mate sells them here in Sydney, the only noise that is starting to pop up regarding the MT is wait time for spare parts so don't know if this is an issue. The eternal question, as an elderly novice do I buy a good DR with everything on it, around $8K to $10K or new MT 450? The MT has a couple of things to do, sump guard, barkbusters, bigger better footpegs, high guard kit which would add around $800 to the price taking it to over $10K with a $9,800 starting price. What do you think?
Why does not matter, it is personal choice. I ride a RE 350 Hunter, and I am happy, but I get a few comments, but I don't care. I think that annoys fanboys the most that I don't care.
I've had exactly the same experience with the dealer in Ringwood Victoria. I will not but another bike of any brand that relies on them for servicing. It limits my choices in the future, but they're not getting my money again
I just tested one. I have a 2021 1290 super adventure s and it is an amazing bike. But after trying this one I actually am asking myself…. For what I do… I could basically sell my bike and get two like these and still get cash for a huge trip… not the same bike I know but I mean….
Are cfmoto dealers better den aprilia ? İs cfmoto 450 more reliable than tourage? If I were you (ignoring weight reliablety good dealer network and not ignoring power) ı would buy crf300L or rally
So if it's an adventure bike then how come the adventure bikes are sitting on a trailer. The reason they come out with dual purpose tyres is so you can ride it on/off road. Knobbly tyres are for Enduro/ MX/Trail bikes not adventure bikes. You've probably found out that your knobbly tyres don't last on the road very long-most dual purpose tyres will last 10,000 km for a rear & probably double for the front.
Fair comment... I unfortunately still work for a living a d have limited time off... Using the car allows me to travel at night and get to the outback with limited time

Totally agree
It's crazy that people give shit to Chinese bikes about reliability when Italian bikes exist.

I hadn't wanted a sticker kit...until now 😍
Yes.. they do dress them up nicely..
The way these bikes are selling we probably all need a kit just to pick out the right bike in the parking lot 😂
The 450 mt is just a great bike!

Yep.. they're an interesting experiment at this stage

I'd like to ride one. In general, how is the support from CFMoto in Australia?
My local dealer is great ... I haven't had any issues thankfully to test out CFMoto corporate yet so time will tell

It wasn't twitchy for me but others have found they need to adjust the throttle cable a little
2:32 - What size Rhinowall bags are those? 3:48 - Does the width of the CC not mean your hand is "cramped" against the edge of the handle - hurts my palm. It does on my bike ;(.
Not sure what size sorry
The position of the CC hasn't bothered me yet

I adjusted the free play out of my throttle cable which helped a lot

We weighed both bikes with Darryl's commercial scale and the difference was a lot more than what Google says
Great video, what size is your trailer?
8x5
Un piñón de 15, mi like desde España 🇪🇦🇪🇦

Yes.. it's unfortunate but completely understandable to avoid those bad dealers like the plague
Sad he had a shocking dealer. Sun state I'm guessing. Thinking of buying a cfmoto to replace the dr650. I have a Tuareg also and love it
CF will be an ideal replacement for the mighty DR
Is this a reupload? Sure I’ve already seen this
Yeah sorry.. there was something in the original that was wrong so edited to fix
Found this really interesting!
May I ask about the actual weight of the 2 bikes and what was on them when on the scales?
Aprilia 218kg
MT 189kg
If you go back a few videos we do a walk around of Daryl's Aprilia
i replaced mine with a v8 nissan patrol
I just tested one. I have a 2021 1290 super adventure s and it is an amazing bike. But after trying this one I actually am asking myself…. For what I do… I could basically sell my bike and get two like these and still get cash for a huge trip… not the same bike I know but I mean….
Yep.. I know the exact thinking that you're having
Are cfmoto dealers better den aprilia ? İs cfmoto 450 more reliable than tourage? If I were you (ignoring weight reliablety good dealer network and not ignoring power) ı would buy crf300L or rally
That's fair enough.. but the CFMoto is hard to walk past at the moment for a lot of people

Have you lost your mind? Replacing unreliable one for even worse?
Time will tell
Apprillia is double the power
Yes.. definitely a consideration
