I started playing cyberpunk about a month ago, and I’ve already completed two playthroughs of it (I’m on my third now). I had low expectations given what the launch had been like, but I was completely blown away at how great it was. While it’s definitely not perfect, it’s still one of the greatest games I’ve ever played. The combat is some of the most fun I’ve had in an rpg and the story left a big impact. The amount of post playthrough depression I had was huge because of just how good it all was.
I really want more games to have combat like cyberpunk where movement is the main focus. games like skyrim and fallout, they were good because of the amazing stories and their very detailed and immersive worlds, but i want combat that feels good and looks cool.
Exactly how I feel, I love Night City, it’s one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played. The core gameplay is so fun and the story is very good with a lot of depth. Easy top 10 and maybe top 5 game ever for me.
Same, just finished it yesterday and my social life was pretty much non existent for 2 weeks bc of this, i definitely buy a phantom liberty in like a week
You're right, but it's more than that IMO. The game FEELS so alive which is so cool. Honnestly, I think even if the story sucked, if they fixed the bugs, and it had a world that felt this alive, it would have still been a great game! the story was just cake they did such a great job with this game, it's a shame they had such a poor launch, but man did they ever redeem themselves
@@nayber2352bro by the end of the game, even back in 2020, I was emotional because of what V has been through... The game feel so alive and realistic... Initially it was feeling very off the top... But as the storyline expanded, the game started making so much sense.... It's amazing...
@@vertigo5558 I will say they did a good job of giving you just enough freedom and plenty of investment to be playing as the character (you) instead of just playing a character(provided by the game)
I'm glad Cyberpunk had the glow-up it did. The story-writing is 10/10 in my opinion and was the first game to really make me think about life in general, it's a really deep narrative.
The basegame has a linear movie with short gameplay dynamics. I guess in 2020 they did it so to mask the game's problems like dead AI and bugs. Now that they fixed most of these issues, the basegame still has the foundations of 2020 so in the end it looks like a bizarre frankenstein. I honestly don't know what to think, but it could be worse I guess.
The only modern AAA studio who not only get story writing right, but also its models, art style, cutscenes. But I'm still not over my initial expectations that were based on 3rd person cutscenes (which I still want for upcoming titles), a working public transportation and metro system, and how this would have tied into a living and breathing vertical city. Dogtown is the first district that delivers on the gritty Bladerunneresk feeling I expected from Cyberpunk. Still no metro though, still no update to the rest of the city to reshape it more in such a picture. So many areas of the city are cut content, planned at one point, but never completed. Not a single Megatower that is fully accessible (having Dredd as an example in mind). Overall, they would never have faced such a backslash (at least on PC) if it wasn't for their trailers. They put more money into their marketing campaign than game development. Marketing is completely unproductive, and as we witnessed, can never compensate for a poor product. There are still fans who aren't over the false promises, who won't forget this.
Dice used to be solid too. They would release shitty products and somehow fix them by the end of the games life and be some of the greatest games of that gen. Battlefield 4 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 are amazing tier resurrections.
@@alexandrostheodorou8387it wasn’t Dice though… The swedish Dice would release that broken mess, which would then be fixed by Dice LA (aka Ripple Effect). They made Battlefield 4 what it is, it was broken on release. They have the reigns now for battlefield, so it’s cool I guess? But I don’t hold my breath because they are owned by EA…
The fact that CD could’ve just taken the money and ran after 7 years of hyping people up but they didn’t and continued trying to fix the game as much as they could, gives me some of the highest respect for a game development studio, no telling people that they should get used to not owning games they paid for, no trying to make the game based on microtransactions, no lies, just a very rough start, but they kept on going, mad props to them
Honestly cd gained massive respect from me many games like battlefield just abandoned the game cd stuck with it making sure they kept their promise and honestly idk if it's true but I heard they were rushed to release it so if it's true I don't blame them for how it released
They literally couldn't without going out of business. If they left the way it was, who was going to buy their newer games and other endeavors? Outside of their other products, they really only have two games the world knows about as a whole. Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk. That's basically the only experience most gamers know them by. If they left Cyberpunk as it is, their future products would be failures. Saying this is some altruistic move is just silly when you know the consequences of doing otherwise. I'm sure if they had other blockbusters, they wouldn't have done half as much.
They shouldn't have lied to us from the start to begin with. CDPR was greedy and rushed production, then lied about it to make back its money. The fixes they made after that was the bare minimum they should have done. Don't lower your standards.
You're kind of right but honestly if they grabbed the money and ran away that would simply shatter CD Projekt RED's reputation completely and they know that, so that is why they fixed the game.
I'm incredibly old for a gamer. I played Pong when it first appeared in arcades, graduating through Space Invaders and Asteroids into my first PC games, Quake and Doom. There have been a LOT of advances in my time... all leading up to the game experience I yearned and envisaged from the start... Cyberpunk 2077. I got through the initial release, with the aid of a decent, best specs I could afford pc, that got me through my first playthrough, with virtually none of the problems experienced by others, especially console players. After that first playthrough, I just put it away though, dipping in for a few hours when new patches came out, as there was literally nothing new to do, bar a few short side gigs. I picked it up again after 2.0 (but with a delay because I was kinda involved with Starfield)... with the same pc built for the initial release... and was blown away by the improvements. I got Phantom Liberty a couple of weeks ago, having built V back up close to the badass he was in my first playthrough, and am now totally engrossed in this digital masterpiece, without any mod enhancements, as I don't feel the need. Phantom Liberty and the vastly improved UI make it, without a doubt, the best gaming experience I've had in my life... and I'm 71
I like hardcore strategy games (like Paradox games used to be) and RPGs like Fallout. And Cyberpunk is the best in the latter category. Cannot really compare it with strategy games.

