Just an FYI, you can pull the rubber door seal trim off the car along the bottom of the door, and there is actually a convenient channel pre-molded into the white plastic carpet framing that fits the power wire perfectly. I was able to thread it through that all the way to the rear of the car in minutes!
Great video y’all, when splicing in wires on back of factory head unit did you splice into 2 wires for left door and right door or was that 2 wires for 1 door speaker? Thanks!
14:48 the black probe is going into speaker wire, what is that speaker wire connected to? In the video it looks like a loose pile of wire laying in the seat not connected to anything. I'm doing that right now and multi meter isn't beeping. I must be missing something that the speaker wire should be plugged into. The LOC? The subwoofer? To be clear, in the video at 14:48 he's got one end of the speaker wire in his hand, what's the other end connected to?
We were testing to make sure the wire that we were running to the loc had a connection to the left and right speaker connections for one of the door speakers. We stuck one end of the meter in the connector that goes in the back of the radio and one end to the end of the speaker wire making sure we had a connection between the two
Nice. I don’t see why you had to go to the back of the radio. The speaker wires run to each rear door so why couldn’t you grab the set of wires in the harness near the driver rear door?
@@telhack693 From all the videos I've found and forum posts I've seen, I believe the concerns are the wire colors might not be consistent. Might be blue wire coming from the back of the head unit, but at the door at the speaker it might be a different color. This is just stuff I've read so I don't know for certain.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the step-by-step. Hope you hit 1k!
This is sick. I think I wanna try and do 2, 10inch subs now in the back
there is rubber grommet in a very convenient firewall location. what a pain to run through the door the way you did it
Did the sub fit completely under the seat? I was waiting the whole video to see the fitment, but you guys didn’t end up showing it.
Ya it fit perfectly under the seat.
Which color wires do i need to splice on the head unit? Doing this install tomorrow

Thanks! We spliced into 2 wires for one door speaker a left and right channel
Couldn't you have spliced into the rear door speakers instead of removing the radio?
Yes that would have worked too
