Honestly I just started cutting hair & I’ve watched everybody’s methods. I just use a quarter and make sure it’s leveled and I’m zeroed out
The best video on this product by Far..... when you Shop for things you Look at UA-cam so that u can purchase exactly what your looking for and see how they are used and if the product is good or not...good job!!
You learn something new every day
And forget something old everyday
Excellent, helped me get my new Andis set up correctly.
Best vid on this subject
Definitely learned something. Good looks bro.
Thanks for this
much thanks for all your tips and reviews
anyone here know a good way quick, easy, cheap way to attach a shop vac to hair trimmers ?
Man I was hoping you was going to do the corded one
Pretty much the same process. We talk about it in the beginning
What kind of screwdriver is that?
Unscrew the blade from the clippers, use any blade guard that you most likely already have, put the blade in the clipper guard, make adjustments in the clipper guard, screw the blade back on the clipper. Perfectly aligned zero gap blade at no additional cost
I tried it with the guard. and it looked good but it cut my skin and little tiny blood came out. I think there has to be a tiny hair size gap.
It may be very close/sharp, but it should be perfectly aligned and not crooked. I still think it's better than the "finger" adjustment shown in this video that's not as accurate. Might want to try different clipper guards with a larger gap, or just buy a blade setter (they do work but they're kind of expensive)
@@gc3k I ended up doing it with my hands and using a magnifying macro lens on my phone camera. I made the blade teeth a tiny bit lower. The gap was so tiny not even a hair thickness. I tested it on myself it doesn’t make the skin red unless you press hard for a long time.
Can you do a review on your barber chair?
Good idea, but I’d have to review and compare a few to give people a clear idea of what to buy
I just got the Andis T Outliner, corded. My Wahl balding clipper’s motor finally died on me. I use it to “shave” clip my head bald, and shave my face. I’m super impressed with the Andis. It cuts closer than the Wahl. I did notice the blade was misaligned right out of the box. I’m going to try your manual method.
Manual works well, plus it helps you can feel it on yourself to see if it’s chewing
@@barbersloungeI did a good job of getting it zero gap, yet it was a bit too aggressive for me (wasn’t nipping me, just too aggressive). I reset it to maybe 1mm lower from fixed blade, and I purchased the Andis shaver. I’m loving this shaver for finishing, to get my head and face nice and smooth.
I have the newer version of cordless T-Outliners they came zero gapped already
I like how they come out of the box too myself, but some people really like to get it as close to the point where it almost chews as possible. Mainly if you don’t like to use a razor
Why does mine pull hair ?
Old, dull, maybe not lined up correctly, every time I’ve had that happen I’ve only been able to temporarily fix it, need new blades, clipper or switch to a different brand like Stylecraft
@@barberslounge yea mine is brand new going to try line it up correctly. Thanks
!!!
My Andis still have a cord...
Same process
No dam difference from the eyebal and the tool haha gimmick
