This stream was honestly wild fun, and now that I'm back I'll hopefully be able to do some more like it. Putting my ancient, rusty skills at Oblivion to work by trying to survive the hardcore experience was mad fun, and I'm keen to do a Skyrim one next if people are interested.

I've also removed Rumble from the opening intro and from my Linktree because it STILL hasn't synced my videos like it should have, despite it being weeks now. I've got no use for the site if it's not going to actually back-up my videos properly, and the UI is way worse than Odysee. Plus, people were mostly using Odysee anyway with Rumble having barely any traffic in comparison. If I find another good back-up site for my videos (that isn't just a patreon alternative), I'll look into using that too. The intro will keep changing depending on the current state of things, but it's mainly there so that I don't get insta-demonetised for saying asshole or dickhead (no, I'm not joking, that's the real rules) or showing some video game violence in the first 15 seconds.

I gotta play oblivion more but I want to wait for skyblivion, now I’m just doing skytogether & additional lore accurate mods. Fun seeing more than just arma but damn anything you play is awesome solo or not just happy to experience stuff like this along with you.

Great to see you posting more stuff again. Love these kinds of videos. Another UA-camr I follow made a similar series in Skyrim and turned into an epic for the ages. If you ever think of doing more challenges like these in the future, I'd be all for it!

I think it's the bright colour pallet. It gives the whole world a seemingly fairytail feeling, and I LOVE IT!
The idea of an innkeeper paying a drunken horse thief 20 gold to kill a fucking necromancer living in her backyard like they're a wasp nest makes me dead lmao.
I'd reccomend "Death consumes all" for Skyrim if you like this mod! It's quite enjoyable in my own oppinion

As someone who’s related to an infamous American horse thief, it’s nice to be so wonderfully represented in a video
I remember this stream, watching you stealing horses and riding off in search of zombies while chatting with stream was peak comf.

Rimmy getting jumped by zombies for the first time while drunk and fighting a ghost was amazing.
Also, I really like that the Skingrad newspaper report blames the dead flock on a bear, and then it was an actual infected bear. I doubt that was intentional, but it was really nice.

i had quite a spell of this game last year, i agree it feels more fantasy-esque mainly for the color palette, but alot of the stuff such as the menus and ui are all just very fitting for a fantasy setting
You're going to persuade me to play Oblivion at this rate, Rimmy, and I'm actually looking forward to it.
I'm amazed somebody managed to make that mod without the engine catching fire
to be fair most of the mechanics were already in the engine (the goblin wars work pretty much exactly like that when they're modded back in)

Incredible, I'd love to see a second playthrough of this.
This game rocked my childhood and my adolescence, as much as KOTOR 1 and 2, and as much as the first Mass Effect
And it's still excellent even years later, I play it from time to time, like KOTOR which I play at least 3 times a year
Now I suffer from severe psychosis so I enjoy the little pleasures of life. I take them where they are, it brings me back to a time when things were still going well.
Out of the Elder Scrolls games I've played (ESIII to ES V), ESIV is still my favourite. It has the best blend of fun gameplay and great writing, in my opinion. It wasn't my first Elder Scrolls, but I really wish it was. I first played it in maybe 2019 and loved it.
This was truly awesome.
Always great to see oblivion get some love, and to see Rimmy clearly having a blast!

I 100% agree with the sentiment that Oblivion feels more like a fantasy game than Skyrim.
The colours are vibrant and fun, the bloom is done in a way that makes everything feel dream-like, and most importantly-

I've got to say I started my first real Oblivion playthrough on a whim in like December, and now as of February I'm balancing like a 100+ modlist and and loving every second of living every second in feat of CTDs.
So glad I gave this game a shot after all these years. A lot of love was clearly put into it and the modding scene is so chill and awesome. The whole game and it's surrounding communityhas this wonderful *vibe* you just have to experience.

Disease resistant, can fight in the water, but better than a zombie. Known for being strong and fast in lore...perfect zombie hunters.

I enjoyed The Elder Scrolls growing up but as I often lacked all the expansions and got them later, I'd rarely be able to play the mods I wanted to so just stuck to vanilla. Your modding of Oblivion and joy for the game is infectious. I'll never like it as much as Morrowind or Skyrim, but this and the Goblin Wars video have helped Me see it as a less of a shitstain/mistake/tech demo and more of an unrealized gem that was also, honestly, quite close to greatness.
It was never going to be MY perfect Elder Scrolls game, but as I see the dynamic combat in action and organic world events unfolding and informing how you self-direct in play and talk about the fantasyland vibes of the colour pallete and zones I really see an elegance in the design philosophy here. I honestly think if they'd gone a bit more full tilt this would've been a much more addictive game for Me, and I already played it a ton as a kid. But I'm sure there were complications with that at time of release.
* a bit more full tilt with the potential for dynamic NPC packages that did more than put them to bed, had them rake cabbages, or die before I ever met them walking on the road to some wolves where I'd never find their corpse