For me, it's one of the best game with a remarkable story in my lifetime. Also must give credit to the architecture and environment of the game. Truly amazing!
its a great game bro. the haters saying it bad because they comprlaring it with gta. yet for me its better than gta , the melee fight so much better than gta .
@@izansai1009 You're right. Can't even compare. GTA fighting ( at least for melee / on foot) is utter sheit. Infact most on foot gameplay is rubbish because they haven't changed it at all since GTA III
I bought the game back when it was released for PC. Never had a problem. Played it through 3 times. Now with Phantom liberty, it's like a different game with even better gameplay. On my fourth playthrough now and already planning the fifth 😊
Yeah, it had some bugs on PC, but it wasn't as buggy as other notorious releases. My big issue was that I just found the gameplay to feel really off, and I never got too into it. Then 2.0 happened and the gameplay restructure just made it all click. They made so many smart decisions, like not loading you up with junk, but instead just dropping cash, making armor about your cyberware, not your clothes, the new skill trees, just made it so fun to play. Now I'm playing the expansion and man, it's great.
@@sydhamelin1265 I know what u mean. I love the Edgerunner skill and the sudden moments of cyberpsychosis. My fourth playthrough is with a female V and that laugh ...
I never had a problem on the PS4. It might have crashed 10 times playing it for 80 hours, but no other bugs. Even then, 10 times is just a guess. It may have been 5 or 6 times. Either way I played it, beat it, and loved it on release. So when I see this type of stuff I don't understand how it was so bad for everyone.
Absolutely, it's admirable how the team persisted in turning things around. The developer's dedication truly shone through in Cyberpunk 2077's revival.
That's a very Lefty/commie take on a great company...but I think you will be happy moving forward, as I fear that they have been infiltrated by the Left, and now, like Starfield, it will suck, bc the focus will not be on quality, but on propaganda and preaching. At least that's what I think Starfield is, bc I refuse to spend money on the game...the only Bethesda game I outright refused to purchase.

Cyberpunk became one of my favourite games even when it was first released. I found the story, the characters, and the music so awesome that I could ignore/accept the bugs.
What were you playing it on? It clearly wasn't a PC. There weren't many bugs. Or are you one of those people that are so desperate to be liked that you will parrot things you know aren't really the truth just to fit in with who you feel is the bigger/more popular group?

