  • Blanchisseuse Village is a small village on the North Coast of Trinidad. It is a heavenly place with the forest meeting the sea and the clear Marianne River flowing through to meet the sea. There are several nature related activities in Blanchisseuse including hiking to the Three Pools along the Marianne River and continuing on to the Avocat Waterfall. The village is also the starting point for the hike to the Paria Waterfall and along the way you see the historic suspension bridge over the river. Blanchisseuse is an ideal place for relaxing at any of its several beaches or alongside the river.

Thank you very much Pointboy12. I grew up in Blanchisseuse as a baby through my early teens. I went to live in the US as an older teen. I will never forget where I came from. I live in California now, but none of the beaches here can compare with the pristine beaches I grew up on in Trinidad. I really appreciate seeing this video. I did recognize the catholic church and the police station.
I went to miss lynn`s preschool in upper village and primary school in lower village when the school was opposite the police station. They moved the school a few years late on a hill a few miles up the road. I am miss Dora Betancourt`s grandson. I dont know if you know her. She lived there all her life. I also recognize the Marianne bridge even though I was only up there to see it once.

Hi yes I love your video. But you did not mention that ppl can hike to turtle rock or cathedral rock or paria waterfall. Or they can take a pirouge to paria waterfall. I have been camping on the beach for Easter at paria water fall and yes the leather back turtles they do come back to lay their eggs and it was such a wonderful thing to see like fifty at one time just coming on shore to lay their eggs just outside the tents. Oh my it was wonderful. Great video 🇹🇹❤️

I am very glad that you liked the video. In the clip that showed the bridge I mentioned about hiking to Paria. I plan to release another video later this year that shows beyond the bridge. I have shot some of the video but want to go back and take some additional imagery. However before that I am working on a video about Point Fortin which I will release in April and also some videos on the Toco area for April and May.
