First ad I actually bought he said he had put it on there because a friend had built it and he wasn't sure why was there
Whatttt you did????? No
@@TimmyJoePCTech I just ended up scrapping it and selling parts LMAO
I guess you didn't have the bracket to use the cpu cooler at the back of the case eh? Hehe
Lol.. I talked to him on Facebook as well he told me the same story!
@@TimmyJoePCTech LMAO I just got rid of it was full of dust
The "Using dust as an SLI connector" bit had me nearly in tears
but it works so well lol
water cooling my wifi is my next project, looks challenging and I love a challenge
Linus? Is that you?
Water cool your Router, it's not practical, just cool
Try watercooling your PSU yourself ,(not a watercooling ready one) , that should be a really nice challenge..
Or at least a shocking one...
@@phillylove7290 thx, Good to know! :)
Just get one of those bladeless fans to put next to the thing and be done with it .......
5:38 That "23 Thousand Dollar" system only has 3 out of the 4 "2080Ti's" hooked up in SLI..
the cards in the pictures arent even 2080 tis...... lol
Worse, the SLI bridge shown is only 2-way. The one in the middle is just covered, without connection. Regardless, it is literally worth less than half of the advertised price (about 11k)
@@brenaan_ how can you tell? (other than him calling the rtx 1080tis the second time.)
NV link...
@@gavin2067 look at the sli connector, the 2080 ti has an nvlink connector, but you can clearly see that those cards have normal sli connectors
Tim : why the frickening did you water cool the wifi
Linus : uhmmmm ,coz we can fricken do it !!!!!
well what do you expect when you have a 3 year old building a computer hot glue and water cool the wifi cause the wifi will over heat more then the cpu or gpu in the 3 year olds mind
"He watercooled the wi-fi!"
IT'S JUST A HOSE RUNNING THROUGH THE BOX!!!
Still water cooling the air ;)
He said it was intended to be used as a 'deep learning' workstation. To do any kind of compute work you actually don't need the cards to be connected via SLI. I'm not saying that the pricing is right nor that 2080 Ti's or 1080 Ti's are good for computing tho.
That and SLI would slow any deep learning workflow and prevent the use of the 2nd GPUs Vram as it will pointlessly duplicate what ever the 1st GPU has loaded up.
Grinning so big my cheeks hurt! The Honda build made my day.
After rushing through this video/edit (too much going on in life ffs) and rewatching it a few hours later I noticed SOOOOO many more things I could have made fun of in this episode... Like for sure only 2 of the 4 SLI "rtx 2080s" are bridged together. That jungle sandwich says it had a hyper 212, not in picture. Liquid cooled PC has 2 dims installed beside each other. Acer PC has first aid kit, on floor, probably should have used it on that mutilated PC. Upsidedown corsair AIO PC spelled Nvidia as Nivida. And finally the fkn Honda motor says its a Pentium 3 dual core and I knew that was wrong but why didn't I point it out more is beyond me lol.
What a fkn wild ride this was, thanks for watching!
8:06 hyper 212 evo? All i see it the stock amd wraith cooler... maybe its in the back of the first build...
To be fair if you're doing deep learning or other compute applications SLI is irrelevant because you're not actually outputting any video. But then surely you'd want quadros?
Lmao I like the jungle sandwich how it says “only used for a few hours” as it’s caked in dust
Probably gets a huge fps boost when Vtec kicks in though!
Man he water-cooled the WiFi hahahahahahahaha i cant stop laughing right now
Sounds like something linus would do
lmao the best part tho, it's just a tube running through the plastic case.
Im fucking done after that I died laughing rest in piece
A dual-core Pentium 3?! That's either a core 2 duo or a priceless artifact.
Fun fact: there were 'Dualcore' Pentium 3's ... serverboards had 2 CPU sockets, each holding one CPU. See i.ebayimg.com/images/g/-g0AAOSw44BYUwHg/s-l640.jpg or i.ebayimg.com/images/i/292978116555-0-1/s-l1000.jpg (both Slot and PGA Socket variations existed)
I think the first CPU that ever had support for that was the Pentium Pro back then ages ago
@@AdmireFiestaGuild Yeah but technically speaking, it's a Dual CPU, not a DualCore
Also since when did "Dual-Core Pentium 3" motherboards have native sata support :D
I hope you liked this one, I certainly died laughing on a few of them... Also I'm aware I screwed up with the names covering attempt... GOSH LEAVE ME ALONE!