16X the LIES. Just like Todd Howard. Just like No Man's Sky. They don't deserve my business, even if they "fixed" the game. CD Projekt Red sold out to hedge funds because all they saw was the cash. 🤑 Because apparently The Witcher series didn't make them enough money... They made their own bed. Now they have to sleep in it. Make Cyberpunk 2078, and try not to F it up next time.
I was impressed with the level of connection and emotion the game instilled. The worry and affection I felt for my virtual "friends" was unexpected. CDPR pulled off something special with this one.
I began my Cyberpunk journey all the way back during the holidays in December 2022, a couple months after the premiere of Edgerunners, recommendation from a friend of mine, and thanks to a holiday sale on the PS Store. However, I do remember being curious about the game in general during the leadup to launch back in 2020, but the only console I had that would've been able to play it was an Xbox One (and the og model going back to 2013), and considering how that initial launch went... you can probably make an understanding as to why I decided at the time to wait until I had the right hardware and thought that the time was finally right. When that time came, it was something that had my mind blown. Speaking as someone who doesn't primarily play many shooters yet loves a good story, Cyberpunk got me hooked near instantly. While not perfect, I immediately became a fan of the universe as a whole. The freedom of customizing my V to my liking, the freedom of making your own playstyle to handle the various gigs and fights you'll find yourself in all throughout Night City, to all the characters you end up meeting on your journey, it just clicked for me as someone who could relate to a couple of things that take place within that story. And when I eventually finished my first playthrough during July of 2023 (I started with the Streetkid route), I had known that Cyberpunk 2077 would be going in my list of all-time favorite games. Since then, with Phantom Liberty's release, Updates 2.0 and 2.1, and having only just finished going through Edgerunners a couple days ago, I'm looking forward to my return to the City of Dreams for my second playthrough (this time I'm gonna go Nomad since it's been a while, plus the whole reworks that Update 2.0 brought) beginning later in May. Looking very forward to seeing what comes next for not just the games but for the Cyberpunk universe as a whole. (looking forward to also starting the Witcher Trilogy soon too since I'm now excited to try CDPR's other games). Props to CDPR for choosing to actually fix the game, make changes and doing what they could to bring the game as a whole on better footing. It's certainly been a very long and rewarding story to follow through to the end.
i bought and played this game at launch and was one of lucky few to have 0 bugs , but understood peoples frustration with the game , im so glad they never gave up on it
Other way around. Most people had almost no or no bugs. The problem was the vast vast minority was very loud then people started to think that the minority is the majority. It is just like if you ask people what the percentage of the population is LGBT, many many people will say numbers around 30% because it is shoved in their face so often when in reality it is 3% of the population.
Absolutely fantastic game. I started playing it in May last year, a couple of hours but it was crashing a lot then put it on hold for a bit. When the 2.0 patch came out with liberty phantom I jumped back in from the beginning. What an incredible experience, the story, the world the characters.. it is...I am gonna say it... a masterpiece. It's finally the game it should have been, the tragic launch meant that this essentially unfinished game ( at the time) didn't even do what it said on the tin, a potentially great game, that was unplayable. Cdprojekt knew they had something special beneath at the core of the game and kept at it, thankfully for us, they were able to make this game what it deserved to be. Bravo.
My favourite game of all time. That’s saying something considering I’m one of those who was waiting for this game for years, my disappointment at the launch of the game was immeasurable...I even refunded the game. But CDPR brought out the game I imagined it was going to be. Can’t wait for Orion, I can’t say I’m gonna preorder the game, I’m 100% sure they learned their lesson
Whoever says this game is awesome should fucking stop playing videogames cause you’re ruining the market. It’s because of you that games nowdays are halfdone when they are released, it’a because of you that games are nothing similar to what they promise to us.
