Wahl T-Wide Blade Proset Tool

- Wahl educators Garland Fox and Nasee Yehuda showcase how to properly zero gap your Wahl t-wide trimmer blades using the new proset tool. Follow the instructions below!
1. Remove blades screws (hold the blade with your finger so it does not move).
2. Remove the blade from the trimmer.
3. Loosen screw #1 with a half turn, then loosen screw #2 with a half turn.
4. Place the blade in the proset tool. Snap it in.
5. Set it and forget it. Make sure the blade screws are tightened so the blade will stay at the point it is adjusted to. This blade should only need to be adjusted once since the metal inserted blade guide holds the blade secure in the position set.
6. Pull from the bottom and remove your blade from the tool.
7. Place blade back on your trimmer.
8. Tighten the screws.
9. Visually or finger check the blade for closeness after the blade is attached to the trimmer to ensure that top and bottom blade are in correct adjustment and there is no overlap of the top blade.

I can’t unscrew the damn screw. Been trying for an hour. And the guys in these vids are doing it so easily with just a light turn.
Mann mine too
Im having the same problem!!!
Me either
@@user-tj9lf8fp5e I ended up using snother screw and it worked, unfortunately the ones that come with it dont work lol
You cannot with the small tool they provide. You need to buy proper tool that handle 1.5 cross type size
Much appreciated Brothers, I got my detailer with this tool and had no idea what it was for. 🤜🏾
Very useful video. Simple and clear. Thank you!
Bro. Thanks for the video. Well explained and straight to point.
Nice explanation and production
Thank you brothers it was simple as you explained it much respect to you guys 👊🏾
We're glad you found this helpful!
I just got the cordless detailers and this cool little tool came with them super convenient!
Me too!
Great vid!
It would be nice to do if the dam screw heads would turn. I cannot get the tiny screws that keep both blades together unscrew at all!
Same here
Any solution for this?
@@klapaucius1 I took it to a hardware store and let someone use a variety of tiny screwdrivers until one gripped enough to turn.
Can’t get them to turn either
I’ve been trying to unscrew this for an hour bro. I’m sweaty and I’m stressed. It’s not working. I had to watch vids to see if I’m screwing the correct way.
They need a tool like this for clippers too
I couldnt grab the screw with the tool so it loosened but cant tighten it :) it doeant seem to turn and tighten...
Excellent!!!
How can I get one from the UK?
Checked your website you don't ship to europe???
Thanks
Whats the action that make it sharper? Tightening the screws?
Can i undo ZeroGap because i have adjusted it too many times, its cutting my skin everytime.🙏
I took head off spring loaded, when i assembled detailer dont trim hair and i can slide bottom blade back and forth?
What about the moveable blade that doesn't screw into the stationary blade.
If you push the inside blade backwards (i.e. away from perfect alignment with the other blade) will that be better for achieving a o'clock shadow for beard trimming? Lots of these videos explain how to get the "0" gap close shave, but how do you achieve the stubble look?
Michael, because these blades are great for lining, I wouldn’t use them to shave hair down (just to protect their sharpness longer). Instead, take your clipper and close it one notch from completely closed and shave against the grain. If it’s not close enough, you can close it all the way. Come back and use the detailer to line it up. I do it all the time and my clients really like how it looks. I hope that helps. 👊🏽

Would you recommend zero gapping the detailers for shaving a bald head? Not sure if I should keep the default setting, I don't want to damage my scalp.
I would not. When zero-gapped these are extremely sharp and would be dangerous to do on a whole head.
@@Wahlpro Thank you for replying, I will keep my detailer clippers at default.
Cordless super taper vs detailer... Which is gud to go?
Both , detailer for lineups. Recommend the senior over super taper
Zero gaps should be for light handed barbers. If you have a heavy hand like myself or learn to be light then I wouldn't suggest this but its an awesom too.
The pro set tool that came with my wahl clippers look a tad different. Maybe it’s just one that works on the clippers that I bought, only.
This is our most up to date proset tool that should work on all professional t-blade trimmer models.
Oh nice! Thanks for responding!
This is great how are they not laughing
My screws wont go any looser. Theyre stuck
Still cutting my skin, I've adjusted many times with the tool without the tool. Always leave red marks and irritation
Gotta be super light handed
A light touch is a must if you are adjusting these blades closer.
Light hand adjusting or light handed lining up?
@@franklopez8625 light hand when using . You can't be too heavy handed
Appreciate the help
Cant loose a screw
And i bought a brand new blade and again i cant loose the screw!!!
Same . Did you figure it out
My shit cut sharp as can be after watching this video
Glad it worked!
Edges way to long on dudes line up fade that out or start the arch half way up that. Too much spray fibres to i know its a video but cut back.
Will this work with my Wahl Sterling Definitions Trimmer? #8085
No it will not. Give our customer service a call at 1-800-767-9245 for the pro set tool for the standard t-blade.
@@Wahlpro Thank you much!