03:41 AMD crossfire can work without a connector between the 2 cards.
Some good ads in this man! Cheers
Timmy Joe, there is no Hyper 212 EVO in the Spaghetti Sandwich PC....
@@TheNews1990 can u read.... one is an nvidia card dumbass
@@TheNews1990 hahahhahahahahhah
that last one is glorious, and I have made "gaming machines" in hiking boot boxes in a pinch
>8:05
There's no Hyper 212 in there tho, kek.
OMG I LOVE YOU FOR REALISING! I WAS FLIPPING MY SHIT!
Yo you haven't heard of multi GPU Dustfire?
11:42 Verge RAM installation technique spotted! TRIGGERED ALERT!
At first i didnt get it but now that i know what you are talking about... oh no.
3:57 "Use dust as a SLI connector" LMAO
Did the Verge build the First Pc LMAO 😂
I’m always looking forward to Newb Plebs! It’s the highlight of my life! Yea I’m cool.
Second add, the Ram cooler in the Optical drive area is comical
I'm pretty sure you could use 4 GPus without SLI for deep learning applications.
Sort of. So long as you can tell the applications to run on a specific card, then maybe, but more likely to get different graphics applications to run at the same time but smoother and more efficiently when running at the same time. Or have the three SLI together do the "heavy lifting" and have the 4th do the graphics output, you can increase the performance just slightly.
But overall, not really worth it.
Dude I’d buy that VTEC case and build a PS2 Gran Turismo machine in it 😂
I'd transform it into a rice cooker
8:37 OMG, I laughed way harder at that than I should have. You got lucky Timmehhhh, almost spit my coffee all over my keyboard, you silly Canuck.
Di-Did he really mount the fan with the heat sync still attached
I hope its a temp reading heat sink
Come on man! Z77 is 2nd and 3rd gen not 4th gen! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DESTROY THEM NOT JOIN THEM!
I thought the same thing lol.
Sandy bridge was the best line up of i7/i5 CPUs for gaming even now they some what hold up. They were beasts in CPU performance
@@thealien_ali3382 what is the best now for the price u know?
I predict it has a 2500k
@@oxaile4021 counting on i5 2500k also, or 2400 non-k
E: also Z77 doesnt have M.2 support.
Yo dawg, I heard you like keeping yo cpu cool. So we put a cpu cooler on yo cpu cooler so you can keep yo cpu cool while yo cpu gets cool!
Technically, when you put a fan on a heatsink that is exactly what you are doing.
lol, 'dust as an sli connector' Cool vid!
Omg I should buy the last one, I live 40 minutes from Campbell river, I'll send it to you.
Edit: its 120$ now.
"Edit: its 120$ now."
Hmmm Error. Price History show $120 _15:20_
So did you buy it?
Update?
8:33 Wait, that's Not a Hyper 212 EVO. It's a boxed Cooler!
I've installed shop pressure filtered air injectors into wifi boosters before. Was the best and easiest solution at the time. The ambient temp in their location was running over 120°F and it kept them cool plus dust free 24/7. This also works for industrial automation computers as long as idiot shop managers don't turn off their air. The decompression from 7bar to 1.5bar provides enough delta for it to work. You wouldn't want to do it with pre-oiled equipment air like used for impact wrenches/etc but in a shop that has pneumatic automation it kicks-ass.
What's next a diy water cooled keyboard and mouse.
Does it count as a watercooled keyboard if it a part of a water cooled laptop?
The 4 way "sli" RTX 2080ti isn't ridicules, since he said this pc is for deep learning... Although the price is overly high, I think there's not much problem with that build.
But keep up the good work Timmy.
Elon Wong pretty much. They won’t be SLI but they will still work just fine for computing.
8:04 let's play, spot the 212 Evo!