The Edgerunners Anime was a huge boost imo and was what sparked my interest again. Now, almost 4 years later i bought the game and am loving it so far. This World and Story is amazing.
My second playthrough after all the updates was some of my favorite combat moments in gaming. They definitely nailed combat/movement. Narrative of base and dlc are both also excellent. Hope they learned their lesson and the sequel will be actually ready at launch. Shame some will miss it / have a negative view on it due to shitty launch.
Not sure if that was the right priority though, since combat was already acceptable and not essential for RPG immersion. Lack of verticality is the real issue in my experience. It lacks complexity, the feeling of a Mega city where you have to figure out how to get to a certain place, which transport to choose. The game only has cars, no flying shuttles, no metro, no busses, not even Delamains work outside of scripted scenes. The great thing about the Witcher was that transportation itself was an experience. Though horizontal, you had to take boats, Roach, find the right mountain passes, river crossings, entries into the town, etc. On the way, you could encounter friends or foes, find loot, or just enjoy the scenery while Roach automatically follows the road. Cyberpunk makes travel boring, unchallenging. A few elevators and that's it. Dogtown has a bit more verticality on foot, but that's not really the complex verticality you'd expect from the genre, from Brutalist architecture.
@@matfax you're right, hopefully one of their main focuses for the sequel! 👍 Combat can stay mostly similar imo with a few changes of course. They may have been restricted on how much they could change on that front.
@@xColton24 Thing is, as they migrate to Unreal Engine, most of the combat probably has to be reimplemented. Unlike assets, which only need to be optimized for the new engine. They could have improved the city building and basically reuse it in their sequels. But all game mechanics have to start at point 0. My guess is that they will have a different timeline for the successor, allowing them to add some modifications, improving the city at least to the level of attention to detail that Dogtown exhibits. But I'm afraid they are still cursed by their initial choice to go down the action adventure route. Having an excellent story doesn't make it a RPG. Sticking to this idea was probably the reason why they kept ignoring the community's demands for a working metro. There's a mod now but this mod can never deliver the immersion and integration into a complex vertical city. I'm afraid if they continue this route, including their upcoming Witcher title, we might not even get the RPG residues from the first half of Cyberpunk's development, from the Witcher 3 development team that has left the company during development and soon after release.
@@matfax yeah I'm definitely a bit wary of the switch to unreal, hopefully it is smooth, as they just seemed to master their last engine. And yes I agree they need to embrace the tabletop RPG side of it much more, whilst keeping the great action. I think that's what Pondsmith would really want but I'm not sure how involved he is/will be. Hopefully they are inspired by the success of games like Baldur's Gate 3 and see the potential of a truly great RPG with other genres blended in. Though I know that is more difficult if they want a voice acted protagonist. I'd love to have the ability to play as different classes, media, solo, etc. Unreal is what truly worries me the most tho
Bought the game on launch, played for like 5 hours and fell off. A friend told me about the patch, started playing last week and I’m already like 60 hours in. It is now one of my favorite games of all time. The combat, the lore, the engrossing story; I love this game. Perhaps I didn’t give it a fair shake the first time around, but I’m glad I did this time.
I feel like you probably gave it a fair enough shake the first time around. I didn't play it at launch, but I watched my favorite UA-camr stream and review it and the game was totally broken. I knew eventually it would be as good as it was hyped to be but personally I'm glad I waited for patch 2.0 to play it. I agree though the game is amazing, one of my top 3. It's one of the few games I'll play through a second time.
Yeah, you aren't a sheep that wants to be included so much that you will "decide" you don't like something if others don't like it. The game is different from initial release but the story, visuals and 95% of the game play are all the same as at launch.
@@MichaelJesmer No he didn't give it a fair shake and no your favorite youtuber didn't stream it and it was totally broken, you heard a bunch of negative hype and complied isolated incidents and then went along with what the talking heads were saying instead of actually thinking for yourself.

