Easy Korokke "Croquette" Japanese comfort food

- My mom feels like making some korokke today. Definitely one of our favorites. Please give it a try.
Ingredients: Flour, egg, frying oil, panko, meat or no meat, potatoes and onions,
Salt and pepper optional

I'm half Japanese, and my mother would make korroke once in a while. I remember she would make the patties the night before, and refrigerate them overnight on a sheet pan to let them rest and firm up. They were always so good with Ikari sauce and shredded cabbage. Your mother makes them look easy to make, but I remember them being somewhat labor intensive but so worth it!

Btw I found the sara udon at DQ and made it last night. I had the veggies but my meat was frozen so had to use the ol' standby--spam! Thank you for telling us about sara udon... definitely going to buy it again. I hope your mom is building up her immune health and feels better soon.

Great to see you Nikki and your Mom! This recipe is so delicious. I actually remember seeing your Mom making this in Tokyo about three years ago! She was at Shinichi's home. This is obviously a dish her kids love! 😊. Brian looked tired after a day at work. At least he can relax and have a tasty dinner. I wonder if you could put curry powder in this recipe?