Hyper 212 Evo listed. Stock AMD fan installed, Hyper 212 MIA.
i had to roll back the the wifi watercooling part 6 times to get maximum laughing out of my self.. OMFG i thought i had seen it all. xD xD ( he put a tube trough it..HE PUT A TUBE TROUGH IT! ) Hahahahaha
Being from Wichita, KS I'm both so glad that you gave us a shout out (and pronounced the name right) and yet embarrassed because of the shame that craigslist listing brought us.
Lol 5:10 the joint is up his nose 🤣🤣🤣
Omg I am tears after that custom honda water cooled trash can!! Lol. Literal tears and my cheeks are sore from all the laughing. This is quality content.
11:57 the chipset is a z77, used by most 3rd gen core i5's, you would need a z87 for that, fun fact: i have an i5 4570 on a z87 mobo
Ya, the 60's series chipsets is Sandy Bridge, 70s series is Ivy Bridge and 80s series is Haswell.
I have a 4430 on a Z97 :p
@@ignasanchezl That's because you have a Broadwell board... the 90-series is Broadwell... all Intel Boards support two generations... 60/70 boards support Sandy/Ivy Bridge, 80/90 boards support Haswell/Broadwell... what you did was buy a top of the line Broadwell board (Z97) and stuck a generation old i5 CPU in it (the 4430 Haswell CPU)... that's not my fault. My main point stands, the Z77 board only supports Sandy/Ivy Bridge CPUs... you can't put a Haswell in a Z77 Board.
yeah they came out with the Haswell refresh
I was saying I have a Z board on the lowest end i5 it supports
after this video im water cooling my speakers
"this is a bit sassy for Craigslist, I might report it"
BOO THIS MAN
Damn it Timmy Joe that ending... took me way off guard and now I gotta clean soda off my screen... >_< XDD
Im digging the dinosaur with hardhat in the background on the shelf. It's very 1991 era.
2nd ad, They probs have the GT730 in there for PhysX - you could (at one point) use an nVidia card for just PhysX and AMD for the rest :)
Indeed you can. But I can tell you, and everybody else, that a gt730 will do nothing for physx. I got a 730 very cheap a few years ago and used it for physx. I could not do anything above the lowest settings and I suffered fps hits. You are better off with a really good single gpu and not bothering with physx at all. It's not like any games ever made good use of physx anyway.
@@Nsixtyfourlink That doesn't mean that they weren't trying to do just that here... it was just a thought :)
OMG HGAHAHAHAHAHAHA the honda one where the dude "water cooled" his wifi by running a tube through the router having the tube lay across the stock heat sink literally made me lose my fucking mind die laughing.
I don't even look at Craig's List for computers anymore, in Wichita County, TX people think their computers and parts that are 5 years old are still worth the price they purchased them for, you have to look in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to find fair prices on used computer equipment, and that's just over 2 hours away.
the ad where it said it has a 212 Evo in description, it wasnt even in the picture, it looked like a stock cooler LOL!
Yeah there is it's on the back of the case beside the intel stock cooler.
13:50 I mean if you're gaming at 4k or above the bottleneck *might* not be THAT bad if you overclock the 8350 heavily. It's got a pretty solid looking AIO so I think it's not the worst as long as it's going for maybe like below $1600. (Mainly cause the 2080 ti goes for over $1000)
That last one killed me 😂😂
Go this randomly recommended on a video from Jay, was not disapointed! :D Got trough the full playlist and probably die from laughing.
The water cooled wifi adapter got me cracking up
Ay glad to see my submission made it. Very funny video, keep them coming!
the first picture you showed of the pc with 2 coolers it almost looked at first like he was using the heat sink to cool his gpu plate LMAO
Watercooling your wifi you say?...
The spray in the face lol
goddamn that water cooled wifi thing made my day..
Wow the wooden box sprayed silver i couldn't stop laughing
I'm not even upset if mine doesn't make it. I'm just super happy to see my name on the screen!
The reason the logo was upside down is that it pushes on the ram stick and could potentially damage said stick. I have the same problem with my AIO.
water cooling your WiFi the must stillest thing I ever seen 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Got to be honest though, the things run hot :D
MalhaIIa true as fuck🤣🤣🤣
OMG THAT ENDING! I can't stop laughing! 😂 🤣😂 🤣😂 🤣
8:37 When someone leaves the diverter valve on and you start the shower
Dude that "Aliens face" Is actually a Ram cooling fan addon lol, Used to have one, I bought it just for shits and giggles cause they're pointless haha.