This is a great history lesson. I started playing after PL launched, so I don't truly appreciate how far it has come. It is quite easily one of my favourite games of all time, so it has always been weird to hear all those disparaging comments about it. Now I know why....
I don't think a game has ever completely turned itself around ever in gaming history like Cyberpunk did. Especially in the updates that came with Phantom Liberty. It's one of my top ten of all time at this point.
No Mans Sky is also amazing with the new update. Im playing Cyberpunk for this first timw and I am impressed by the first 2 hours. I only wish it would support VR with controller
Cyberpunk 2077 is truly the best example of why you should release a game when its fucking ready... its awesome now. If it released in its current state, although not 100% bug free, it would have been a huge success
Problem is, working on a game for 7-8 years and then asking for 2-3 more won't go over well with most management. They'll either tell you to start crunching or leave things out.
@BigTylt Thats the thing. Its a creative endeavor by the people making the game. The core of the company is what the devolopers envision, if they tell you that they have a vision, and certain things need to be done in order to accomplish them, then you shut your face and deal with it or prepare for the disaster that comes when you force to the audience, what the devopers never intended for them, aka not the intented product they beleive would be a hit and make money. Itd be fanstastic if all the developers staged a walkout, and then created their own studio, leaving cd project to clean up after its own sh*tty diaper, so they can actually get the fact that those people are invaluable. No immalgimation of developers will ever be able to own up to the team responsible for all those games we love. Irreplaceable, an ip doesnt make the game. They arent wokers in a factory, they ARE the factory.
How do you go from a relatively small game developer to gaining a well deserved reputation and straight after you have the marketing team out right lying to the public. Then releasing a game that crashes consoles every 2 hours, has npcs that are unresponsive to empty roads and cops spawning on you're face 😂 Like I enjoyed the glitchy mess it was fun till I got fed up now I've tried to play it recently and I can't, the bugs have been minimized but I know most of the story and all it takes is a drive down the baron roads and I'm over it. Cyberpunk was still fun on launch. It had it's problems, but I still loved it. On launch, it crashed every 4-5 hours, but I still booted it up every crash and jumped right back in. Through the issues, I could see the gem waiting to be published, and I truly believe that even if they didn't get all the public blowback, they would have still fixed the game. I played the game on PS4, and while it had issues, it was better for me than what most people said. I eventually bought a PS5 just to play it.
I'm happy to know that just recently they announced an update that brings us even closer to the promised game, it includes the metro system and I think it improves on the relationship system. not a huge step but aye we get closer once again.
The game of the decade. A shooter, a driver, an adventure. Great plot and story, romances. Its just amazing how it has everything. Super incredible game.
How so? If they were so entrenched then they wouldn't have been writing tons of stories trashing Cyberpunk 2077 for having problems on release, they media would have been singing its praises. You don't make any sense.
I played this game last month after getting it on sale and I love it. I’ve even bought the Phantom Liberty expansion and I’m currently playing that. Once I’ve got all the achievements, I’m doing a second play through with a different life path. On the one hand, I wish I got this sooner as I feel I’ve missed out on a lot but I also know it had a really bad launch and was hesitant to pay full price. It all worked out in the end and I’m happy though.
I think they did amazing job with edgerunners. As pretty much everybody, i was overhyped in nov 2020. but, since i needed to buy xbox to play cp2077, and it wasnt available, i just skipped it. Good thing too. I got my xbox in 2022 dirt ass cheap, and i got cp2077+phantom liberty in dec 2023. on patch 2.12. on a new years discount for like 20 bucks. Those 2 purchases are no doubt my all time best gaming value purchases.
It sold 13.7 million copies on the first day. People are so full of crap about this game and are pretending that the initial release was magically different. There are people saying that the gameplay and story changed when they stayed almost exactly the same.
This debacle still cements into the importance of not buying the hype. As much as CDPR has made amends, their tarnished reputation has made a lot of folks wary of supporting them fully until they've proven to the gaming community they deserve to be placed back upon that pedestal as the gold standard developer they were. But I will give them their due at least for the effort in redeeming themselves.
I’d also love a list of developers who make games that don’t have launch problems. The list is pretty small. Outside of Nintendo I can’t think of any cross platform game companies that consistently make great games that are pretty flawless at launch outside of a couple PS devs and FromSoftware. CDPR is a great developer and stayed with the game until it was fixed and pretty perfect now.
Too many people falaciating the devs and deluding themselves. It still doesn't live up to the hype or the promises. Even if they do get it there it doesn't erase the past 3 years of backpedaling BS. @@antonioguanimez3464
Loved the game when it came out just as much as now. No glitch kept me from fully enjoying it and the ones I did come across made me laugh. I was floored at the horrible reviews. One of the best and most immersive games ever. From the atmosphere to the music, it’s all so “Cyberpunk”. It’s an eerie representation of what our world is fixin’ to be. Love every damn bit of it.
I loved cyberpunk even back when it dropped, yes there was a lot of bugs but man, the story had me hooked. The whole concept was awesome, the fact that they’re still adding and fixing stuff is even more awesome. A lot of companies would’ve called quits on the matter.
