Hi Derek, just wrote to you on your other video. I weigh 105kg so good to see this info from you regarding shocks and weight, also, I mentioned the issue regarding spares being an issue. Good review so thanks.
Having watched lots of reviews on this bike, I now know why they call it the “Unicorn Bike”. It’s because they don’t exist! Zero stock here in Perth, WA.

Hello from across "the ditch" here in New Zealand. Appreciate an honest no bs review!! Very interested to see how good these things are going to be long term but can't expect to much of anything first gen I guess. Another Kiwi has posted a review/ride of these here and it seemed to do okay off-road. Thanks again for sharing good unbiased real world review-if any country is going to test a machine's capability your homeland is definitely going to!! Cheers mate ,have fun and ride safe 😎
Thanks for the honest review! You gave it such high praise, im looking at getting this as my first bike! Been eyeing the ADV segment for a while, and nothing came up for a decent price and the features i wanted/was comfortable with. Love the looks of the T7, but skeptical about it being my first bike. This came up and reviewers love the 450 Ibex/MT! This was the most down to earth review ive seen of it, and greatly appreciate it. Trying to put a down payment on one at the local dealer soon. They said they should have them by Feb-March for the USA near me. Excellent review and just know you've completely sold me on this 450MT/IBEX! Thanks again!
im 46yo been riding since i was 4yo I would advise not getting a T7 for your first steed. I've ridden both and the MT sounds like its for you. Enjoy mate
@@pucknhusker9426 Thanks! Yeah, the T7 is a fantastic looking and performing bike, but man, the heft of it for my 170lb 6ft frame, it doesn't work very well for me haha. Can't wait to sit on the 450MT soon. Would you suggest getting the taller rally seat? Or just keep the standard seat? It'll probably be 60/40 (on-road/light dirt), already plan to get the taller windscreen.
Im a DRZ guy also, rode a MT yesterday. It blows the DRZ out of the water for comfort and smooth riding but my bike has heaps more down low, i can get mine on one wheel in third and struggled to get a clutch up in first on this. But yep defiantly a nice ride, forth fifth and sixth gear are nice.
Mate, what a great review. I haven't seen one bad review yet on that bike. My prediction, the competition will be lifting their game and bringing something similar out because their sales will drop dramatically. I feel you're spot on about Chinese stuff not holding value, but that's why they are cheap, because of cheaper quality materials in manufacture. The positive to that is averaging the price out, so $9k over say ten years is $900 per year. Bingo. Winner winner. Bonus is a couple grand back reselling. A big plus for this bike is long distance rides. This bike can do a thousand k's a day going by other reviews, where before, these distances were in the realm of much bigger bikes.
Thanks for the video. From the manual it seem that the dash has the tires pressure & temp display option, but I don't know which TPMS need to be used on the valves.
If you keep both the cardo and your bike connected to your phone you won’t have that problem. When the music switches over to the bike just hit the pause button and then the play button on your cardo and it switches it back over. You will also be able to still use the buttons on the controls to change the songs. You also won’t have to disconnect and reconnect your cardo to your phone like you have been doing. I have the Cfmoto 450ss and that’s how I get around it

Great video. I do have some questions, mate. Do you think the bike is comfortable enough to tour on? I am planning to go on a 5-country tour. The journey will be mostly on paved road, but will cover hills, dunes and beaches about 25 thousand KMs in total, I'll cover about 600-800Km per day. Is the engine buzzy at 100-120kph?