For the 4x 2080ti SLI setup, you can see that 2 of the cards are in SLI and 2 are left on their own. If the PC is for "deep learning" like it says, then SLI isn't actually needed and the 2 GPUs that aren't being utilized by the system /at all/ can be 100% dedicated to doing that deep learning. Kinda like bitcoin mining where you can slap 6+ gpus in 1 system.
He's just getting away calling it an SLI setup bc 2 of them are in SLI incase you want to game or something on your workstation PC, or do some video editing that'll utilize a SLI connection.
to be fair, for the second ad, with DX12 (though, im not sure if the 730 supports DX12), as soon as devs start to implement it, you can use 2 different GPUs for different parts of the rendering pipeline, using 'Explicit multi-GPU' (or heterogeneous compute as its sometimes called), though, not sure how well it will actually work...
4000 series Cpus were Z87/Z97. Z77 was for 3000 series Ivy bridge and the older 2000 Sandy bridge cpus. ;)
You should probably put the title of this series at the front of all the titles. I didn't even know this was a series on your channel.
The Honda tower looks like a death trap from the late 90's
No fricken way!!!! That first one was previously trying to be sold last year on an app mercari and I actually ask the guy and he said he meant to do that😂😂😂
That Honda Vtec Computer, a piece of (not so) modern art!
ive been waiting for the Acer i sub'd to you to come up in a vid, thank you for featuring it in your video!!!
Ohhh thanks, I dont feel so bad anymore about my 1st janky build now...! Love da vids...
I think it needs to go to a museum...
5:20 on the contrary, if this hardware was set up for deep learning and AI, then those 4x "2080Tis" would have 100% scaling without the use of SLI / NVLink. GPU compute bound applications don't need SLI or NVlink to be able to use all the GPUs in a system.
You can use 4 2080 Tis together in GPGPU for machine learning. Sure, it's not SLI, but you don't need the copied VRAM of SLI in compute, so that doesn't really matter.
That Honda PC has nothing on the earwax AirPods....lol
that honda vtec pc is not even an hour away from where i live hahaha
The vtec computer is a good resemblance of how real civics are built
3:50 OMFG! I had an Asus P8Z68V-LX motherboard too, for my i7-2600k! Except THE MOTHERBOARD DIED AFTER A YEAR! First time that has EVER happened to me! I replaced her with an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 which is still ticking away like new for a friend now!
The ad with the case and tubing was a 2600k. I laughed at it when I saw it
That last one is in a league of it's own. Probably doesn't even need a PSU, cause it runs on V8 owner's tears baby!
8:46 four dollars at the dollar store 🤔 hold up
I can watch these kind of video's all day long !!! Keep doing these !
Just an FYI. I was not able to send an ad to the email in the description.
You can hook up four 2080 but its not going to be for SLI or gaming it can be either used for Deep Learning, CUDA work or anything that utilizes GPU processing
i lol'd many times during this. ty
That 212 build was posted in KY, yet I never saw it once and I search marketplace and Craigslist daily here in KY. Weird.
That ending lol!
That was Hilariouse. Thanks for the laugh
haha gotta love that post video extra gag . LOl .
W.r.t. the 23k PC, SLI is irrelevant for machine learning since each GPU is working as an independent compute unit, so it actually does make sense to have 4 of them (assuming you can partition your presumably very large data set efficiently) as long as you have the PCIe lanes to run them at full 16x, which the Threadripper does. It's strange that there is an SLI bridge at all, only connecting the 1st and 3rd cards, I guess the seller wanted to do some gaming on it too.
Not saying it's a good deal (pretty sure the build is like 10k brand new including water cooling), a good idea to sell it on eBay, or weighing in on the 1080Ti/2080Ti thing because the seller should know better than to make that mistake (though at this price, I'd hope they're 2080Tis, also because the tensor cores are actually useful for ML), but otherwise the build is actually on point.
The pc with two heatsinks seems like really good deal
That's me! Thanks Timbo!
3:57 "and use dust as an SLI connector".... LMFAO.
6:06 "better block out that phone number" *still shows phone number*
