That was brilliant 👍 good to see your offsiders helping out. I liked how you straightened the rims out and overcome the dent. Those paint transitions looked pretty cool also. Nice sandblaster 😁 All in all a fantastic job 👏👏👏👏
Big thanks buddy. Those type of projects are super time consuming and theres always something going wrong behind the scenes .. Re- sandblaster, think I need to upgrade compressor as well, current one is struggling 👍👩🔧
What a great item and beautifully restored 👍👍 Lots of work !! Congrats 👏 A tip for the sandblaster, if you can install a dust extraction system you will get clearer shots ( remember lots of people like to watch sandblasting process). Have a great weekend !
Thank you mate. Yes a lot of work indeed. And a lot of trial and error behind the scenes. This is a toy that brings back so many memories to many so there was a bit of pressure to get it right , like paint colours and stripes. 😉👩🔧
While painting is it that high to keep the kids off of it?? It looks great and you did an excellent job restoring it! Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Good question. 2 main reasons - Old paint is likely to contain lead.(which you dont want to turn into dust and breath in). Less blasting media contamination, so it can re-used it for longer.
Check out this other video where I restore a Cyclops Tandem Tricle ua-cam.com/video/5xHFozn4Q-I/v-deo.html

Looks like the client was happy too !
Thank you for checking my other videos. That was a good little project to do. But always ends up taking more time than you expect 🤣👍
Beautifully done, I love to see vintage items restored. It's important not to throw things away just because they're old.

Hi could you tell me where you got your new rubber front plz
Thanks for watching - parts from : thepedalcarguy.com
Very nice, I'm wondering why you use black coloured primer? Not that it matters the end result is still great.
Thanks for watching. This is a sandable primer which actually dries to a grey colour 😉👍
@@LittleRestorers ah ok that sounds interesting if you could give me the brand name when you can please.
@@waynemurray7862 No worries- That was Rustoleum Primer.
Hi there. What sort of rubber did you use for the new tyres, and where did you. get it?Where did you get the replacement sticker?
Thanks for watching. The parts you mentioned can be obtained from Dave. Search for : thepedalcarguy.com
Was the original paint lead based? Do you use a tester,
I believe the original paint would have contained lead as they only started reducing lead in domestic paint in the early 70's here in Australia.
What's the point of using paint stripper if you have a sand blaster? Isn't that just an extra step for no reason?
Good question. 2 main reasons -
Old paint is likely to contain lead.(which you dont want to turn into dust and breath in).
Less blasting media contamination, so it can re-used it for longer.