I recently started playing it and I’m only a few missions in and holy fuck I’m so glad this game got the love it deserved. Banging soundtrack, amazing lore, well done atmosphere and solid gameplay.
Cyberpunk 2077 was my first pre-order because I loved the idea and believed it would be something unique. After release, I was disappointed, it took me three attempts to engage beyond the first mission before I uninstalled it with no hope. However, with the Phantom Liberty update, my third attempt left me completely blown away at how excellent it is, the most enjoyable RPG combat I've experienced with a story that got me completely hooked. I can't believe how much I can empathize with the characters, so much depth, something that left a big impact on me.
There is literally no difference story wise between release and now up until you get to the point where you can start the phantom liberty side mission. So you tried to start 3 times DOING THE EXACT SAME QUESTS and magically when people were crapping on the game you also thought it was bad but on the third time when everybody was now praising the game, suddenly you liked it. Yeah you aren't a sheep at all and you are independent and think for yourself.
Played day one. Loved it. But totally understand the 'hate' and disappointment for fans. Glad it made its comeback. Playing Phantom Liberty now and loving it.
The Cyberpunk controversy in 2020 is what finally stopped me watching gamer channels such as Yong Yea and Skill Up. It became clear that they were just shills, ready to lick CDPR’s boots no matter how terrible the game was back then. Only after it was released to negative feedback did they start criticising the game as well. They’ll just say anything that they think the viewers want to hear.
I bought this game a few weeks ago and I can say it is one of the best games I’ve played so far. CD Projekt Red really took accountability for a botched release and they more that made up for it. The game is amazing and fun
No. I bought the game yesterday. Ultimate with expansion. Played on highest difficulty. I am a few hours in. I have come across all kinds of flights. Dialogue suddenly stopping. So I don't know what they're saying.. Actors teleporting. Even my partner from the beginning was often making out with the wall while I was doing all the fighting. Among other major issues. It is playable but not of quality that should be released to the public. And it's June 2024. Story so far has been a disappointment. I switched to Nomad after the Street Kid story made no logical sense and I wasn't trying to be a mafia type character. We'll Nomad isn't much better. Then there's Jackie. I wanted him the hell away from my from the start. Both stories he is an enemy. Both stories we're suddenly besties out of nowhere. If it was a movie it would make no sense. Since there's nothing to like about him. And he needed to be a character you cared about. Not one you hoped just expire already. Nomad - dues not have my money right then and there where he's supposed to pay me. Yet instead of killing him, we're suddenly bff. But the premise is still an issue. You're a dirty mercenary doing corrupt jobs for corrupt bosses. Why? Look at Skyrim (and previous Elder Scroll among many similar RPG. You escape a prison. At the start you have the choice to join the freedom fighters or empire. And make your way openly as the dragonborn. Even when taught by Graybeardsyour duty to worship their religion, you can respond with your choices. This goes for every RPG Even Dragon Age that has multiple different starting backgrounds. Warden or Inquisitor even Mass Effect. Those games are designed with systems for making choices. So why not start with a regular job? Like Encased which starts with five jobs like in Divergent.
After this comeback, i only hope that both the player community and shareholders be much more patient with CDPR for Cyberpunk's sequel, so that we wont have another disastrous launch.
Been a fan since release (played on PS5) and saw the magic from day one. I didn’t experience any serious bugs or issues, besides funny T posing and other inconveniences. Got back into it after a 2 1/2 year break and I love the game just the same. The DLC is amazing as well. It’s truly amazing how special this game is.
I had a medium-quality PC (9th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU and nVidia RTX 2060, which was middle-of-the-road in December of 2020) and I had some graphical glitches, a couple of quest-breaking bugs (repaired pretty quickly by the hotfixes), and none of the reported save-game issues. So I enjoyed the game from the start, pretty much. But I saw videos of what people were going through on the consoles, so I understood the hate, even if I didn't share it. I'm so glad they redeemed themselves -- it really has become one of my favorite games ever. Edgerunner and Phantom Liberty were just what it needed.
I played this game when it first came out, it was horrible 😅 from performance to gameplay. After the new DLC “Phantom Liberty” dropped, I thought I would give it a another shot. The game looks really good now and performance wise it’s improved a lot❤ what a comeback
I played this game when it first came out, on a laptop with a 1060, it didn't have any issues and the gameplay hasn't changed from initial release to now except for very minor things like how vehicles steer and the story and missions are next to exactly the same as release. What happened here is that you were so desperate to fit in you gaslit yourself into believing others nonsense to the point that years later you are still going along with a lie.
What the fck have you noticed that is improved??? It’s literally the exact same game and I played the first one and the phantom liberty one, no difference whatsoever, y’all just say this like bots cuz others say it
@@mot8862 play the game bro, it’s much better in performance, the story and all are definitely same, no shit they gonna change the whole story as a “Rework”, I built a new pc, few yrs back.. it was heavy in my system and now it’s much better.. yeah I get it that there are still performance issues inside the night cities, but rest of the game it’s well implemented.. yeah with new dlc there’s a lot of fixes that they introduced along with it…. As a game tester myself, ik wtf they implemented and what not, so don’t give me your dumbfuck shit 💩 🤡

