jmasoncar s given time the maps and software will certainly improve.Tuners obviously have to jump right in and learn.I would probably suggest consumers wait a few months while they work bugs out.I really want to get my hands on one,mostly tune 8th gens and Subarus in this area.

Is weird that it do 14.2 with Hondata, they are suppose to do that stock, even the V6 2017 sedan with the 6 speed auto, just with better tires should get 14.0 seconds or even 13.9
Nice video, I wonder if the car has been properly tuned . The stock trap speeds are probably due to bad track conditions or the lack of experience from the driver. How much did the car dyno after the tune ?
At 375 lbs/torque something isn't right with these 1/4 mile runs. Must have tons of wheel spin, maybe it's time for a wheel and tire upgrade or some semi slicks?
Does this have Hondata Stage 2 tune because you can find the videos where it makes 50 more HP in the middle of the power band and tops out at 377lbs of torque which is pretty damn impressive for $700 or less. Stock does 0-60 in under 6 and with the governor off I bet the Accord 2.0T does over 130MPH.
That’s not bad for being Fontana, the DA is shitty there most of the time, usually 1500-3000+ft. I was expecting a solid 3 mph gain though, but the weather on different days makes a difference. Too many variables.
Either got a bad start with the FlashPro or it really doesn't make that much difference. At least according to this video. That is depressing to see. Did you try different starts with the flashpro stage 2?
The big Difference is in mid range and low end power 2000rpms to 4500rpms daily it makes a difference but not much when your racing is all on the top end power 5000rpm to 7000rpm red line that's y I added new parts for the top end to open up and ran 13.6 at 103mph ua-cam.com/video/v00xl-m6XiA/v-deo.html
Impressive for a 4cyl I guess...sounds like hell of course I hate Honda killed the sweet souding and reving V6 motor. That 3.2 and 3.5 is great. Too bad the new thing is a requirement of a turbo before an engine gets any love. I say we keep the V8 in sport sedans as long as possible!
@legolas24 Not enough for me to bother with forced induction. In something like a WRX, turbo is so engineered-in, that I'd venture over to the world of boost. On a Accord (at least from a OEM standpoint) it just seems like a cheaty way to up HP.
Shuffle3956 They might just cause this accord in particular is not selling that good like they thought it was especially since its competition (Toyota Camry xse) is selling a lot better it’s has more horse power an 8 speed trans that shifts a lot faster than the 10 speed in the accord and it has a V6 and I’m not a fan boy of Toyota either I own a Honda to begin with they have to really make something big happen in the next year or so to catch up

Get a 2.5 -3" exhaust. Remove cats or get a bypass installed. Get a wideband 02 sensor and an aftermarket boost sensor. Get better tires for front (soft rubber) and practice launching easy at first. Should be a mid 13sec car easy. But youre gonna need at minimum all of these. Car has potential. Just needs aftermarket support. Oh.. and find some free-flowing headers for better top end.
Disappointed to say the least old type s acura models run that ..not to mention v6 accords .. i have video on my page of new 2.0t running 14.1 here in sacramento.. not sure if it was stock or tuned.. i was thinking these would be running nearly mid 13s with a tune with 10spd auto ... guess not
We (North America Market) got the Civic Type-R in exchange for losing our beloved J-series V6 engines. BAD trade! Hell, the Auto V6 Accords with just basic bolt-ons were fast; even more so if you had the 6-speed. Now you get an OEM turbo to TRY and make up for the loss of 2 cylinders and reduced displacement,,,,,,,,,,,,,so even if it manages to be as quick as the V6, you just added lots of complexity for little-to-no gain.
I couldn't hold out any longer for the Accord 2.0 Sport 6Spd. to arrive at dealerships, so I went and purchased a 2017 Fusion Sport as well. And that is the ultimate sleeper car hands down! Don't know how many cars I've blown away... Numerous BMW 3-series & X5, Dodge Charger, Audi A6, Lexus GS & IS350 F Sport, etc, etc. Was propositioned on the same day within minutes by a Camaro and Charger SRT. When these guys see me driving fast, they want a piece of the action. They want to try to pull up and pass me. Nope! Not today! Car is quick but desires a tune and definitely needs stiffer/lower springs

A couple more stock runs would've given us a better average of times to compare to the tuned runs. Overall tho, .2 isn't bad for a simple tuner with no modifications
I seriously hope you aren't running a tuned turbocharged engine on 87 octane. If you're on the east cost, you must run 93 and on the west coast where 93 isn't available, 91 is the lowest octane. Otherwise you will either cause significant damage to the engine from predetonation or the ECU will cut timing, fuel and boost to preserve engine from loads of knocking. Never run cheap gas in a turbocharged car with direct injection and a tune!
While I haven’t timed it with the Hondata there is a huge difference between it and stock. You will see when it hits 2nd it looses a little bit of traction.
Thanks for the video. I really want to justify spending the money on a tuner. My problem is all the hondata, ktuner website's have these outrageous hp/tq number increases. Then when I see real people putting them to the test on the track. I don't see any outrageous track times after the tune. I mean they claim a 88ft lbs tq increase with a stage 2 tune. That = what a second better time at the track? I dunno. leaves me confused I guess.

The power and everything might be there but a lot of it has to do on how the power is put down, if the tires are stock or dont have grip its going to cause a lot of wheel spin. Again these new engines have big potential but their fairly new so the parts are still limited . IMO.😎. (KSERIES .MOTOR) k20c4 very similar to the type r engine, just more refined and toned down, honda made it that way so the typeR wont get overlooked. black07si True some of them do. I do know a few guys that ran 13.9 stock. I also know a couple of other guys with just a few bolt-ons and a tune to run very low 13s.
Trevon Adams I'm sorry but unless your running drag radials just like those 1.5t civics do, your not running twelves in the car. Fwd is a huge limitation for this kind of power until you get a proper tire a fusion sport with similar mods will leave this car for dead just saying.

