I know it's 2021 but this is as quick as a E39 M5 from back in the day and that has 400hp. Impressive car my dude.

    Jesus...
Back in the day, my good friend purchased a '97 Cobra (it was only maybe 3 years old at the time) and put the usual, basic mods on it:
    BBK Off Road H-pipe
    Cold-air with K&N
    Some very respectable Firehawk SZ50's.
His best time was a 13.6...I can't remember the trap speed. It was around 105 mph...
And now here's this 4 door Accord, with an automatic box, (granted, auto transmissions are ideal for turbo engines) NO kind of crazy sticky tires, and he's consistently running 13.6 all day long it seems.
The relentless march of technology is amazing.
(Yes, I'm aware it's ECU has a tune that allows more boost, but still: These run low to mid 14's in the quarter stock, from what I've seen, so, the tune it has is what I would call a "light" tune- it's not like it's pushing 25+ lbs of boost down it's throat or anything else crazy like that.

Yes it’s impressive I was actually gonna get a 2.0t as a daily but I decided for v6 stock for stock they’re about even anyways and v6 sounds better. It’s easier to mod a booster car than a naturally aspirated one for me to hit 13s will require a lot more mods for sure.

Mark Vertal: How is that possible? High 13's trapping @ 102 on a stock setup, gas and tune only. You must of got one of the faster 2.0's from the factory. Impressive. I think in the video here its a pretty good representation of the accord in real life. Your numbers seem slightly exaggerated. I could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time.

@@Phantom096Another 2.0 Sport ran consistent 13.9 in 10 speed auto at my local drag strip. 14.7's at 96 mph in the 6 speed seem to be right. I ran a 14.9 with a garbage 2.5 60 ft in my 6 speed manual. Auto is def faster stock for stock, but 6 speed is more fun. Just installed KTuner stage 2. @TheEmpoleon123456789 4 роки тому +1

The 10 speed is faster at launch and throughout the revs, actually. It has to do with shift times. However, I think 6MT is the better choice for this car because the longer ratios allow you to take advantage of the amazing mid range torque for passing on the highway or canyon carving.

@@TheEmpoleon123456789 definitely agree. Since having the car since 2018 I've had the chance to push this stock car to it's limits. I gotta say, canyons are super fun. Hondata/KTuner increases mid-range torque way more than high end torque due to knocking restrictions on 93 octane at high RPM. What that results in is ungodly acceleration from around 2500RPM to about 5000RPM, after which the power sort of dies down since it's not making much extra torque up there. It's fantastic for canyon carving, especially in the 6MT because you can force a higher gear and enjoy the mid range torque. It would have been amazing if this car got an LSD in the front, but I guess Honda giveth and they taketh.