You can fix bugs but you can't fix a bad story. Cyberpunk has an amazing story
You're right, but it's more than that IMO. The game FEELS so alive which is so cool. Honnestly, I think even if the story sucked, if they fixed the bugs, and it had a world that felt this alive, it would have still been a great game! the story was just cake

I'm glad Cyberpunk had the glow-up it did. The story-writing is 10/10 in my opinion and was the first game to really make me think about life in general, it's a really deep narrative.
Absolutely 100% agree to that. Such a compelling storyline

Gotta give CD the respect they deserve for not just calling it an L and leaving Cyberpunk to be forgotten.
People can bitch about CDPR as much as they want but unlike Ubisoft, EA and various others, these guys stay true to their word.
yupp
Dice used to be solid too. They would release shitty products and somehow fix them by the end of the games life and be some of the greatest games of that gen.
Battlefield 4 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 are amazing tier resurrections.

Yea, Ubisoft sucks bad
The fact that CD could’ve just taken the money and ran after 7 years of hyping people up but they didn’t and continued trying to fix the game as much as they could, gives me some of the highest respect for a game development studio, no telling people that they should get used to not owning games they paid for, no trying to make the game based on microtransactions, no lies, just a very rough start, but they kept on going, mad props to them
Honestly cd gained massive respect from me many games like battlefield just abandoned the game cd stuck with it making sure they kept their promise and honestly idk if it's true but I heard they were rushed to release it so if it's true I don't blame them for how it released
and they've been awared with the best on-going game award which kinda incapsulated this whole experience for the company
Phantom Liberty and the vastly improved UI make it, without a doubt, the best gaming experience I've had in my life... and I'm 71

I’ll 100% buy it, I never preorder but I know eventually it will probably be 🔥 anyway even if it has launch problems.
@user-nl2bi2kx9k it was studio trigger that made the anime, not CDPR…but alright 👍
@@AveChristusRex789 Obviously, but they didn't make it out of nowhere. They were asked to by CDPR.
Whoever says this game is awesome should fucking stop playing videogames cause you’re ruining the market. It’s because of you that games nowdays are halfdone when they are released, it’a because of you that games are nothing similar to what they promise to us.