Titan unless you saw it in person i think that guy exaggerated a bit. 2012 juke ran 16.0 at best, im not seeing a 1.6sec drop in the 1/4 from bolt ons with no tune. after it was tuned, it would certainly be possible considering you can crank up the boost with a tune

Ieatpeople2 yeah, when he ran the 13.9 he said he dyno'd at 230whp at 235wtq at 24psi. Stock he said was 170/180 at 16psi. Next time i see him at Texas Motorplex i will be sure to UA-cam whem he runs.
This car should be faster if it has 375 ft lbs of torque which they claim a stage 2 can do. My 4200 lb 535D will eat cars like this for lunch just on a tune.

Yes Brandon, Honda F'ed up big by dropping the V6; many have already flipped over to Toyota and their new V6 Camry. I had a good talk with a sales rep at our auto show about why Honda did this: his answer boils down to trying to phase into the new CAFE standards before they become mandatory. If we were talking about a brand such as Hummer (which isn't even around anymore) I could understand, but HONDA !? Come the F on, Honda can flip a switch and have their whole lineup in ECO mode,,, they don't have to phase into it. There is also rumblings that the lack of a V6 in the Honda lineup will drive customers into Acura models.

Never never never use 87 octane in a turbocharged car, especially not one running a tune. You're also losing about 30 horsepower running on 87 octane vs 93. If you're in California, at least use 91.

The turbos typically can unlock more potential from simple bolt-ons.

I ran my stock 2.0T Sport at 13.9 at 101 mph. At a local track test in tune. Seems slower with a tune
maybe conditions were different or he didn't launch it as hard?. after all, he launched from idle rpm.
I have a 2018 2.0 turbo sport. I ran 13.95 at 101.52mph at national trails on 6-6-18. Completely stock.

While I haven’t timed it with the Hondata there is a huge difference between it and stock. You will see when it hits 2nd it looses a little bit of traction.

Thanks for the video. I really want to justify spending the money on a tuner. My problem is all the hondata, ktuner website's have these outrageous hp/tq number increases. Then when I see real people putting them to the test on the track. I don't see any outrageous track times after the tune. I mean they claim a 88ft lbs tq increase
with a stage 2 tune. That = what a second better time at the track? I dunno. leaves me confused I guess.
It made 100tq over stock 275tq to 375tq but that's at 3500rpms
It isn't just about hp and tq. Gotta have good brakes, suspension and tires too. For a drag race, you definitely need good tires and fuel too.

The power and everything might be there but a lot of it has to do on how the power is put down, if the tires are stock or dont have grip its going to cause a lot of wheel spin. Again this is all just based on the video with no specific parts info .at least he tried and put some numbers down. Again these new engines have big potential but their fairly new so the parts are still limited . IMO.😎.
(KSERIES .MOTOR) k20c4 very similar to the type r engine, just more refined and toned down, honda made it that way so the typeR wont get overlooked. But then again like I said give it a year or so and this engine has really big potential .

You have to go into vehicle settings and add tachometer all the time. There are tons of videos on youtube

True some of them do. I do know a few guys that ran 13.9 stock. I also know a couple of other guys with just a few bolt-ons and a tune to run very low 13s.

Trevon Adams I'm sorry but unless your running drag radials just like those 1.5t civics do, your not running twelves in the car. Fwd is a huge limitation for this kind of power until you get a proper tire a fusion sport with similar mods will leave this car for dead just saying.

Thats surprisingly slow. Especially for Hondata Stage 2... thats kind of a joke... 1 or 2 tenths faster??? I would expect this to be a mid 13 second car .. maybe Ktuner will get it there.
I am disappointed. I clicked in here expecting this to be about 13.8-13.9 given that the magazines have already showed them stock with those numbers and better. What is killing your numbers? Cool but idk, i know a guy with a 2012 juke and he did a 14.44 @97mph. All he did was injen cai and injen catback. Then he did a tume and did a 13.99 @ 99mph. And he has a cvt.

Titan unless you saw it in person i think that guy exaggerated a bit. 2012 juke ran 16.0 at best, im not seeing a 1.6sec drop in the 1/4 from bolt ons with no tune. after it was tuned, it would certainly be possible considering you can crank up the boost with a tune

Ieatpeople2 yeah, when he ran the 13.9 he said he dyno'd at 230whp at 235wtq at 24psi. Stock he said was 170/180 at 16psi. Next time i see him at Texas Motorplex i will be sure to UA-cam whem he runs.
This car should be faster if it has 375 ft lbs of torque which they claim a stage 2 can do. My 4200 lb 535D will eat cars like this for lunch just on a tune.
You forgot the most important thing Torque Curve. You know how much torque it has at 6000rpms?

Yes Brandon, Honda F'ed up big by dropping the V6; many have already flipped over to Toyota and their new V6 Camry. I had a good talk with a sales rep at our auto show about why Honda did this: his answer boils down to trying to phase into the new CAFE standards before they become mandatory. If we were talking about a brand such as Hummer (which isn't even around anymore) I could understand, but HONDA !? Come the F on, Honda can flip a switch and have their whole lineup in ECO mode,,, they don't have to phase into it. There is also rumblings that the lack of a V6 in the Honda lineup will drive customers into Acura models.
@@HalfBreedMix I traded my 2016 V6 Coupe Accord on a 2018 Accord Touring 2.0T and love it more than my V6. I am a car person and always had V8's but downsized to one car and this car runs out real good for me now.

Never never never use 87 octane in a turbocharged car, especially not one running a tune. You're also losing about 30 horsepower running on 87 octane vs 93. If you're in California, at least use 91.