Awesome video. They have added the metro system and you can use a mod for flying vehicles. This game is now my number 1.
Started it like 2 weeks ago and it’s genuinely one of my top 15 games now

I eat shrooms and do the same. The Black Sapphire section of the game was especially wild for me haha 😂🤤
This guy deserves waaaaaay more subs
Haha, absolutely! Your support means a lot to us. Thank you!
This was a GREAT video. Thank you!
@@xColton24 I was too quick to judge. Metro is coming. I can't believe it.
@thomgizziz Lol oh really? Watch Videogamedunkey's Cyberpunk 2077 video and/or one of his three 4+ hour streams that's saved on a channel called Walter .NO and tell me that shit doesn't look totally broken.
Shut the fuck up and smoke some more copium. Actually, I think you should try fentanyl. Yeah give Fentanyl a try kid, you'll like it. 👍
I bought the base game on the last winter steam sale (2023), as I wasn’t sure about it after the debacle release.
After playing it for a few hrs, I’ve been totally sucked into it, & bought the expansion with no hesitation. Now I find out there’s even a series, comic books, etc?
I’m all in, this game is just amazing!
Cyberpunk started as a tabletop game (think DnD) in 1988. This is just the latest installment in a long story.
It’s still a huge success but it would have won GOTY.
Then releasing a game that crashes consoles every 2 hours, has npcs that are unresponsive to empty roads and cops spawning on you're face 😂
Like I enjoyed the glitchy mess it was fun till I got fed up now I've tried to play it recently and I can't, the bugs have been minimized but I know most of the story and all it takes is a drive down the baron roads and I'm over it.
This game made me understand the industry better they all sell out and give in to investors especially companies that are underdogs.
Like Bethesda releasing garbage after skyrim. Copy paste mechanics with an enormous amounts of copy paste content that couldn't be more shallow like AC.
@@kapnkrunch6833 the game is amazing now. If you can’t enjoy it now, then you just need try and get over the start of it honestly. Sounds like you won’t give it a fair shake now. Knowing the story or not, phantom liberty is new and the combat is great. That’s what makes it replayable.
When you can't sleep and you gotta keep playing you know it's one of the best games ever.

I bought Cyberpunk 2077 at launch back in 2020. Quit playing after about 2 hours. I watched Edgerunners a couple months ago and got back into Cyberpunk, and since I now had a PS5 and the 2.0 update had released, I bought the Ultimate edition. I have not been this invested in a game since Elden Ring and I've been having a lot of fun playing. Also, the main story and a few of the side quests are incredible stories, theyre some of the best in in video games. I love it.
I’ve played this game dozens of times. From day one and again every major patch. This game has come a long way but I will always wonder what would have happened if they just delayed it a full year and dropped last gen all together.
I received Cyberpunk for Christmas when it was released, played it right away and didn't experience any game breaking issues and my computer was not the best. I got distracted with another game my friends were playing so I took a break from Cyberpunk. Came back to it a few months later and still, no game breaking issues, just some funny AI stuff going on. I've played through the game 4 times now and am currently on my 5th time, now with the Phantom Liberty dlc. Was delayed again from playing it because of friends playing other games lol
I'm really happy though that they've improved the game as much as they have! I have nearly 900 hours now in the game, and love it!

Great Video pointing out just how much hard work went into making this one of my favorite games of all time after it was fixed. I am sure CDPR learned their lesson and Cyberpunk 2 will eventually live up to what fans initially expected, although we all should be more careful when hopping into the hype train…
Agreed but unfortunately sheep never learn. But I too believe CDPR learnt their lesson...not like Blizzard or EA.

Cyberpunk was still fun on launch. It had it's problems, but I still loved it. On launch, it crashed every 4-5 hours, but I still booted it up every crash and jumped right back in.
Cyberphunk was never dying and always seeing this game in top seller section at steam.

CDPR is a great developer and stayed with the game until it was fixed and pretty perfect now.

They’ll just say anything that they think the viewers want to hear.
tbf the game its self is good. its really fun , but the bugs even in 2024 is annoying major one being the game flatlining
Started it like 2 weeks ago and it’s genuinely one of my top 15 games now
Literally started playing a month ago and it’s hella fun.
After this comeback, i only hope that both the player community and shareholders be much more patient with CDPR for Cyberpunk's sequel, so that we wont have another disastrous launch.
Cdpr shouldn't have pushed the game out unfinished, it's really that simple.
Considering how empty everything is they should've just made it a linear game.
That’s why a lot of people wait a year or so, if even bothering to purchase it.
